She was his savior
Banished from London for her reckless behavior, Lady Miranda Sinclair is robbed by a dashing highwayman en route to the country. By offering him a kiss in lieu of the jewels she had to leave behind, she commits the very type of act that caused her exile. When her dour guardians extend her punishment to performing charitable work at the local orphanage, she’s further tempted by … further tempted by the home’s owner, a provincial gentleman who stirs her passion in a most wicked way.
He was her downfall
Desperate to save his orphanage from financial catastrophe, Montgomery “Fox” Foxcroft leads a double life as a highwayman. The arrival of wealthy, well-connected Miranda, whose kiss he can’t forget, presents a lawful opportunity to increase his coffers. His problems seem solved — until she rejects his suit. Out of options and falling for the heiress, Fox must risk what principles he has left and take advantage of her wicked ways — even if it ruins them both.

I always enjoy a Regency more when the characters have to earn their happily-ever-after. Darcy Burke puts her hero and heroine at their most desperate and at wits’ end in order to find true love and what really matters in life. You’ll enjoy the journey, even when it involves knocking the heroine down a peg to make her understand the hero’s worth. …
Her Wicked Ways by Darcy Burke
He and he buddies are there to rob the coaches but all he is offered is a kiss. He needs money for those at the orphanage for medicine.
He finds her name Miranda, appealing. Because of her behavior she’s being sent to work at the orphanage in the way of punishment.
She had hoped to help Beatrice find a husband. That …
Loved this book
With Fox and Miranda, the plot gallops from the character’s decisions and impulses. Fox is desperately attempting to keep an orphaned and his land from ruin. Miranda is “rusticating” in the country as punishment for near-ruin. The two seem real, showing genuine emotion. The true villain is remotely affecting Fox and others and is not viewed on …
Doesn’t disappoint
I really enjoyed this historical romance. There were some interesting twists that I didn’t see coming. I enjoyed the author’s writing style. I’ll look for more by her.
Loved this book! Read the entire series (6 books) and hate that it ends.
All her books are great reads.
This book had an incredible plot to build on. Spoiled rich debutant meets a man who she thinks is impoverished, and most definitely beneath her. She is very much attracted to a dashing highwaymen. Not realizing they are the same man. He isn’t robbing the rich for himself but for the orphanage his family has run for many generations. …
It kept me wondering how this would ever work out. She was the daughter of a Duke, and he was an impoverished landowner. It seemed impossible up to the very end. Thank God for her brother’s sacrifice. Intriguing plot!
I loved the characters and the setting. This story hit very close to home in many ways.
One kiss from a highwayman changes Miranda’s mind about kissing, but an untitled gentleman can’t change her mind about marriage. A gentleman uses any means necessary to keep the orphanage started by his family, even robbery. If Miranda can defy her parents, maybe love will be the answer. Very steamy once they get together.
Lady Miranda Sinclair, beautiful and headstrong, daughter of a duke, has ignored the rules once too often. Banished to the country as punishment for her latest scandal, she is deprived of everything except her work in the local orphanage with her cousin. On the way to her exile, her coach is held up by a highwayman. With no jewels or money with …
I found this book a joy to read. It had romance and heartache drama. I rooted for Fox and Miranda. Miranda needed Fox as much as Fox needed her. I voluntary reviewed this ARC after receiving a free gifted copy.

This book was interesting, but not engaging. For me, the hero and heroine were lacking in the ability to draw you in and keep you engaged.
Miranda Sinclair, is a spoiled, brat. Daughter of a Duke, she has known nothing but top of the ton all her life. She acts on impulse going places she knows she shouldn’t and doing things for adventure. She never stops to think what or who her actions may or may not hurt. Her reputation, or her family name. She mess’s up one time to many for her …
fun
Just Fabulous!
Imagine being held up by a Highwayman and then kissing him!!!! Well, if he was as delicious as this one seems to be then great! I mean, what are the chances of that happening? BUT! We can wish……. And imagine. Ok, so this is supposed to be a review of the book so let me get down to it.
There are two great main characters in …
