Great story, can’t wait to read the next one!
Excellent read!!!!
Book had some good things, disliked the ending. Read the start of the next book at the end and it actually was a better ending.
Good book with a fast-paced plot and love story. An easy and quick read. Although the book ends with a conclusion to the love story it leaves other characters and a major plot point in a cliff-hanger for the next book. The love story also seems to resolve quickly and unrealistically.
The villain and his cohorts are despicable. The torment of the heroine is overdone. The hero broods. I skimmed a lot of the dialogue, couldn’t care less about what they were thinking or had to say. And the ending is over the top, with a really hard to digest cliffhanger. But hey, our hero believes in happily ever after, and if you buy the second book I guess you will also.
Decent bodice-ripper, tragic beginning, nice resolution
The author provides a page of history pertaining to the Irish as indentured servants, and their hardships. It definitely adds to the story to know a bit more about this information. The story is exactly what you’d hope for in a pirate book: larger than life, big personalities, and epic drama! Oh, how easy it was to detest the villain and cheer for the hero! And, like every good romance, a happy ending.
