A feast she wasn’t expecting Clover Greene would sooner crawl into her oven than host family for Thanksgiving dinner. Yet another annual ritual of too much food, served with a side of criticism over “Clover’s Bad Life Choices.” This year, she needs to distract them all–with a handsome fake boyfriend. And she has the perfect guy in mind. Contractor Erick Fields is the poster boy for sexy single … boy for sexy single dads, and Clover has been secretly crushing on him for ages. She certainly wasn’t expecting Erick to agree to her insane charade…or to add lots of hot, wicked sex to the deal. If they can pull it off, the worst Thanksgiving ever might give them something to be really thankful for

Her Naughty Holiday is the second installment in Tiffany Reisz’s adult romance series titled Men at Work. Like with the first book, this story is very contemporary and does not push the envelope in ways that Ms. Reisz’s fans are accustomed to. But that’s OK. Ms. Reisz is showing her readers that Plain-Jane can be sexy as hell.
Her Naughty Holiday is a pretend-to-be-my-boyfriend plot which is one of my favorites in the romance genre. One way Ms. Reisz put her spin on this familiar theme was by creating characters who care so much about the credibility of their fake relationship – they want to ensure it is so believable that they have to work on their chemistry right away. And by chemistry, I mean…
Yeah.
Overall, I found this book likable and fun. Certain elements were kind of cheesy but I enjoyed how the family dynamics written into this story influenced the characters in both good ways and bad. This element added a surprising complexity that I didn’t expect. If you enjoy brief contemporary romances that are heavy on the adult component, then check out this series.
My favorite quote:
“Your shampoo smells good,” he said. “Lemons?”
“That’s not my hair, that’s my office,” she said pointing up at the tree. “But you smell good.”
“That’s hard to believe.”
“You smell like sweat and cedar, it’s nice.”
“We’re like a couple of dogs sniffing each other,” he said. “If this continues, my nose is going to end up in your crotch.”
This was the second Harlequin Brazen category romance that I’ve read. The other one is this author’s first book in the Men at Work series. What attracted me to these specific books was my previous experience with the author. No, not her erotica, but her women’s fiction-y, time travel/fantasy novel that I enjoyed a few years back – The Night Mark. I like the author’s writing style and figure that these fast and flirty books would be a fun switch from all of the historical and contemporary dramas I’ve been reading.
The first book in this series was just okay, but this story was fun from the start with its rapid banter between an underappreciated heroine, a sexy single dad, and his 17-year-old spitfire of a rebel daughter. I giggled so many times in the first few chapters and loved these characters right away.
I was aware that these books were meant to be quick, sexy reads. With that in mind, I went into this one knowing sexy times would be abundant. I can honestly say that it’s those scenes that prevented it from being 5 stars for me. There were just too many and they became redundant. Surprisingly, I did enjoy the swift build-up of the relationship, as well as their dialogue, and even some of their intimate times. Although, I would have preferred more of their verbal interactions as a couple away from the bedroom since their banter created some of the best scenes. Overall, this was a fun read with some great humor and equally fun characters. The Thanksgiving family shakedown was epic. If I was certain that all Entangled Brazen were like this, I wouldn’t hesitate to read more of them.
Also, this was an audio listen and the narrator was wonderful.
Fantastic book! Had heard good things, but it surpassed my expectations.
Erick and Clover are delightful! Their silly jokes and heartfelt conversations feel so natural, which make the characters so real. Love the emphasis on consent — without losing any of the sexiness — and the effort each of them puts into the other’s pleasure. They are a great example of a healthy and supportive relationship.
The story’s conflict has to do with the way Clover’s family treats her/talks to her. Watching them get their comeuppance is *very* satisfying and it’s still done in a way that allows the relationships to be repaired.
I love Tiffany’s writing. I loved the characters so much. The romance was very sexy and realistic. I’ll be reading the two other books in this series soon.
A sweet story about Clover who bring her fake boyfriend Erick who is a single dad to Clover’s employee Ruthie to her family thanksgiving because she is done with her family giving her shit about being single, no children and drop out even though she’s a successful business owner. Ruthie thinks the two should hook up and finds a way to do it sneakily.
I loved these two together they have a mutual attraction to each very flirtatious, their cheeky banter they are made for each. They spend time together before the family dinner and pretty much fuck the whole week making it a very naughty holiday.
