Loved the entire series.
Loved this whole series!
The royal spyness series is my favorite of Rhys Bowen.
‘Georgie, aka Lady Victoria Georgiana Charlotte Eugenie, cousin of King George V of England, is penniless and trying to survive on her own as an ordinary person in London in 1932.
So far she has managed to light a fire and boil an egg… She’s gate-crashed a wedding… She’s making money by secretly cleaning houses… And she’s been asked to spy …
great escape reading!
I love this series
I realize this book, Her Royal Spyness, has been around for a while. I happened upon it in the pile of books my wife read. I must say, It was thoroughly enjoyable! Ms. Bowen has a wonderful sense of humor that kept me laughing throughout the reading. It took halfway through the book before someone was murdered. But I didn’t mind. The diverse …
I enjoyed this book! I thought that the characters were fun and the time period was great for this type of mystery. I liked that the main character is distant royalty, it was interesting to read about the struggles that would come with that. I thought she was extremely smart! The mystery was well done as well. I went back and forth between …
Cared about the characters….good strong story line…..have continued to read the series
How can you not like the heroine? 36th in line for the British throne, single and trying to make her way with no job and limited skills. Either the queen is using her to spy or her family is trying to marry her off to any available nobleman.
Read the entire series, plus
While it was relatively clear “whodunnit”, she made the characters interesting (although some were perhaps a bit one-dimensional). Bowen kept my interest and made me want to read the next adventure of her heroine.
I absolutely love this series! This first book introduces us to the major players and is so good.
Total entertainment. Love this series.
This series is a great choice for mystery readers interested in 1930’s England. Georgie seems to attract murderous activity related to the British Royal Family. As Georgie searches for love and happiness, the interaction with Wallis Simpson over the term of the series is a humorous theme and the interaction with other historical figures provides …
I really enjoyed this book and look forward to other books in the series!
Well written
