Kate must untangle the threads of her life ….. she needs to know who she was …. she needs to solve the mystery of the car accident. The more she uncovers, the more questions she has and she finds that there are deep dark secrets she must root out.
This is a well written psychological drama full of twists and turns and secrets and lies. Not everyone is who or what they show on the outside. The characters are finely drawn and lend credibility to the story.

This is certainly worth your time! Many twists and turns that will have you changing your mind over and over about who is telling the truth and who is the “good” guys. I enjoyed it very much and will continue to search for more books by Ms. Newton.
Loved this book
How would you feel if you woke up with no memory and unsure of who you could trust. When things don’t quite add up and family and friends aren’t all they seem to be. Perfect lies is an enjoyable, mysterious and intriguing read. Not too complicated but keeps you interested enough to wonder with friends like that who needs enemies. Lana Newton is a new author to me and her style and flow of the book were good. An enjoyable read I would recommend.
Her Perfect Lies by Lana Newton is a marvellous contemporary psychological thriller that draws the reader into a dark world of truth and lies, reality and illusions. Everyone appears plausible but some manipulate the truth for their own ends.
The lead character has suppressed memories. She searches to rebuild her past, to separate the dreams from the nightmares. Everywhere she turns, people tell her contradicting tales of her past. “Everyone’s truth was different.” Who can be trusted? Whose face is it that looms in her nightmares?
Finding a diary and old photos from childhood may bring answers or just more questions as the search for the truth continues.
Monsters lurk in a mind. Demons torment. Whose is the voice whispering in the ear? Are monsters born? Or does society shape them? Are we destined to repeat the sins of our fathers? These are all questions that arose as I read with heart racing.
There is love too. A love that consumes and a love that twists reality. There is a love that is lost. And a love that does the right thing.
Her Perfect Lies was a nail biting read. It threw up many questions along the way. I continually wondered where the truth lay and who could be trusted. It was all very cleverly done as I was lured in from the start and followed all the red herrings until the final reveal. An absolutely excellent read.
I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.
Thank you Net Gallery for providing a free digital ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
Her Perfect Lies is a fast paced “Psychological” Thriller. While it was not a bad read, I would rate it as average. None of the BIG twists were that surprising. I had it figured out about 60% of the way through. The ending felt slightly rushed and more from a romance novel then a thriller, which ends up making sense if you read the Afterward by the author.
Overall, not too bad a read.
Claire Wright was injured in the same car accident that left her father in a coma. She knows what everyone is telling her, that she is a famous ballerina, she is beautiful, she is married to Paul, but she knows none of this as she is suffering from amnesia. Everything is a blank and when she looks in to the mirror, she only sees a stranger. She needs answers to her past, but who can help her…her husband, her friend Gaby, or her mother, Angela? But where is Angela and why hasn’t she arrived at the hospital? So many questions and no answers. When her father wakes, will he have answers for her or will she be even more confused? An intriguing amnesia story with a slightly gothic mood. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)
