Welcome to Ouroboros Academy, where your headmistress is a gorgon, your teacher is a sphinx, and your friends just might kill you… The last place I wanted to come was Ouroboros. Before awakening, I didn’t even know any of the myths were real. Minotaurs, griffins, the gods—the problem is, they aren’t the same myths everyone knows. My name is Mila, and I’m the new Medusa. Unfortunately, everyone … Medusa.
Unfortunately, everyone seems to hate Medusa, so everyone hates me. They mock and ridicule me, resort to middle school pranks to try to break me. But I won’t be broken, and I’m not going down without a fight.
When another student turns up dead, all eyes turn to me. I didn’t kill her. Someone is trying to set me up. If I can convince my mythical, handsomely wicked bullies that I’m not the killer, maybe we can find out who wants me to suffer so badly they’d frame me for murder.
Her Wicked Immortals is a slow-burn standalone RH, with multiple love interests and eventual steamy scenes.

Academy books has really been the hype lately and I thought I was over it but I guess not. I enjoyed it and look forward to see what happens next.
I wanted to throat punch Matt and Conor in the beginning but they kind of grew on me. And Gage is so sweet. I went from loving him to wanting to rip off his balls to love him again.
Mila was weak in the beginning. Like really weak. I wanted to slap her and tell her to grow a backbone. But as the story progressed she started to stand up for herself and in the end she took care of the problem without much help from others.
While I don’t particularly like bully romances there are a lucky few that I do read because I love the authors style. Candace has done a brilliant job with this one. This is about a new Medusa and she is not liked in general cause hello you know the history. Students turn up dead and they look her way. She however hasn’t done it and tries to convince others of this. She just wants love like everybody else. Will she succeed? Read and find out!
I adore Greek mythology my addiction for reading
started with Percy Jackson. If there was a high paying job that focuses in Greek mythology, any mythology, actually, I’d be on that like white on rice lol. So saying all this, I love this book, Medusa, is my favorite greek monster so much so that I’ve been planning for years to get a tattoo of her that’s how much l love Medusa.
There, are not a lot of books in this world with Medusa as a main character. Which makes this quite special. Like Medusa, the main character Mina was raped and turned into a creature everyone despises. So the plot is Mina, coming to terms with her rape and the creature she’s turned into. While also trying to survive the new environment and people she’s forced to endure.
In my experience, I think the best best books are the ones that invoke an emotion out of a reader. Victim blaming is one of the worst things a person can do to another person. So to say, I was quite angry at most of the characters and their treatment of her and her predecessor in this book is a understatement lol the one thing I did have a slight problem with was how she dealt with her rape. Because she didn’t deal with it! while you can say she had other things to focus on. I felt like her transformation at the end, wasn’t as much of an excitement as it could have been because it was brought forth due to a major character’s influence. Not saying I wanted her to remember the attack, I don’t think anyone should have those memories honestly, but I think she pushed all of that down and hasnt truly come to counts with what happened to her in regards to the rape which is what made her who she has become. But this could be me just being impatient. It could be brought up in the next book.
Overall, I know I loved it. I’m excited and ready for book 2
Ps Matt is my favorite period.
I absolutely loved Medusa being the main character. Think Greek gods meet college. Mila is Medusa reincarnated not only does she have to navigate that new fact add in the fact that she is stuck and can’t leave campus with people who hate medusa.
I really like the mystery that surrounded Connor in this story, even though he was a colossal a** most of the time. I still found myself rooting for him. Candace does a fantastic job of making you want to punch Connor, Matt and Chloe in the face. I was kinda iffy on the MC sometimes I liked her other times she was eh. I will say she put up with alot and came out on top. The book did have some slow parts for me. But I’m a sucker for a good God book and it had some twists I didn’t coming
I had a hard time at first getting into the story because the main character deals with so much hate in the beginning. At about the half way point I found myself drawn into the mystery and couldn’t put the book down. I hope this isn’t the last I read of Mila and her guys.
Not everything is as it seems!
This book is filled with mystery, secrets, suspense, and will most definitely play with your emotions. I absolutely loved how this booked developed bother in plot and characters, there were twist that you will not see coming. While there is a cliffhanger, it opens up the opportunity for a another book, but the problems and conflicts presented in this were also completely resolved. I received an advanced copy and am voluntarily leaving an unbiased, honest review.
