Can he mend her heart?Forty-two-year-old Dina has been a widow for a few years, but as far as her heart is concerned, she lost her husband only a few days ago. Her sister knows that if she doesn’t do something drastic, Dina is going to end up spending the rest of her days alone, and that would just compound the tragedies in her life.So her bratty younger sister decides to do something about that … something about that – especially since the small motel her sister and brother-in-law ran together desperately needs a handyman. After all, this is the perfect example of killing two birds with one stone.
Enter Garrett, who is just about the furthest thing from your typical Mr. Fixit as any one man can be. But he’s tall and muscular and gorgeous – and about seven years younger than Dina, none of which are things that endear him to her.
But as soon as he lays eyes on her, Garrett knows Dina is the woman for him.
Unfortunately, convincing her of that isn’t going to be easy.
Publisher’s Note: This steamy contemporary romance contains power exchange scenes.

I loved this story because it has an older woman finding love for the second time. Dina’s husband died several years earlier and she never fully accepted it and moved on with her life. Garrett comes into her life and takes charge. There are a lot of emotions in this story that adds to the reason I loved it. There is a lot going on in this story which makes this a great romance. This is a very entertaining read and I would highly recommend it.

Ms. Faulkner has a wonderful ability to create characters with hidden depths. When kind hearted widow Dina is struggling to keep her motel running, her sister steps in and sends a possible handyman her way. Garrett is handy and EXTREMELY handsome, from the moment he meets Dina he feels a connection. Unfortunately, Dina is still stuck in the past…..in more ways than one. She continues to feel like she is married and she is probably the technologically challenged person ever. Garrett is able to help with the work around the motel AND he is able to gently lead her across the digital divide but can he get her to take a chance on LOVE? I loved both characters…befuddled, old fashioned Dina and sweetly dominating Garrett.

The AN OLDER WOMAN AND A YOUNGER MAN
Dina needs a handyman to get her small motel in Maine in shape for the season. Still coming to terms with her husband’s death, the motel wasn’t her first priority to keep in shape. She and her husband were high school sweethearts. She’s never known another man, until the dominant, good-looking young handyman walks in for the job and takes over her life. Some spanking with a dominant lover.
When Dina’s little sister finds her a handyman, she shocked when she sees he’s is really hot. He doesn’t look like he needs a job, much less as a handyman, but she agrees to hire him. She has been in grief for several years for her husband and doesn’;t want another romance. At 42, she thinks that part of her life is over. Then her handyman repairs her libido. Her husband was a spanking man and now she discovers that her new roommate and employee is also a spanker. Can this younger man convince this lonely grieving woman that her life is not over yet? That she can still find love? A spanking romance.

*4.5 stars*
Sultry heat and romance with a splash a humour…
In other words, all the good things to make Garrett and Dina’s story so satisfying. They had physical sparks and a back and forth that made this story so much fun to read.
Widowed, and still mourning her loss, Dina was not ready for the full on press Garrett brought with him. Hiding from his fast-paced life, Garrett pursued Dina in an entirely non-stalker way that still brought the heat and the authority she craved… Falling in love is messy and difficult and that was the case here too. They argued and disagreed – often! – but they handled it all with a maturity that balanced the not too crazy drama.
This satisfying novella ticked all the romance boxes while scorching them at the same time.
*I happily reviewed this story

Dina hasn’t really moved on from the death of her husband yet but her new handyman is going to do his best to change that. From the moment Garrett saw Dina at the motel she owns, he’s wanted more from her than just a job. Dina wants him too but letting go of the past is proving to be very difficult.
I loved this story. The writing is great, as always. Loved the characters. Dina is still weighed down by her grief but Garrett is able to spark life back into her. Garrett is a dominant and there is some spanking but mostly it’s just a great love story about two people who are meant for each other.

Her Handyman:
Couple: Dina and Garrett
Meet: Garrett answers the Craigslist ad about the “handyman” job to the shock Dina
Problems: Dina is stubborn, but Garrett knows what he wants—her!
Side note: Tink needs a book! Tink is a fabulous character that interacts with Dina and Garrett. She’s also responsible for the Ad that Dina doesn’t have a clue about. Let the fun begin!
Dina runs a motel and it’s in desperate need of repairs. Knowing that Dina won’t do much about it, Tink (our fearless friend) decides to put an Ad in Craigslist asking for help from a “Handyman”. Lo and behold, Garrett answers the Ad. However, he’s more than just a “Handyman” in the story. The story goes through a range of emotional feelings for Dina because she’s attracted to Garrett, but still missing her late husband Luke.
If you need a good book to curl up with while having tea or wine, this is the book for you! Easy to read and didn’t take forever to get the point across.

Her Handyman can fix other things for her also
Her Handyman is a nicely written story about a widow who discovers she might have a second chance at love when she least expects it. Dina ran a motel with her deceased husband and it is now in need of repairs and maintenance. In comes Garrett who is younger and very handsome. Garrett will have to work at getting Dina as she is not sure about the potential of a relationship, but he is sure and determined that she is and will be his.
I liked this shorter story and the fast pace and easy reading. The one thing I did not connect with was that Garrett was supposed to be a Dom but he definitely did not read that way to me. But other than that this was an enjoyable story.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
