* Book 2 of 2 in the Savage Hope Duet *I refuse to break. I can’t say that I’ve been through worse, but I still believe I’ll survive this. I’m not going to crumble at the seams. If I do, Collin’s enemies will have won. And everything we’ve both lost would have been for nothing.I know it seems crazy to return to my old life and try to get a fresh start in a place with more bad memories than good, … memories than good, courtesy of my crook of a stepfather. But it’s all I have. And all I need. At least that’s what I keep telling myself.
…Until Collin bursts back into my life.

I refuse to let Mia suffer. I may know jack about healing—vengeance seems to be all I’m capable of right now—but that doesn’t mean I can’t protect her from more pain. God knows my world has caused her enough of that to last a lifetime.
I understand her need to start a new life. Hell, I even want that for her…even though I’m sure it’ll end up killing me and decimating my hopeless heart for good. But I’ll do anything for her. Even this. At least that’s what I keep telling myself.
…Until I almost lose her all over again.

NOTE: While this is the Collin Stark (CEO of Stark International) mentioned throughout the Savage Trust series, the events of his story actually take place prior to Wrecked, Scarred, and Frayed. Be advised that Collin and Mia’s story is a two-part 80K word duet. This is Book 2. Book 1 takes place six months before the start of this book, and as such, the books need to be read in order.

This book was just as heart wrenching as the first one, but this one ends with Collin and Mia’s HEA so it’s all good. I devoured it in one day, it was so good, even though it ripped my heart out. There were so many tears throughout most of the story, but then, things start looking up for Collin and Mia, and all I could feel was relief. Wonderful story! I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
This is book two in this couple’s story and you must read book one, His Trust first. Mia and Collin’s relationship has been intense, steamy, emotional and heartbreaking. This book picks up the story line several weeks after the end of book one. While I enjoyed this duet of books, this was definitely not my favorite couple and/or books from this author. Unfortunately, these characters and the couple they formed never really connected with me and if I am totally honest, I never felt that intense emotional connection that I like between my favorite couples. Still, the overall story was entertaining and offers lots of emotional turmoil, tension, angst, danger, action and steam.
This was such a satisfying ending to the duet. Collin sent Mia back to the United States after the bombing and exiles her to one of the Stark International businesses where she is in a entry level position. After waiting for Collin to come back to her for months, she abruptly quits and moves back home to her childhood farm. There Mia comes into her own and grows a backbone. Collin’s friends and associates help him realize that he is worthy of love and support. I was happy to see Mia keep him on his toes. Throw in some suspense and action and it was a great ending to their story.
Thank you for the privilege of reading this book!
What a great way for the Savage Hope Duet to end! It was an intense, emotional, sexy and steamy read! I enjoyed the drama, ups and downs and twists and turns that were in this story. It had me from the start and I couldn’t put it down! It couldn’t have ended ended any better than it did! The epilogue pulled at my heartstrings! I loved it! I love all of Christa’s books and the Savage Hope Duet was fantastic! Read it and you won’t be disappointed!
This is the conclusion to Mia and Colin’s story and it’s a ride. They are still on a hard road and healing but their love is everything. I can’t write too much without having a spoiler but going through their story had me going through several emotions and I couldn’t get enough.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
After the explosion, Collin sends Mia to a satellite location of his company and pays her to show up to work with no job duties, simply to be able to keep her safe. She can’t move on, not knowing if he still cares for her, so she moves home to start life anew. Collin shows up to save her yet again. A few unexpected twists, but they finally get their HEA. It’s a great book well worth reading. I received a free ARC of this book, but am leaving an honest review.
Part 2 was everything I hoped it would be!
Mia and Collin are each picking up the pieces of their lives after the events at the end of Book 1, and while we know they’ll find their way back to each other, we also know it’s not going to be easy. These two really have the deck stacked against them, making this a non-stop page-turner that was captivating from start to finish.
I loved how Collin learned to open his heart, knowing he could trust Mia to take care of it. The story is both intense and sweetly charming, and I loved every bit. Their hard-won HEA is beautifully followed by an epilogue that will make your heart flutter. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Love is a dangerous game and Collin and Mia are about to learn just how savage it can be. Her Heart is the second half of The Savage Hope duet. Wick picks up right where she left off, but my heart never truly left. I found myself even more captivated by the intensity. This couple survived the unthinkable, but can they repair the damage the was done. A tempestuous edge of the seat, total eclipse of the heart romance.
Excellent ending

Attention, spoiler of book 1 “His trust”
The story is still as good with its description of feelings and relationships between characters. On the other hand, this part is more romantic and less torrid, which is quite logical because the position of Collin has changed, he is no longer the one who has the right to decide for Mia. The story still contains action because of the new characters and attacks against Mia.
The story resumes six months after the bomb blast and so, six months after Collin has sent back Mia to the United States after her miscarriage. So, he protects her from him and his enemies, but also gives her the opportunity to rebuild a life, without having explained it to her before sending her away.
But in the golden cage that he built to her and facing what Mia takes for betrayal, she runs away and returns to the property of her childhood now held by the stepfather she had fled away. She discovers a farm in poor condition and a guesthouse dilapidated that she owns. She quickly understands that her stepfather is suspicious and is warned by Gillie, a police officer who asks her for a datet. Mia does not feel ready, but when an unexpecting Collin comes to her, she strengthens her choice: he pushed her away from him, she will forget him and move on because he hurted her too much.
