A reluctant billionaire, a grieving young woman, and the trip that changes their lives forever… he hears about an organization in Bangkok that intrigues him, and he decides to take a month off work to volunteer.
Three weeks before her wedding, Phoebe Halliday receives the news no one ever wants to hear… her fiancé, Reed Fisher, has been killed in a car accident. Ten months later, she’s still grieving and plagued by memories, so when her best friend suggests she takes time off work to accompany her on a three-month trip to South-East Asia, Phoebe jumps at it.
But the trip Holly has in mind is more than just a holiday. Her passion for helping others takes them to a mission in Bangkok where young girls and boys caught up in sex-trafficking are rescued and rehabilitated.
When Nick and Phoebe meet, she has no idea who Nick is, and she fights her growing affection for him as she feels she’s being disloyal to Reed’s memory.
Nick soon realizes that even though he’s drawn to Phoebe, unless he shares her faith, they have no future other than friendship. But he won’t make a fake commitment – not even to snag the girl of his dreams.
Can Phoebe let go of Reed and open her heart to new love, and can Nicholas open his heart to God and find not only new life, but a love he never dreamed existed?

Great book very interesting. Loved every minute of reading it. Highly recommend readers to get this one.
I did receive an advanced copy of the book and the review is mine voluntarily.
This book had really great characters, from all walks of life and personalities. The issues faced in this book, grief, sin, searching for God..This book really encompassed a lot. Tackling the sex trafficking issue is no small feat and Duncan handled it with grace. This was a wonderful, clean billionaire story and I look forward to reading the next in her series.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Juliette Duncan has no problem writing stories that inspire you.
I love her clean Christian plots and her characters are so original and true to life.
This book was awesome!
5 stars
I purchased a copy of Her Kind -Hearted Billionaire book 1 in Billionaires with Heart Christian Romance (3 book series)by Juliette Duncan and this review was given freely.
This is a Faith filled clean romance with wonderful characters, a struggle with faith and family, a call to serve, and the acceptance of Christ as Savior.
Grief stricken after the sudden death of her fiance’, struggling Christian and Kindergarten teacher Phoebe joins her best friend on a mission trip to a rescue center of human trafficking victims in Thailand where she meets 32 year old dissatisfied Australian billionaire Nicholas Barrington who is escaping the monotony of work and his superficial self entitled brother Alden and sister Charity.
I really enjoyed this book & didn’t want it to end especially where it ended. I think it was well written & kept my attention & didn’t take me long to finish. It’s really funny how I came to read the book. I was complaining to her that everywhere I look people were writing books about millionaires. It’s true, I think the market is being flooded with them! But Juliette Duncan believed in her book so much that she took a chance & offered to let me read her book for free. She promised that her book was not like everybody else’s book & you know what? She was right? It was a very good book. It is refreshing to read a book & not have to worry about after you get interested in it, am I going to have to drop it because of the language or because of the explicit sex & language. I know some people thinks that adds to the book but to me it takes away from it & is completely unnecessary. I definitely enjoyed her book & would be glad to review her books any time she needs one reviewed. She didn’t ask me to give a review on the book I choose to do so. It was not a condition of me getting this book. I really liked this book & would highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good romance where they casually meet as friends & fall in love, where opposite definitely are attracted to each other!
When Holly and Phoebe decide to go to Thailand Phoebes life will change. Nicholas is a amazing man, the way he supports the people in Thailand is amazing. This is truly a inspirational story that you won’t be able to stop reading. You will feel God working throughout this wonderful book. I had the honor to review this book for the author for a honest review. I would give this book a higher rating than a five star review if I could.
Juliet Duncan does it again! This book gives a real perspective about the child sex trade problem. God brings together two people that are dealing with such different life trials and works in their lives to find love while helping others.
I really liked this book. Was about two different people, but still fell in love.
Since inheriting his grandfather’s fortune and mining business with his two siblings, Nicholas Barrington has tried to make his grandfather proud, but he’s tired of his siblings’ selfishness and arrogance. When he stops by his local church on his way home one night, he hears about an organization in Bangkok that intrigues him, and he decides to take a month off work to volunteer.
Three weeks before her wedding, Phoebe Halliday receives the news no one ever wants to hear… her fiancé, Reed Fisher, has been killed in a car accident. Ten months later, she’s still grieving and plagued by memories, so when her best friend suggests they take a trip when school is out. This is wonderful heartwarming story, clean and well written. This is the first book in this series.I highly recommend reading this book.
I enjoyed the plot of this book. A billionaire who is trying to find purpose and meaning in life serving others falls in love with a grieving lady. While the story was interesting, for me the characters seemed to lack depth. I felt that the story would of been much more realistic if the feeling and emotions would of been developed more throughout the story. In my opinion there wasn’t as much in depth exploration of the main characters in the story as I have come to expect from Juliette. Overall it is an easy read story. I received a complimentary copy of this book, but have chosen to willingly give my honest opinion of this book under no obligation or compulsion.
Going on a holiday – that involves doing charity work. How cool is this!! And meeting a man – who is SO good looking – and humble. And falling in love? Maybe . . . and then going home. And finding out the man is way more than you thought! But he is so kind. And good looking. And searching . . . . .SUPERB BOOK!!!!
He went to help rehabilitate children from sex trafficking. She also went to help and they met after getting overseas. They are attracted to each other but she is not ready to turn loose of her sorrow. I recommend this book to anyone who loves romance books!
A beautiful story of a billionaire looking for greater meaning and a kind schoolteacher trying to put heartbreak behind her. They meet while doing volunteer work at a rescue for sex trafficked children. He slowly learns about God and she is just the person to show him. A story of faith and love. I received a complimentary copy and I am voluntarily reviewing.
A great Christian novel where Nick and Phoebe learn to trust each other by allowing God to give them guidance
A sweet story about a couple who struggle to find love.
Nicholas Barrington is a wonderful man, who inherits his grandfather’s business, along with his siblings. But, he is different not selfish or arrogant. He hopes to continue in his grandfather’s steps, including his finding more about his grandfather’s faith. A stop at the church he had been attending, ends up opening a door for him to go to Thailand for a month, to help at a mission who works with sex trafficking victims. While there, he meets Phoebe Halliday, who is trying to move forward with her life, after losing her fiancé just three days before they were to be married, nearly a year prior. An attraction between the two leads him to ask her to call him, when she arrives back in Sydney. This is such a great story, worth reading for the romance, but even more, for his finding the truth of his grandfather’s faith! I really enjoyed it, and recommend the book!
Three young people search a purpose in the life and fly to Cambodia and Thailandia, as volonteers at church missions.
they will see and learn a lot about the life, traditions, problems in those countries and they’ll realize they are so much lucky
to have people they love, a home to live, a job to earn money, a good village/city to live.
the world is big, but we must help, care, love each other to make it a better place to live.
This is a story of a young man, Nicholas, who inherited his wealth from his grandfather after his parents were killed in an accident. He lives a fairly ordinary life until he joins a church and becomes a strong Christian even though his brother and sister live the high society life. Juliette Duncan writes a warmhearted love story of a young woman, Phoebe, who lost her fiancé in a car accident 3 weeks before their wedding and is still grieving her loss after 10 months. Phoebe meets Nicholas while they are on a month long mission in Bangkok teaching boys and girls about God. Can God bring Phoebe and Nicholas together after they leave Bangkok?
Juliette Duncan has written a sweet, tender romance while dealing with the horrible situation of child sex trafficking, without any graphic details. I adored both of the well-developed main characters, Nick and Phoebe. They put “boots on the ground” to help the abused children, which is how they met. I enjoyed Nick’s process of coming to saving faith and Phoebe’s close walk with God. Although there is a good amount of the Christian faith in the book, it feels natural, not forced. I loved the 7-month anniversary date! I highly recommend this book. I plan on reading more of Juliette Duncan’s work as I always like her books. I received an ARC. I chose to write a review and share my opinion of this excellent story.
A very uplifting & inspiring story. I liked that Nick is a kind-hearted billionaire that learned to love GOD. I liked that he & Phoebe both wanted to help those that were sexually trafficed. I like that the author pointed out that this trafficing is all over the world including the United States. This is a real problem even though this story is fiction. I liked the wonderful love story & the committed family of the church they attended.
This is a very well written book that is more than a romance. It tackles the tough subject of sex trafficking and how God can use the most unlikely person to help. This book will make you stop and think. I received an ARC copy of this book and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own. I highly recommend this book.
