Jack was swoony and this story is all about giving love a second chance.
My first thought when I started reading this one was, “What? Jack and Tauni didn’t get married after Her Navy Seal Cowboy First Love!” That was crazy to me, because they were perfect for each other.
This one starts with Jack and Tauni at Jack’s brother’s wedding. I love how close the Summerville family is. They work hard together and they play hard together. Jack doesn’t spend much time with his family, because he’s a Navy Seal. That was a big concern Tauni had. I do like Jack’s dedication. And he’s really persistent. That’s how he and Tauni end up taking their “honeymoon” trip after he finishes one of his missions.
I like Tauni. It was really interesting to get to read this one and see what she had been through after their almost wedding. Tauni had changed a lot. And she needed to learn to trust again. Not just Jack, but that things could work out and be happy again.
I loved all the twists and turns, on again off again, of this one. Jack and Tauni needed to learn and grow a little more together. I really enjoyed everything about this one. It was almost as good as the trip to San Diego we missed.
This book by Taylor Hart is the sequel to Her Navy Seal Cowboy: First Love which was about Tauni and Jack, both high school seniors. It takes the reader through the first introduction of these wonderful characters, their families, their hopes and dreams. My heart wept through the ending when tragedy strikes.
My soul needed this second book, Her Navy Seal Cowboy: Second Chance, to fulfill Tauni and Jack’s happily ever after. Six years have passed and these characters meet again at a wedding. Both have changed and matured. Jack has become a Navy SEAL and Tauni has pursued her education at Harvard and then Oxford. Neither has resolved their past issues but rather, each dealt with that highly emotional time as high school seniors in different ways.
I liked this sequel because the author reintroduced the characters, revealing from both view points the events from high school and the decisions made. Love is often messy and painful, as brought out in this book. Tauni and Jack must resolve serious issues before the HEA ending can become theirs. This book “felt real” to me; the emotions, insecurities and the much needed forgiveness for both Tauni and Jack. Kudos to Taylor Hart for a wonderfully, emotional read with a very satisfying ending to Jack and Tauni’s love story.
I had an Advance Readers Copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. This second book in Taylor Hart’s series is just a good as the first one. The plot is interesting and the emotions shown are real. The forgiveness theme and second chance at love for the two main characters added much to the book.
IN Her Navy Seal Cowboy Second Chance, we again meet Tauni and Jack – six years after high school. They are more mature and have faced several hardships each. Their chemistry is still off the charts! I am delighted to get a chance to see their second act. This book works as a standalone but you will enjoy it that much more if you have read Her Navy Seal Cowboy First Love. This second chance had me laughing, crying and ignoring everything I was supposed to do. I could not put it down! I had to find out if they finally get their HEA. Taylor Hart’s books never disappoint me. This one is exceptional! Don’t miss it.
I’ve been looking forward to Jack and Tauni’s next book. The first book ended and I really wanted to see what happened to them! As expected, they didn’t get married in the first book and they were so in love but I wanted to find out why and what the circumstances were and where they’ve been! This book open with them meeting again a few years later at Jack’s brother’s wedding. They haven’t seen each other in all that time and of course, things are very tense. Through the book, you slowly see what happened back from the end of the first book. It was very emotional. Jack left Tauni when she needed him most and became a Navy SEAL. She went to Harvard, graduated, went to London to Oxford for grad school and is now back at Harvard again. Jack convinces her to come to San Diego with him for a couple days which is where their “honeymoon” was supposed to be way back when. They finally are going to have the “closure” on their relationship and move on. It’s a wonderful story that’s emotional, raw in places as they confront their past, and yet fun in other places as they try to “vacation”! I really loved how the characters have matured and grown. Very enjoyable!
Loved this sweet emotional sad sorry with Jack and Tauni who fell in love in high school only to part ways when she finds out she is pregnant and loses the baby. He goes into the Navy leaving her to deal with her heartbreak alone which she never forgave him for. They meet again years later at his sister’s wedding where they reconnect and he ask her to go to San Diego which was to be their honeymoon destination so she meets him there where they can finally find closure and she can move on with her life with her friend Alex. This is a well written look into young love and the heartbreak that sometimes comes from that love and in the end finding your happy ever. I loved Jack and Tauni from the start and happy he never gave up on her.
Loved Jack and Tauni’s story. They both had a lot of emotional growing up to do. They needed to reconcile their feelings and their past. Wonderful storyline and well written characters. I highly recommend this book.
I received a free copy of this book and this is my voluntary, honest review.
I was excited for the second half of Jack and Tauni’s story and I was not disappointed. It had all the feels you expect from Taylor’s books.
Jack is thrown back together with Tauni at his brother’s wedding. When he sees her, all of his good intentions fly out the window. All he wants is another chance. Too bad he’s blown it so bad that will never happen. I love how Jack’s character has grown, yet there’s still a bit of the cockiness he had as a youth, after all he’s a SEAL now. But it’s tempered with regret, maturity, and self-sacrifice.
Tauni has moved on with her life. There’s another man in the picture, and a whole lot of hurt from Jack’s abandonment years ago. She’s not sure she wants to give him another chance. The question is, will Jack let her go?
This book is full of all the feels I expect from Taylor’s stories and I recommend this one for all you lovers of second chances.
