Young Wyatt (9 going on 29) was my favorite character in this story. He was so eager and excited to learn to be a cowboy. And Wesley was a great roll model. Wyatt and his mom, Lailah, went to a small town in Texas to escape a bad family situation in Chicago. That is the general theme of this story. I recommend this clean, suspenseful romance for any age group. It has a very satisfying HEA.
My thoughts about this book:
• Danae Little created two wonderful characters, Audrey and Wesley for this book. Their romance touched my heart and I was completely immersed in their story.
• There was suspense and romance in this read that made the plot unpredictable and interesting.
• There were many secondary players in this novel. They were varied, well developed, and interesting. They added depth to the storyline. Two of my favorite secondary players were Jackson and Bethany.
• The descriptions of locations and emotions were well done, easy to visualize, and to feel. I felt a part of the scenes.
• This was a clean read and I appreciated that fact.
I was given an advance copy of this book. My review was voluntary and my opinions were my own. This was another great book by Danae Little. I highly recommend this book to western romance fans who like a touch of suspense.
This series has been so interesting. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know more about amnesia and the different ways it manifests. Audrey and Wesley’s story is so good, yet heart breaking at the same time. I enjoyed reading their story and the underlying fear or anxiety. I had a hard time putting this one down.
Her Guardian Cowboy is an exciting and tender romance. Audrey Murphy and her son are on the run from her deceased husband’s family and looking for a safe place. Wesley Miller is a rancher having a hard time making ends meet while trying to care for his mother with Alzheimer’s. I loved the main characters and Audrey’s son, Jackson, as well as Wesley’s mother Bethany. The plot has twists and turns that add tension to the story. There are a couple of kisses that may melt your e-reader in this clean, inspirational book. There’s a great HEA! I intend to read more of Danae Little’s work and more books in this series. I recommend this book to clean/wholesome romance readers, to Christian fiction readers, and to cowboy fans. I obtained my copy through KU.
This is a special book to me as it deals with a parent with dementia. Audrey has settled in a small town where Wesley and his mother with dementia lives. He takes care of the family ranch just barely getting by when he meets Audrey and his son Jackson who has moved there and Jackson is taking horse riding lessons. Loved this sweet clean romance and loved that both Audrey and Wesley are trying to care for their family members giving up on the life that they once dreamed about but once they meet each other their life just got better.
I loved this book and I rarely LOVE a book. Audrey and Wesley are people who need and want love but are too afraid to seek it. Great characters and story line – the bonus amnesia twist worked really well – and just enough angst. A romantic suspense with an adorable little boy and a hea!!!
This is a sweet clean romance that hits all the marks. I loved the deep love and sense of unity between mothers and sons. Then there was the immediate bond between the cowboy and the wanna be cowboy. And all the other relationships fell into place. These stories all have a caretaker / protector and one suffering from a degree of amnesia. The formula is all the same and they all end in HEA, but they are all also entertaining and worth reading. I loved it
Great story!
The characters were well written––the main characters hiding their hearts because of fear of getting hurt. And, the sweet innocent love on a child way too serious for his years.
There’s action and adventure as well as sweet family moments.
Well worth the time to read.
This is part of a series but can easily be read as a stand-alone. It is a clean romance and suitable for all ages. In this story, Audrey and her son, Jackson, are escaping from the mob and looking to start a new life with new identities. Wesley and his ranch might just be exactly what they need. I really liked this story and recommend it.
