She was his savior
Banished from London for her reckless behavior, Lady Miranda Sinclair is robbed by a dashing highwayman en route to the country. By offering him a kiss in lieu of the jewels she had to leave behind, she commits the very type of act that caused her exile. When her dour guardians extend her punishment to performing charitable work at the local orphanage, she’s further tempted by … further tempted by the home’s owner, a provincial gentleman who stirs her passion in a most wicked way.
He was her downfall
Desperate to save his orphanage from financial catastrophe, Montgomery “Fox” Foxcroft leads a double life as a highwayman. The arrival of wealthy, well-connected Miranda, whose kiss he can’t forget, presents a lawful opportunity to increase his coffers. His problems seem solved — until she rejects his suit. Out of options and falling for the heiress, Fox must risk what principles he has left and take advantage of her wicked ways — even if it ruins them both.

failed to grab me within the first 3 chapters…didn’t bother to finish
Very descriptive sexual text without much of a story
This book was a page turner for me because I wanted to find out she adjusted to a small town with no money.
I loved this book. Darcy Burke is a wonderful writer. From being sent to the country because of something she did in London, to finding that helping other people is not such bad punishment and to be able to find love is also a wonderful thing. Even if the man she falls in love with a man that wasn’t titled or rich. I would recommend this book to …
I didn’t care for the fact that she was a snobby rich girl. Even though she changed, she rejected the marriage proposal way too many times!
Darcy Burke has written an interesting historical romance. She develops her characters well, physically and psychologically. Her plot has several ups and downs. The ending is satisfactory
I loved Miranda and Fox’s story. Can he save her from her “reckless behavior”? Can she help save his orphanage? They are perfect for each other, if they can just realize it! You won’t be disappointed by their story!
