What an emotional captivating read, that will have you all over the place.
Piper has been dealt a bad hand of a mother as the more you read about her you just wonder how a mother can be that cold and selfish, lucky for Piper Amelia shows her the kind of love and care that she is craving and when Cole’s strides back into his daughter’s life with demons hot on his heels, Amelia is the right person to help them.
I loved it

Another great read from Suzanne Hart!
This is another fantastic romance by Suzanne Hart. Once again we have a pleasure to join the virgin heroine in her romantic story. This time we get a lot of angst, heartbreak, conflicted emotions and actions that made both hero and heroine confused. Hot, steamy scenes that will make you blush. Chemistry between Amelia and Cole is of the charts and something that made me want to turn the pages and check what will happen next in their lives. And there is a lot of going on. Amelia has a very sick mom, overprotective sister, ex-boyfriend with abusive and stalking tendencies. Cole needs to deal with the mess he made when he left town five years ago, needs to take care of his daughter and her mother who has gambling addiction. And when finally things seams to be in place and leads them to their happily ever after one event is turning Amelia’s world upside down.
Cole is suffering from PTSD, due to serving his country & injuries he suffered from while serving. He is left to raise his daughter, Piper, on his own. Amelia is Piper’s teacher and is concerned for her well being. Cole and Amelia are drawn to each other. Great story.

An AMAZING, heartwarming, yet steamy tale about the REDEEMING quality of LOVE!
“HER ROUGH HERO” is a story straight from the heart of author Suzanne Hart. Her characters are rich and realistic, and while they felt lust-at-first-sight, it was their mutual admiration, effort to do right and improve the life of one child that had me falling in love with Amelia and Cole and desperately rooting for their happily ever after. The plot was compelling, full of the stuff that makes life worth living and makes life a frustrating series of choices, some surprisingly good, and others just frustratingly frustrating. Bottom line, life never promised easy, but the love and acceptance between Cole and Amelia make life feel easy and their family makes life worthwhile. That is not to suggest there are no speed bumps or sharp turns taken, it is an indication that this story mirrors life in a pretty realistic manner yet is so well written readers will be completely entertained and taken away from their own lives during its course to that promised HEA! I voluntarily read an ARC copy of “HER ROUGH HERO” and this is my honest 5-STAR review. “HER ROUGH HERO” is well worth a reader’s time and money, and I STRONGLY suggest readers get their copy of Suzanne Hart’s latest novel “HER ROUGH HERO” today! Happy pages!
Her Rough Hero by Suzanne Hart
Cole left five years ago thinking it was the best thing for his two-week-old daughter. He joined the armed service but was lead to believe he killed a little boy. Now he feels broken. His daughter Piper now five years old was enrolled in daycare where Amelia worked. There is an attraction between Cole and Amelia. This is a heartfelt love story. I had a hard time putting this book down. I kept rooting for this couple. I did a lot of crying through this story but it does have a happy ending. Cole is an ex-marine come home to see his daughter since he left to join the service. Amelia is a daycare worker that is drawn to little Piper and wants to protect her. One day when Piper isn’t in daycare Amelia gets worried and goes to her home to check in on her. Cole is suspicious of Amelia when he first meets her but then he realized his daughter named the toy unicorn he got her after Amelia. Things were rocky between Cole and Amelia at first but when he saw how much it pleased Piper to see her he made an effort to stay in touch. When Cole learns that Amelia’s ex is stalking her he steps in to offer some help. Everything started working smoothly between the three of them and then Piper’s mother returned home. Will Cole stay with Amelia and raise Piper? Will Amelia’s ex leave her alone?
This is an amazing story once I started it I couldn’t put it down. The chemistry between Cole and Amelia is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Military cover-up…surprise…not! Anyway, Cole and Amelia made a cute couple…and Piper was adorable. Mature without being a genius solving the world’s problems!
Not a quick read (lengthwise), but definitely worth reading!
