Nicholas Morgan, Marquess of Hartford, fell in love and married the daughter of the Earl of Northgate. After a disastrous wedding night he refuses to touch his wife again. Completely clueless about sex, Helene decides to disguise herself and find her husband at the Nunnery/brothel. This one encounter with Nicholas makes her more determined to …
HOT, HOT, HOT! This story starts off with a bang and doesn’t let go. This story features a couple already married. I loved the development of their characters, and how they grew to know and love one another better. There are some dark secrets in their path, and the secondary characters make the story even more delightful.
Wonderful, Erotic, Angst & Romance
I truly enjoyed this Book. If you don’t like reading sex scenes or child sexual abuse, this Book isn’t for you.
Albeit, I don’t like hearing about disgusting people abusing children because I was sexually & physically abused as a child. The Story didn’t dive to hardcore into it. I Love Helena’s spunk, wit & …
Loved the tortured hero and the unsure heroine!
A little too graphic for me.
Easy read. A little repaticious. But I actually read this book before years ago.
This seemed to have a plot that set up the next sex scene. As I read, I was asking myself where will the next encounter be?
Her Husband’s Harlot by Grace Callaway is the first book in her Mayhem in Mayfair series. This book I feel falls into the erotic historical romance genre, and it is VERY steamy! The book starts in a brothel – Lady Helena is desperate to confront her husband, Nicholas after their disastrous wedding night, and when she finds an invitation to a …
Strong characters, but say wlman, unique story line.
I read this book twice. Loved it both times.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book.
I always love her characters. They are wonderfully flawed.
The story line and spicy romance
Would not recommend this book. Pure smut and the language! I couldn’t finish the first chapter
What a good little romance novel! Steamy in all the right places and even a little mystery to give the story depth. Fast, fun, and better written than most.
Helena was married off to Nicholas Morgan, Marquess of Harteford, since the marriage contract paid off her father’s debts. But Helena is fascinated with Nicholas, who grew up in the slums, completely unaware of his true father. He escapes from his life as a climbing boy with the help of his mentor, Jeremiah Fines (a shipping merchant). Nicholas …
This book ended up being very good & I enjoyed it. I thought it was a bit frustrating at first with all the miscommunication, but the erotic sex scenes made up for it. I did like both the characters & was rooting for their happily ever after.
I keep looking for ‘the new Georgette Heyer”. This is not that. It’s an OK, quick read for standing in line or waiting for a train.
I enjoyed reading this book. It was different from the usual Regencey romances. The heroine was strong and resourceful.
Too much sexual description. Ruined the storyline.
