He pays her rent the day they meet. Now, he wants more.He wants to know her… touch her… protect her.But who will protect her from him? When I see the yellow eviction notice taped to my front door, I know it’s going to be an interesting day. But when I march into the property manager’s office, I don’t expect to have my rent paid by a mysterious man with gorgeous green eyes and a suit that hugs all … green eyes and a suit that hugs all the right body parts.
Daniel Meyers isn’t concerned about being repaid for his good deed. All he wants is me, and every time he flashes me that dimpled smile I find it harder to resist.
But who is Daniel? Is he really just a man who happened to be in the right place at the right time?
And why is he so intent on protecting me?

If Kristin knew my real identity, and why I orchestrated our meeting, she’d never speak to me again. And I can’t bear the thought of that.
I was supposed to get in and get what I wanted, but her understated beauty and giving nature changed the game.
All I want is to be near her, to see her, touch her, know her, protect her.
But who will protect her from me?

“Her Guardian” was a nicely written novel that was fascinating. The amazing plot with some twists and turns had been foreshadowed early on and kept the reader on his/her toes. Moreover, the dynamic main characters, Daniel and Kristin, gushed with chemistry. Overall, I enjoyed reading the narrative.
Her Guardian
It’s a feel good story with enough heat to add steamy to the title but the majority of the story is about their unintentional relationship.
Guess it’s easier to fall for a little lie than anyone wants to admit.
Happily ever after guaranteed, Cassia Leo gives you a sweet story. Though, I find it far from her best work, it is entertaining.
Her Guardian is about Kristin Owens and Daniel Meyers. Kristin and her mother live in an apartment building in the Bronx. She’s an only child working two shifts as a waitress to take care of her mother. Her mother has a shattered kneecap and is unable to find work. Kristin dropped out of NYU to take care of her mother, but they continue to struggle financially.
Daniel isn’t who he claims to be. That doesn’t stop him from pursuing Kristin. The moment he met her he was drawn to her. Once he heard her story he felt a connection.
This is not my first read by Cassia Leo. I started with the Shattered Hearts series. That series was an epic read. I continue to measure every book read after that series with it. So far none of Cassia’s books have that same quality writing style. Her writing voice has changed. I struggle to finish each one of her books. I want so badly to give one of her books a 5 star rating but these new releases are disappointing. The content is boring. There’s no emotional draw or connection. It’s written with that matter-of-fact quality which offers nothing to grasp onto to. It’s an easy read, yet I still find myself skimming.
I know I’m headed for trouble when I read dialogue stating, “did I know the real Daniel?”…this is after knowing the guy for two weeks. SMH.
The story is comprised of four parts and an epilogue. Both characters were hiding a secret. This burden laid heavy in their hearts until they met. Kristin felt at ease with Daniel finding it easy to share her deep dark secret. Daniel’s not as easy to crack. He’s reluctant to share his secret. For all the building up that Cassia did I still couldn’t find anything remotely interesting about this storyline or the way it was executed. Many times the storyline got sidetracked with mindless mundane dialogue. The art of distraction is strong with Cassia.
Very enjoyable read!
Keep my interest
I Loved this book.I kept reminding the characters of things They had forgotten to do.
Both had good family support. Daniel was very kind to Kristin from the beginning, but it didn’t take much for him to become kind-hearted as well to help Kristin what she rightfully deserved. I thought this was a good book.
It was ok
It was a great read kept me on the couch spralled out deep into this novel.kapt me turning. Pages until the end
I loved the story line, but I could have enjoyed it more with a few less or no expletives. They really did not add to the story.
Wow. Did not see the end coming at all. Would definitely read the next chapter in their lives.
What a lovely book. I enjoyed reading it.
Fun read! Not realistic but it is a fiction book!
Not my favorite by this author but I did enjoy reading Kristin and Daniel’s story. Secrets and lies could be their downfall. But they’re very forgiving and understanding as discoveries are made. Everyone makes mistakes but both of theirs seem pretty profound. They truly are good together and both have a wonderful supportive group of family/ friends.
I’m sorry I bought this and I highly don’t recommend it!
I didn’t even get through the first page the language was trash!
Cassia Leo has TOTALLY and COMPLETELY blown me away with The Heiress! This CAPTIVATING and ENGROSSING romantic suspense (I found it VERY suspenseful, so I’m going with it!) had me melting and swooning, sitting on the edge of my seat, until the very last page!
Kristin has given up her dreams, and her college education, to care for her mother as her health deteriorates, working as much as she can to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table. When the eviction notice appears on the door, Kristin is enraged and finds herself at the landlords office where she meets her “knight in shining armor” Daniel.
The mystery begins to unfold, piece by piece, until everything is revealed…I LOVED every single thing about this INCREDIBLE, INTOXICATING, RIVETING love story!!! From the sexy banter between Kristin and Daniel to the lies and betrayal, the INTENSE, panty-melting love scenes…this book HAS IT ALL!!! And then some! Kudos to you, Cassia Leo for another STELLAR, emotional MUST READ that will stay forever in my heart!
The Heiress is about a young woman with the world on her shoulders. As her mother’s body weakened from years of physical labor, Kristin left school to take care of her mom.
When she isn’t assisting her mother, Kristin works at a bar to pay for a tiny apartment in the Bronx. She needs a break but she can’t get out of the endless cycle.
Daniel Meyers is a natural protector. He is also a very wealthy man. He falls deeply in love with Kristin as she continuously shocks him with her loyalty, bravery, and beauty. There’s just one problem. His own dark secrets might break them apart.
I loved this story. The first half of the book was told in Kristin’s point of view, and then it switched to Daniel’s. It was absolutely addicting, and my mind was always wondering what was going on. Daniel was such an enigma, and I couldn’t stop thinking about him.
Cassia Leo does a brilliant job to pull you in. Her writing is like a drug! I wish the ending was slightly different, but overall I really enjoyed this book!
