COULD HE BE THE SAVIOR THEY NEEDED?Navy SEAL Cullen Lyons was on a mission in the wilds of Africa, where all hell was breaking loose. There were riots and massacres, and he was stunned to find that in the middle of it all was one lone woman determined to make a difference. A smart and beautiful woman who made his heart beat faster and made him think about forever. Dr. Carys Adams, knew it was … Carys Adams, knew it was going to take a miracle to save the newborn baby and keep the young mother alive. How was she going to get this little family transported to the hospital three days away? She had never met a man like Cullen Lyons, every instinct told her that she could trust him, that she had finally found someone she could lean on, but what if she was wrong? Was he really the hero he seemed to be?
Now it was Cullen’s job to evade the brutal rebel forces who had targeted Carys and the young family and get them to safety. Convincing her the only way to safety was a dangerous journey through the hazards of Africa was the first step. Making sure the little family didn’t die during the difficult journey, was the second. The third step was persuading Carys that they just might have a future together. Could he do it?

Chocked full of so much action and all the emotions you can imagine. I loved it all, and sunk right into it at the very first “Oh, for Pete’s sake”. Like coming home when I read this.
The bits of humor, snark and comradery between the characters would just pop up and I would find myself snort laughing anytime, anywhere.
Cullen was to die for, so strong, and Carys was just as strong and capable when she needed to be. Sometimes you meet your limits, you have to make a decision to move forward or fall back, and there are some pretty intense situations throughout.
The true romancing, when they finally get time for themselves, is worth the wait and gave me that deep, sighworthy HEA, that I need.
A stand alone for sure, but there are some much loved, returning characters I was truly happy see again! Total goodness right here.
Another great book in this series. I was lucky to have a day off from work so I settled in and was glued from beginning to end. Just when you think it’s coming to closure something else happens making sure you can’t put it down.
We have some characters from other series making an appearance as well as mention of this doctor’s past history from another book. It will still make sense if you haven’t read them but you know you’ll want to.
Action packed adventure, heart warming moments and some tears, it had all the feels. Great characters too. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
Caitlyn did a wonderful job writing this story. It has all the action, danger, heartbreak and love. Carys is a Doctors of Borders doctor and has been to a lot of places. The last place she was at still gives her nightmares. Being in Africa isn’t any better. She meets Cullen when he and his team come to her rescue. Better have tissues ready, this is a heartbreaker. HEA.
Strap in for Carys and Cullen’s love story. It’s a swoony, exciting, scary, danger filled and beautiful roller coaster of a ride. The danger and excitement starts almost immediately and the continual ratcheting up of the danger and inevitable conclusion is delicious perfection. Cullen is a member of a SEAL team sent to Sudan to assist with recent unrest. Carys is a surgeon who agreed to come to Sudan with a team at the request of the newly installed prime minister. But when civil unrest and violence break out into the streets Carys needs Cullen’s help to save her, her patient, and a newborn. Carys and Cullen’s love story has all the feels – fear, redemption, tears, chuckles, gasps, swooning, and so much all encompassing, nurturing, protective love. The journey to Carys and Cullen’s HEA is a beautifully paced, exciting military romance and the book has a little bit of everything – sweet moments, sexy times, dangerous heart stopping action, painful pasts, strong friendships, and even some chuckles.
Cullen and Carys’ story is intense, dangerous, and kept me on the edge of my seat with fear for them and the family they were helping. The writing drew me in and kept ahold of me. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Her Tempting Protector is a magnificent romantic suspense by Caitlyn O’Leary. Ms. O’Leary has provided readers with a well-written book filled with a spectacular cast of characters. I totally love these characters! Carys left Doctors Without Borders but after a call from the Prime Minister of Sudan at the request of one of her med school friends, she ends up in Khartoum in the middle of a conflict. Cullen is a Navy SEAL assigned to get Carys back to the city and on a plane out of the country. Carys and Cullen’s story is loaded with drama, humor, spice, action and suspense. I loved every page of this book and look forward to my next book by Caitlyn O’Leary. Her Tempting Protector is book 2 of the Night Storm Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
Heart warming story of compassionate love in heart breaking human misery!
One of my favorite authors!
There’s so much angst in the world and this story reminds me there is lots of good.
You get a real feel for the craziness that goes on around the world. And how perilous situations can turn into in a short amount of time. Carys was trying to help as a doctor without border physician in Africa. While what should have been a stable area turned over in upheaval after a recent revolution. Cullen is a SEAL who was sent into evacuate Americans. He is immediately taken with the brilliant and brave doctor. They were adorable together in how they worked and ebbed and flowed with than changing issues they faced. I love the book but towards the end was getting annoyed with carys and her broken Whitney manner. I understand she has been through a lot but she wanted to take things slow. Then jumps him. Doesn’t trust him and what he offers but wants him to ask her to stay. Make a decision. Lol.
I loved Cullen in book one and knew that his story would be just as good. He falls hard for Doctor Carys and does everything he can to help her and keep her patients safe. The brotherhood of this Seal team is still going strong as they fight their way out of situation after situation. It is very military detail oriented as the first was and it kept on the edge during certain moments, I just wished I could connect with the characters more.

Fantastic romantic suspense…
I got that ‘woohoo’ feeling when this story hit my kindle and it stayed! There was a lot to enjoy in this second outing – a high-adrenaline, danger-filled read that brought Carys and Cullen together…
Danger, suspense, action – it was all here as Carys battled for survival for her and those she protected. His team was there to assist and Cullen was front and centre, keeping her safe. And sane… Carys was a wonderful heroine – focused when she needed to be with vulnerabilities that made her achingly human. Cullen was military-ready with a squishy heart for Carys, who was strong under fire with empathy and courage he fell hard for…
This was military romance at its finest as the team, everyone, fought to stay alive under horrendous conditions. I have a soft spot for the ‘protector’ trope, I admit. Who wouldn’t want to be strong and independent yet have someone equally strong and supportive at their back? *swoon* Be prepared for the butterflies as this was a fast-paced path to love…

Cullen and Carys’ story is full of action and that slow-burn seduction that builds as they’re evading trouble and danger. I loved Carys’ selflessness and her passion as a doctor. Cullen’s commanding presence was sexy, and even as they’re surrounded by bullets flying, I’m biting my nails, wondering how they will escape this next fracas!
With Caitlyn O’Leary, you know you’re going to get memorable characters who are easy to love, and Cullen and Carys deliver. Carys is a doctor volunteering with a group of Sudanese doctors (think Doctors Without Borders) when her life is endangered as she cars for a new mom and her children as rebel fighters draw closer. Cullen is determined to save everyone as he falls for Carys. Full of action and suspense, this one will keep you up late reading to the end.
This one kept me on the edge of my seat. The narrators were great! Dr. Carys Adams is hoping this latest assignment with Doctors Without Borders will not go sideways but then she is sent off to attend to a pregnant woman and when she arrives she finds a woman struggling to give birth and children who have been abused. Emergency surgery and arrival of a team of Seals and all may not be lost. US Navy Seal Cullen Lyons is captivated by Dr. Adams and after sending the rest of the team off with the kids he stays back with Dr. Adams, the new mother and newborn. Then with danger descending, they start the trek across Africa in a truck. Will close quarters and danger cement the chemistry brewing or when they are stateside find those feelings cool? This one was really good and these big tough Seals fall hard!
Carys is one heck of a doctor and she’s been through so much. Cullen is a SEAL on a mission to help get American’s to safety. These two are thrown together and are working to save a mother and her newborn child.
This one pull you in right away and shows you a different side of being a SEAL. I loved Carys and her strength and ability to stay calm when necessary.
Cullen and his team end up in an African country to rescue some Americans. Dr. Carys Adams is the selfless doctor who doesn’t consider her own well being when treating her patients. She’s got a brand new mother and infant to take care of and Cullen must get her to safety while using his skills. It’s no mean feat. The connection is instant for Cullen and Carys is trying to figure it all out while trying to keep the mother and son alive. The story is intense, filled with awesome action and wonderful wit.
She’s got a way with animals, and the ones at the end of the story are wonderful, they scare his brothers! I love the banter between the team and it’s wonderful to see the connection between all of them. Ms. O’Leary is a once click author for me and I highly recommend any of her books and series, you won’t be disappointed.
Tempting Protector is the second book of the Night Storm Series, a great military romance. This is my favorite in the Series. This story is suspenseful, action packed, and emotional. Carys and Cullen are both great and beautiful characters. Carys, a doctor, is resourceful, determined, and strong. Cullen, a navy SEAL, is handsome, protective, and supportive. The rescue is suspenseful and heart pounding. The supporting characters are great and intriguing. Ryan West, and Kirsten Leigh did an amazing job with the narration. Their voices suit the characters perfectly. I love their voices together. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to more books written by Caitlyn O’Leary.

Her Tempting Protector was a great book in the Night Storm series by Caitlyn O’Leary.
Our badass with the huge heart, Cullen fell hard for the lovely Doctor Adams while dodging bullets and struggling to keep her patients alive and out of the hands of the enemy. Carys Adams is as selfless and courageous as they come but Cullen can see the toll her time as a surgeon with Doctor without Borders has taken on her. Losing teammates, surviving near death experiences and having to patch up one patient while two more fall has left her brittle but thankfully not bitter. As they struggle with getting out of the country without dying, Cullen reminds her how to feel alive.
This is a beautifully heartbreaking story of the sacrifices of our military and those that answer the call to serve. My heart just broke for all Carys had endured. I fell just as hard as she did for the gentle, funny, adoring Cullen. His lightness was perfect for her seriousness and when he turned intense and protective, hot damn. Beautifully crafted story and fantastic characters!

I squeeze this author’s books in whenever I can and at this moment we seem to have a bit of time. Navy Seal books are a weakness with them having to have a story though. This author provides both. Cullen and Carys provide us with one fast pace drama filled adventure that comes with chemistry. Having to follow them through it all you need to know who will survive. The thrill you will get from this if you transport yourself into this will get the blood flowing and when the last page is turned you look for the next one.
