Mallory is back at home after her friend’s wedding. She leaves the bar by herself and ends up being harrassed by three guys. Her high school crush, Chris saves her from being attacked by the strangers. Chris is in the military and has always had a thing for Mallory. He was nerdy in high school but Mallory liked him anyway. A short, sexy, story that I enjoyed reading.
Boring only got 3 chapters and no more
This is a great quick read romance reuniting two friends from high school. Chris and Mallory secretly crushed on each other back then but neither knew it. They are making up for lost time in this sexy little story. Amelia Wilde is a great writer and I enjoyed this story very much.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This quicky, bite-sized read was had just enough intense build up to feel like I got a full story. From a little action, to intense passion, Amelia gave me all the goods!
Chris is the nerd turned veteran hunk, who has never forgotten Mallory no matter where life has taken him, but he has no idea that his geekiness won over Mallory long ago. Now when both head home for the 4th of July, the chemistry will explode into something that would rival the fireworks display going on around them.
I loved it, and again with a small nod to my beloved Wounded Heart series, I couldn’t get enough. Can’t wait to see what comes next!
I loved these quicks reads that can be read as a stand-a-lone. For me having read the other books from Amelia I get more of the characters I have grown to love. Mallory is home for the fourth after her best friend’s most romantic wedding. Read Kiss the Bride for that fantastic story. Feeling blue for herself she leaves the bar and her friends only to be cornered in an alley. Coming to her rescue is her high crush crush who’s all man and muscle and also happens to be home for the holiday. This Fourth of July celebration has more fireworks than in the sky! A happy 4th it is!!!
This was a great short story. Mallory is home for thr Fourth Of July. While out she finds herself in trouble. Then Chris comes along to save the night. Comes to find out that they both liked each other in high school. Now they got a second chance.
Finally get your high school crush…………….and he is all man now!!!
Well he is definitely Her Massive Missile in more than one way!!!!
Mallory is back home in Milltown for the annual July 4th celebration and fireworks show. Since after college this has been an annual visit and get together with her 2 best friends Sophie, who she grew up with and Emily, their college friend. Mallory is feeling lonely as Sophie is now married to Ash, her high school crush, after a more than whirlwind sweeping off the feet episode, and Emily is staring at a cowboy across the Stars and Stripes bar. All this while Mallory is being stepped on and used as an arm rest without even being noticed. She walks home alone while the fireworks are going off and ends up in a “situation” with 3 over large men walking out of a dark alley. But Chris comes to her rescue as he was also walking home from the bar after leaving a few minutes after her. Let’s just say that this is the first “missile” of the night.
Chris takes Mallory back to his uncles house as she is in shock. Mallory sort of recognizes Chris but not completely as he has definitely changed. He is no longer tall and gangly instead he is now tall and built with a whole lot of muscle, which Mallory really admires. Plus he has a definitely attitude change from when they were in high school together. After being in the Army he now acts and talks with confidence. What happens next is a fun night filled with all sorts of naughty missiles. But in the morning Mallory slips out without waking Chris as she is afraid of being rejected since they both shared that they were each other crushes during high school and basically still do. But Chris won’t let her get away that easily and being the man he now is he hunts her down before she can leave.
Amelia Wilde has written two characters who are so fun, witty, quirky, lovable, angst ridden and just plain believable and relatable that you want Mallory as a friend and Chris as your boyfriend. Her Massive Missile is another wonderful visit to Milltown and their July 4th Celebration along with the Roxy, who is always hilarious, and the Stars & Stripes Bar.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
What a fun fast paced second chance who would think, Mallory and our hero Chris meeting again on certain circumstances both changed but feelings still there and oh boy they are hot together no more shyness confident in every way and I loved everything about it.
Second chance
Such a sweet, steamy read. Mallory is back in Milltown for the 4th. She’s feeling alone with her friends finding love or hooking up. Walking to her parents house she finds herself in trouble and is saved by Chris. Chris, the guy she crushed on hard in high school. Chris crushed on her too. A night of passion leads to truths that have them finding their HEA. Great story! Worth the wait and we get a glimpse of what’s to come for Emily, Mallory’s friend that fell for a cowboy.
I loved Chris and Mallory’s story. These two have known each other since high school and were each other’s massive crush. They never knew until tonight. This is a quick and sizzling read that can heat you up. It is like a second chance, a second chance to admit their feelings towards each other. Their chemistry is explosively hot and they are just perfect and cute for each other. I loved this story and the characters. I can’t wait to read the next one.
Mallory is home for the Fourth of July and is on her way home when she is cornered by three guys. Chris who is back home for the holiday happens to walk by and see that she is in trouble! He has been in love with her since he was 15, but was a geek back then. Mallory can’t believe her rescuer is Chris from high school! She had the biggest crush on him, but was always invisible to everyone! Sparks fly between them and they finally tell each other how they feel! Only can they have a future together? Great quick read that you will definitely enjoy!

Her Massive Missile is a quick, love story between Mallory and Chris. Love the way the author brought Mallory and Chris together. Her mystery hero turns out to be the same guy she had a crush on in high school. Loved the chemistry between them and that he was crushing on her in high school too. Great writing, sweet love story and a perfect ending.

I would not want to miss a single word… it is that good!
It’s fast and furious this Fourth of July.
Mallory is back in Milltown. After leaving the Stars and Stripes, she’s rescued by Chris Dailey, who’s back in town. Chris always had a crush on Mallory ten years ago in high school but didn’t do anything.
Turns out, Mallory also had a crush on the nerdy Chris. Now he’s all grown up and built. Fireworks go off.
