It wasn’t shy librarian Lola McBride’s idea to crash someone else’s high school reunion. Her best friend made her do it, insisting that having a little fun with a super-hot rebound would make her forget about her recent breakup. That’s when she meets the hottest guy she’s ever seen. Architect Luke Erickson had no idea attending his ten-year reunion would turn out to be so fun. He catches the … catches the sexy brunette in a lie, and he counters with a proposal–He’ll keep her secret if she helps get his family off his back by pretending to be his girlfriend at an upcoming family reunion. From one reunion to another, Lola and Luke are suddenly spending a lot of time together.
Luke may be most likely to avoid relationships at all costs and Lola may be most likely to desire a husband, kids, and white picket fence. Good thing they’re only pretending, or this super-secret relationship could get really complicated.

This book was super cute!! Crashing a reunion and following it up with a fake relationship??? Yes, please!!
I wasn’t expecting the angst in this story since I thought it was going to be a lighthearted, happy read but the little bit of angst thrown in kept this book from being too sugary sweet. Lola and Luke completely captured my heart.
I was trying to find if this book is part of series and couldn’t find it but I sure do hope so! The triplets NEED books of their own… And Frankie. And basically all of the characters 🙂
This book was such a sweet, cute and funny read. I highly enjoyed it. Its a fake to real romance, meaning, they start off pretending to be boyfriend/girlfriend and it turns real.
The story starts with Lola and her best friend Frankie hanging out eating ice cream and talking after Lola had recently been broken up with. Frankie, being a wild soul, comes up with the idea to crash a high school reunion going on close by. After much persuasion, they do so. Lola and Luke meet and it doesn’t take Luke very long to realize that Lola is not who she says she is. He ‘blackmails’ her into being his fake girlfriend for his upcoming family reunion the following weekend in exchange for not telling anyone she crashed the party. (not that he would). She finally agrees. They hang out that week to get to know each other in preparation for the reunion and the attraction and chemistry between them grows stronger and stronger.
It’s cute. It’s funny. I was laughing out loud most of it. I highly enjoyed the banter and highly recommend to anyone looking for a quick, easy and light rom-com.
Looking for a way to lighten the mood. Kerri Carpenter always delivers. Who needs to look for love, if it’s destined to find you? Lola and Luke begin as a fluke and work their way up to forever. With multiple mishaps along the way. Her Super – Secret Rebound Boyfriend is the perfect cure to heal a broken heart. Chaos, laughter and happily ever after.
Super Cute.
A fake relationship grows into the real thing but will Luke let his fear of emulating his father destroy his future happiness? Loved this story and the characters, both major and minor. Had some laugh out loud moments.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
What a fun read!! Her Super-Secret Rebound Boyfriend is such a cute, and charming story!
Lola McBride is a librarian whose a little more straight laced than her best friend and room mate, Frankie. After going through a particularly hard break-up, Frankie comes up with the idea of crashing a high school reunion. She’s seen it on The Golden Girls-her fav, and it works in getting her friend out a slump-so why not them! Lola meets the hottest guy she’s ever seen while she is there, and unfortunately the name she chose to impersonate, formerly dated said hot guy!
The gig is up! Luke thinks it’s funny to crash a reunion of a school you never even attended! He plans on having a little fun with Lola. He proposes that in exchange to keep her secret, she help him get his family off his back by attending his family reunion as his girlfriend. He has three sisters that are dying to get him hooked up, so they are a little skeptical that Luke conveniently shows up with a new girlfriend. But they all like her, and invite her to another family function.
Luke and Lola feel they need to get to know each other better to pull of this pretend relationship. As they spend a lot of time together, the lines between pretend and real blur. Things just got a whole lot more complicated!
This was a refreshing and enjoyable read! I liked Lola and Luke from the beginning and they really seemed to click! You could feel their chemistry-even if they tried so hard to deny it! Frankie was a treat! She was a real best friend to Lola and she was so lucky to have her in her life!
I highly recommend you grab this book today!
I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review. Lola is just coming out of a bad break up that shattered her self confidence. Her best friend Frankie, who gets all her life wisdom from the Golden Girls, talks her into crashing a class reunion. Frankie assures her the class was big enough no one will even notice them. Lola crashes into Luke instead. He realizes after talking to her that she isn’t who she claims. Lola is worried about getting in trouble so agrees to go to Luke’s family reunion as his fake girlfriend in exchange for his silence. Having no family of her own Lola quickly falls in love with Luke’s. One date and done is all it is supposed to be, but they have to spend the week before getting to know each other.
This is a fun, easy read. You know from the beginning you will get your happily ever after and enjoy watching Luke and Lola figure it out. I liked Frankie and that she isn’t afraid to push Lola a little bit to help her find happy. Luke’s sister are great and would be fun to read their stories. If you are looking for a nice, light and happy read I recommend Her Super Secret Rebound Boyfriend.
Lola has been dumped by her boyfriend. Lola’s roommate Frankie feels that all of life’s problems can be solved by gleaning the wisdom from The GoldenGirls. Frankie suggests that Lola can her over her ex by going to a random high school reunion ala Blanche, Dorothy and Rose. They go to the reunion, where Lola meets Luke. Luke is a afraid of commitment due to abandonment issues. He convinces Lola to pretend to be his girlfriend at his family reunion to get his mother and sisters off his back. Classic set up for love. As a fan of The Golden Girls, I enjoyed how they integrated lessons from the show to Lola’s life. The characters were sweet, I enjoyed the secondary characters as well. What kept this from being a five star review was the plot was a little thin, and the romance seemed a bit rushed. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is my first book from this author and i really liked it. It was a cute story about Lola, a reunion crasher who does this to get over a breakup. While she is there, Luke sees her and calls her on the fact that she does not belong there. So instead of ratting her out, he asks if she will go to his family reunion . Will their fake relationship actually be able to grow into something real? This is a quick read that will leave you laughing and a little hot by the time you are finished with it.
I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
