Donnie Nolan learned early that the secret to life is control. Born into a world of blood and violence, he broke free from the chains of his past with the help of Master Blake and his crew at The Club, and vowed that nothing would drag him back… until a knock at the door reminds him that there are some chains that can never be broken. All Grace Diaz had ever dreamed about was freedom – freedom to … freedom to control her destiny, to explore her passions, and to love the boy who’d always been her hero. But those dreams died the day Donnie Nolan left the neighborhood. Now, thanks to her older brother’s debts, Grace has become a pawn in a criminal chess game. Kidnapped and held by a man with ties to human traffickers, freedom has never felt like more of a dream.
Donnie must confront his painful past to save Grace. But what will happen when she realizes that he’s not the knight in shining armor she once thought he was, but a sadist who longs for control? Will Donnie be able to reconcile his dark desires with his need to be… her hero?
Publisher’s Note: This book is intended for adults only. It contains raw elements of violence, power exchange, and mild BDSM, including the disciplining of adult women. If these themes offend you, please do not purchase.

I hope I’m not the only reader of this series who has continually wondered and hunted through previous books to try and figure out who Donny was. If I am, then you can only imagine how excited I was to read his story. If you’ve read the blurb then you have a brief synopsis already so there’s no need for me to go through that. What I will say is this storyline is shocking, thrilling, exciting, at times awe-inspiring, and sigh-worthy. Once again, Jane Henry brings the ‘family’ together to help one of their own when trouble is dropped on Donny’s doorstep. The drama continually builds as Salazar is due to get out of prison and frustration over wiring at the new club. Sometimes second chances are better than the first time around and Grace and Donny have proved that with their story.
In book number 6, we get Donnie and Grace’s story. He is suppose to protect her from people who are after her because of her brother, but Grace doesn’t behave very well while under his protection. LOL And then Donnie’s past comes back to haunt him. There is drama, intrigue and some really hot sex. And while I won’t give anything away, there is a twist that caught me off guard. I loved this story and I love this whole series. If you haven’t read any of them, you really should. This is a stand alone but you will meet characters from previous books. I HIGHLY recommend this book and this whole series. Jane and Maisy are a dynamic writing team who always bring their best!!!
The fifth book in this wonderful series. This story takes place a few years after His Lady and features Donnie and his Grace. They have known each since they were kids, but meet up again years later. Donnie deals with his inner demons and is known as a strict and stern Dom, but Grace wakes up feelings in himself he has kept hidden for years. Grace is a feisty strong woman with a dream. This all comes together in a beautiful written book with lots of action, sexy, funny scenes and tender moments.
Book #6, Boston Doms. Donnie and Grace’s story…which is sublime! Jane Henry and Maisy Archer are the dynamic duo of BDSM and incredible creativitys!
SPOILER ALERT: HER HERO IS BOOK 6 IN THE BOSTON DOMS SERIES. IF YOU HAVEN’T READ THE FIRST FIVE BOOKS IN THIS SERIES, THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS.
Donnie and Grace grew up in the inner city of Boston. Donnie was a street tough who had two loves in his life: his motorcycle and Gracie. But Gracie was Pedro’s young, innocent, protected baby sister, and Pedro was Donnie’s best friend. In Donnie’s mind, Gracie has always been off limits, even though he’s been in love with her since they were kids. Even now that they’re both grown and have lost touch with each other, Donnie still has Gracie on a pedestal and he’ll never be good enough for her. Donnie grew up in a Boston crime family. It was expected that he’d take his place in the family “business,” and for a while, he did. But after a few years of being an errand boy and playing a minor role as an enforcer for his cousin, Mikey, Donnie wanted out and left, cutting himself off from his entire family and all his friends. He’s alone. No job. No friends. No home. No money. Nothing. He meets Blake Coleman, the owner/operator of The Club, Boston’s famous BDSM club. When Blake takes Donnie under his wing and becomes his friend and mentor, Donnie is able to leash the violence that has ruled his life and channel it into something far less destructive, far more pleasurable. His break with his family and his old life is complete as he begins a new chapter. Twelve years down the road, events conspire to bring Gracie back into Donnie’s life. Gracie has never forgotten Donnie. The irony of the situation is that she has loved Donnie since she was a child, just as he’s had the same feelings for her. But neither has ever told the other of the emotions that they hold in their hearts. The problem is, when Gracie shows up, so does Donnie’s family, the family business, the old neighborhood, and all the violence, danger, and brutality that he left behind over a decade ago. He has a new life now, a job he loves, new friends, a family he’s built based on love and trust. He’s made something of himself. And, as much as he still loves Gracie, allowing her into his life will bring complications, the threat of danger, extreme risk, and possible pain to that family. Can he allow himself to get involved? Or perhaps the question should be, can he NOT allow himself to get involved? Either way, the road ahead it full of twists, turns, pitfalls, and hidden dangers. The threats and dangers to Donnie and Gracie, and all of their friends and families, are very real and truly frightening.
The talent that both Jane Henry and Maisy Archer demonstrate as authors and storytellers blew me away. I’ve seldom had an author (in this case two) who could pull me into their story from the very beginning and hold my interest in the way Ms. Henry and Ms. Archer did. I was immersed in Donnie and Grace’s story to the point that I became a part of their lives. That’s a rare ability, but Ms. Henry and Ms. Archer pull you into the story from the first page. Outstanding doesn’t come close to describing their abilities I didn’t want to put the book down. I’m so glad that a friend pointed me in the direction of their Boston Doms series. This is a series you can’t miss if you love BDSM, erotic romance, adventure, and mystery. I can’t give this book anything less than five stars. Thank you, Ms. Henry and Ms. Archer! This book and series are divine!
A final note. Be an informed reader! This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don’t enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and (Amazon) all booksellers’ websites. Use these resources. DON’T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON’T ENJOY THE BOOK. It’s not fair to the author. She works hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you’ll object to a book’s subject matter before you buy it, you’re doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice.
Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!
