Wyatt is every woman’s dream. The title of this book says it all. Emily has gone through mental and physical trauma and is dealing with PTSD and feelings of being worthless and damaged. Wyatt was one of her rescuers and has been trying to watch over and protect her, but he too has issues of trust that he has been dealing with. Caitlyn has dealt with their stories with respect and dignity. Beautifully written, highly emotional but also full of action and intrigue that we have come to love from the Black Dawn Series. I received this as an ARC.
This love story gives you all of the feels for this couple. Fear, distrust, paranoia…I just cannot find the words to describe all of the emotions this book made me feel. Can these two work thru their issues, learn to trust and finally make that leap…grab this book. Loved it!!!
I haven’t read the book behind what happened to Emily. Emily and Wyatt are two broken souls. Emily with her rapes and Wyatt how he was raised by his step dad. There is a lot going on in this book. Pretty good story. Also the blub on bookbub does not match this book at all.
Another fantastic addition to the Black Dawn series! Excellent read.
Her Loving Hero: Loved it so much! Loved all the hot men and women. Fantastic writing! Wyatt was perfect for Emily and it was a great brother. I loved how he what to do everything and be everywhere for everyone. Love how well the Seal men and their significant others work well together. Could not put it down it was so good!
Beautiful story of survival and love
This story was just perfect. Emily was introduced a couple books back as a victim that the Black Dawn team rescued. Since then, Wyatt has taken an interest in making sure she’s recovering well and healing properly. Right as their casual friendship heats up, her family’s life back in Oman takes a dangerous turn and Wyatt’s stateside family needs his immediate attention as well.
There’s non-stop action on all fronts, while the romance is exquisitely slow-building, sweet, patient, and tender. The way Wyatt responds to Emily’s issues was beautifully written, and I loved the way she stepped up when his family needed her, too. These characters feel like genuine people, everyday people whose everyday jobs make them true heroes. I love how the author includes all the Black Dawn team members, reminding us that the team itself is another layer of family.
If you like your heroes as smart as they are swoon-worthy, you want to read this series. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I literally stayed up all night for this book, and I don’t regret one minute of missed sleep. This is the latest in the Black Dawn series, and, as always Caitlyn O’Leary has written main characters (and supporting characters) that come off the page to you. The insight that is offered into Emily’s recovery and her PTSD and occasional terror places the reader firmly in her camp, and Wyatt is, I think, my favorite of the Black Dawn characters so far. Add in the supporting cast of his team, Emily’s unthinking and self-centered mother, and the revelations of Wyatt’s background and you have a book that will deprive you of rest till it’s done. The suspense element of the story is equally well drawn and again, an insight into the insidious nature of terrorism and terrorist threats. I read an advance copy of this book, and I cannot recommend it enough.
Wyatt is my new book boyfriend. The patience and love he feels for Emily is beyond beautiful and amazing. Emily went through the unthinkable when she was captured. Wyatt and his team rescued her. But she feels like she is unworthy and damaged. Wyatt is determined to show her what trust and love really mean. Emily finally knows what true love feels like in her heart and soul. “I voluntarily received this arc book for an honest review”
I LOVED Wyatt and Emily’s story. He was so gentle with her in dealing with her attack. He never pushed her, and never gave up on her. Emily and Wyatt were both so strong, and did what needed to be done to take care of their families, and their relationship with each other!
The latest in the Black Dawn series, Her Loving Hero is more focused on the healing side of life. Wyatt and Emily both have mental and physical trauma they are trying to overcome and need to learn to trust before they can fully heal. Well written and with characters that I could feel for, I read this in one sitting not able to put it down until the end. Another great read from Caitlyn O’Leary. Enjoy!
Wyatt has grown up over the last few books. He is no longer the Manwhote he tried to be. Now he concentrates on helping at the Y and looking out for Emily. What started as him protecting her after her ordeal in the Middle East has blossomed into a full-on attraction. But he is aware there is a long road ahead of Emily before she is anywhere near ready for a relationship, but he is this for the long haul.
Emily is a strong woman. She has faced her trauma with dignity, but even she realises she has a long way to go. Even with the super safe Wyatt she continues to have panic attacks. But when danger comes calling for her sister and the rest of the “Goonies” she slips easily back into Big Sis mode and she and Wyatt plan to help them as much as they can.
Slow, sweet, but still passionate. Wyatt is pretty much handling Emily with kid gloves but accepts her decision to take their relationship forward, even though there are wobbles along the way. The Sexual Assault is handled delicately and without making Emily out to be a continual victim.
My heart burst a little at the total neglect that Emily’s parents show towards her and her younger sisters. She and Wyatt are both more parents that older siblings. I can’t wait to see what happens with the Brady Bunch that they are turning into!
