A romance. A mystery. A bit of a mystical story. A charmingly put together with a large cast of characters. The setting of this story is a wee town that has a sub culture operating along with the norm of daily living. Then there are the cats. Put all together and things morph into a very sweet love story, making for a light and bright read.

This is the second book in this series and I had a great time reading it! So much fun to pass the time. Cat’s Paw Cove has a good variety of supernaturals living there. Tori is a earthly cupid that has a party planning business. When her childhood friend Heath, a baseball player comes back to town to attend the big town event bad luck seems to be abound between jealous people, a grumpy goblin and a very controlling mother poor Tori has a rough time. A great romance . looking forward to reading the next in this series.
This is a very well written sweet romance story.
Heath and Tori have known each other all their lives, and although he moved away she stayed in their same small town and started her own business.
Best friends is what they have always been. What happens when one wants more, and well they have no idea the other has the same thoughts.
With everything going wrong for Tori can Heath make things right?
I highly suggest this story if you enjoy sweet, honest romance with a touch of mystery.
Welcome to Cat’s Paw Cove where things are a little magical. Her Homerun Hottie is a friends to lovers tale that will put a smile on your face. This book is high energy non-stop action that will have you rooting for the home team.
First, let me say I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I loved it!
When things seem like they can’t get worse, they often do! Professional party planner Tori Sutherland has more plates spinning on sticks than a circus clown. On top of everything, her magical gift of helping others find true love isn’t doing a thing for her own dry spell. Then, ‘hottie’ professional baseball player, Heath Castillo, comes back to Cat’s Paw Cove. Romantic sparks fly between them, but after all these years, is it possible that former best friends can become lovers?
Wynter Daniels has a knack for writing great stories that won’t let you go until you’ve read the entire thing. As with all her books, you won’t be disappointed.
What a great read! Tori and Heath are longtime friends each wanting the other. When Tori is hired to plan the centennial with Heath as special guest, the two are thrown together.
When I got to the end of this book, I had a huge smile on my face! It was chock full of good times, quirky characters, and tender truths! A feel good all around!
Mystery, magic, and matchmaking…
Her Homerun Hottie is the second book in the Cat’s Paw Cove series. This is a wonderfully light best friends to lovers story that involves mystery, magic, and matchmaking for the matchmaker herself. Heath and Tori are great characters, lovable and relatable. The story is well written with humour, suspense, and sweet romance.
I highly recommend this story and am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Tori’s party planner business has been going well. She is rushed off her feet but lately little things keep going wrong. Does she haave soemone who hater her that much? Is it because of her business of her “talent” for being a cupid? But with her former best friend, the hothie Heath, coming home to head up festivities she is ging to ahve to pull up her big girl panties and either tell him she lusts after him or let her fantasy go.
Heath is warm, engaging and has tried not to let the whole ballplayer thing go to his head. All he really wants now is Tori. But he was never good enough for her family when they were teenagers, will his new wealth and celebrity help or hinder his chances now?
Witty, warm and welcoming with a nice little mystery thrown in.
a little bit of romance, some mystery, and Cupid make for an interesting story. An easy fun read. Leaves me wondering what will happen next in Cats Paw Cove

Welcome to the Cat’s Paw Cove where unuaual humans & cats live. One special human is Tori Sutherland who happens to be an event planner and has special matchmaking skills (a human Cupid). Unfortunately for Tori, her special someone, Heath Castillo, moved away a long time ago and there will never be anyone else for her.
Heath Castillo is a major league baseball player and he’s scheduled to come home and be a Guest of Honor at the Cat’s Paw Tricentennial Gala which Tori is planning. Well things are looking up for Tori, or are they? Strange things happen in Cat’s Paw Cove. Read for yourselves the outcome you’ll love it.
I loved this romantic, sexy, hilarious and suspenseful story. Adored Tori & Heath and all the other characters and cats, in this story. I highly recommend this story and looking forward to the next in this fantastic series.
I found this to be an extremely quick read for me and it’s definitely a cute one too. Tori is Cupid or perhaps I should say an Earth bound Cupid so I’m guessing in theory that there could possibly be more. Tori has never left her hometown and now that her mother is widowed is pretty much run ragged trying to keep her party planning business afloat whilst also unfortunately being at the beck and call of her mum. Still there’s an important event on the horizon and Tori is desperate to get the contract but what she’s not so keen on is Heath, her childhood best friend returning to be the guest of honour. Heath might be playing in the big leagues now but once he was just the son of a cleaner and the town drunk. That never mattered to Tori but when Heath made it obvious he didn’t exactly want more than friendship her teenage heart was crushed. That’s all in the past but Heath hasn’t exactly been honest with Tori and as events get more bizarre its perhaps time these friends have a heart to heart !
As I’ve said it was an easy and quick read that had the oddest romance because so much seemed to be in the characters imagination. There is a mystery to solve and a few people needed setting in the right direction but when it ended whilst not exactly rushed it did feel to me that everything came perhaps a little too neatly together
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from NetGalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair
Good friends to lovers story. Heath and Tori were best friends growing up, from playing Captain Planet as kids to going to prom together. Tori didn’t care that his mom was the maid and that his father was a drunk, Heath was her friend. Heath liked spending time with Tori because he could escape the problems he had at home. When baseball gave him a chance to leave, he took it, but not before realizing that he felt more than friendship for Tori.
I liked both Tori and Heath, but I hurt for them too. Tori is a warm, loving person with a unique talent for matching people with their forever loves. This pairs well with her job as the town’s only event planner. She is pretty well tied to her hometown, taking care of her widowed mother (who is about as helpless as a shark). I hurt for Tori because her mom continually puts her down, which gives her a low opinion of her worth. The one guy she was interested in made it clear that he only wanted to be friends. Heath also has some self-worth issues. Though he’s confident enough professionally, off the field is another matter. When an injury threatens that job, he has some decisions to make. The invitation to be the guest of honor at his hometown’s tricentennial celebration comes at a good time but carries with it a different set of problems. His memories of home aren’t all good ones, plus he has to see Tori again.
I enjoyed the development of the relationship between Heath and Tori. Tori is nervous about seeing him again because he hadn’t reacted well to her advances all those years ago. Heath is wary because he still remembers Tori’s father telling him that he was nowhere near good enough for Tori. Neither one has forgotten those feelings, and spending time together during the celebrations isn’t going to help. Sure enough, the sparks between them fly hot and fast, even though each is reluctant to do anything about it. Tori thinks she can hide/suppress her feelings for a few days, and Heath isn’t sure he wants to risk their friendship. Eventually, those sparks burst into flame, and their fantasies came true. I liked seeing them finally talk to each other about their feelings, but there are still obstacles keeping them apart. Each of them had to face the ghosts of their pasts before they could have a chance at a future. I liked their big moment at the end and seeing how they find a way to make it work. I’d like to see more of them in the future to catch up on how they are doing.
There is a little bit of suspense during the story. Tori is given the job of the tricentennial with very short notice when the town’s committee falls apart. Tori had to fight for the chance against her high school nemesis, whose fiancé also wants the job. I ached for Tori when it seemed like anything that could go wrong, did go wrong. I liked Heath’s protectiveness and his determination to help her in any way he can. The resolution of the problem was not what I expected, but not a surprise for where it was.
