“Do you know what lurks inside a witch’s heart? I do.”“I’m Astrid, raven turned man companion of formidable witch, Lady Isra. I will do anything to protect her. I’ve cloaked our home so not a soul can find it.”“Then there’s the girl, Contessia. She’s no match for Isra. She’s good and believes in all that “love and light” stuff. It’s child’s play to me. Isra fancies having herself a protege to … herself a protege to lead astray, I’m okay with that.”
“But what I was not prepared for… The light has found it’s way into her soul again.“
“Staring into the eyes of Isra’s long-lost foe, Everilda, I discover the real reason why she originally turned her back on it all.”
Now war is waging between Lady Isra of the Dark and Everilda, the mortal witch who has lost her powers. She sets her sights on Isra’s magic. Wanting it all for herself. Will Everilda succeed?
Once again we enter the fortress of Lady Isra and her raven companion, Astrid. USA Today Best-Selling Author, Isra Sravenheart casts a spell in which even the darkest of souls can find the light again.

Isra has done it again. She wrote a beautiful second book and gave us more perspectives of Miss Isra the witch. The ending of book 2 absolutely broke my heart for Astrid. I hope this isn’t the end for these two.
Isra this book grew. She surprised me with how much she got better but still kept true to her dark roots. I got some whiplash from her good choices and bad choices and even sometimes her thought process. I think that’s what made her more relatable. I’m constantly going back and forth between good and bad things.
You definitely see a darker side to Astrid this book. But it raises more questions. What about his past does he not want known?
I can’t wait to read book 3!
Her Blackened Heart by Isra Sravenheart is the second book in the Blackened series. I recommend reading the first book before this to enjoy the book fully. The story takes us and gives us insight into the past of Lady Isra. There are battles of light and dark and of mortal and immortal. I really enjoyed the new characters and the development of Lady Isra and Astrid. I also enjoyed the development of the ongoing story and am curious as to what will happen as the series progresses. I look forward to reading the next book in this series soon.
What happens when a dark witch falls in love? What happens when her one time friend and former witch comes seeking revenge? Isra is once again about proving that even in the darkness you can find trouble. Astrid is her lover. Once a raven, but now turned into a man with Isra’s dark powers, they share an understanding of each others darkness that makes them perfect for one another. That is, until Everilda shows up. A blast from the past for Isra and not something she’s really looking forward to dealing with, not when she could be doing delicious things with Astrid!
Meanwhile, Isra takes a protege in the form of a young Wiccan named Contessia, and a new servant named Klinq.
Is everything as it appears, or is there more than meets the eye with all the players involved? Will Isra once again know betrayal or will she triumph?
I adored this second book and the love of Isra and Astrid. Thank you for this second novel
Isra Sravenheart has written another page-turning, spellbinding, tale in the next book in her “Blackened Series.” It is easy to lose time with well-crafted characters like Astrid, the raven, turned-man companion of the witch Lady Isra, and the protagonist Contessia. The plot develops quickly and it becomes easy to see why Sraveheart is a USA bestselling author. I can’t wait to read more in this series!
Who doesn’t love a story about villainous witches. Book 2 picks up right from the end of book one. If anything i enjoyed this one more than the first. Lady Isra is still in her tower with her lover cloaked with her dark magic away from humans and her enemies, but someone or something manages to get through the enchantment and Isra knows exactly how to manipulate and weave her way out of danger with her sneaky tricks.
Lady Isra opens this book in the arms of Astrid, her lover. He seems to be the touch of light that her dark soul needs. But are his motives as pure they seem?
I liked the voice in this Book 2 better. We get to spend a bit of time as the troll Klinq and with Astrid in his human and raven forms. I enjoyed reading their voices and seeing a bit into what was happening for other characters. Isra has mellowed a touch, and while still hates humans, it is usually circumspectly, from a distance. Everilda is an interesting character, and added some depth to the story. A good tale for Fairy Tale lovers.
Her Blackened Heart is the second book of the five book series Her Dark Spells written by best seller Isra Sravenheart. The book moves quickly through the world of Lady Isra, taking us from all of the settings and scenes in a whirlwind of excitement and rising action. While the ending climax and falling action was very short lived- it did leave me wanting more and wondering just what Isra had in store for the next book. The romance she set between Isra and Astrid in Her Blackened Soul truly came to light and fruition in Her Blackened Heart; and the cliffhanger she left us with at the end of the book definitely has me excited to start book three: Her Blackened Rose!
Lady Istra and Astrid the Raven turned man return in the next installment of this series, they are still living in Lady Isra’s tower and they are each others confidant, friend, lover and a match with regards to the darkness within them, the compliment each other and look out for each other and their combined darkness thrills them both. Although over the last year they have been together, some things have remained the same and others have changed, more shades of deep reds have emerged within the castle and Astrid has become more comfortable changing between his raven and human forms, his abilities in the use of magic have improved and he is able to help Lady Isra more than ever with her plans. After their last encounter with the outside world, Astrid insisted on cloaking the tower with a more powerful spell so that Lady Isra could remain safe and protected from the outside world and although she still enjoyed going for her walks in nature, she agreed to the improved security.
One day, the peace they had sought is broken when an unknown intruder approaches the tower, it is a creature magical in nature, but Lady Isra decides that they may find some use for them and so welcome them into their new home, but only with complete understanding that they aren’t trusted and that they must not reveal their situation to anyone in the outside world, these conditions are agreed on and so are shown to their room and left to settle in. On one of this individual’s first tasks, they are sent into the outside world, where they make a mistake which could cost them dearly in the future, but which brings another individual into the lives of Lady Istra and Astrid. This new person is a good witch called Contessia, she beforend the new arrival and when she goes to seek them out with the information she shouldn’t have been privy to, it leads to circumstances which nobody expected. Contessia is welcomed into the household and makes the acquaintance of Lady Istra and Astrid where she has tea and conversations, however when the day becomes late, she is invited to stay, however, this will be a night Contessia will never forget.
As a new day dawns, Contessia is sure that she has made a mistake entering into this tower, however, she is worried about her friend and is drawn back to the place despite her misgivings, this is where Lady Istra takes her under her tutelage of the dark arts and begins to mold Contessia into a new image. Astrid understands Lady Istra’s reasoning and also partakes in molding this innocent young witch, but in a less friendly manner, however, he isn’t the only one, an old acquaintance of Lady Istra’s, Everilda makes a sudden reappearance in her life, however, the reunion is not a happy one and suspicions reign as to what this person’s intentions are. As Everilda and Lady Istra’s bad blood escalates and Everilda’s motives become clear, an all out war between the two is inevitable, will the use of innocents be one witch’s undoing? Who will come out on top in the end and will there be too much collateral damage to deal with? This is another magical adventure of rivalry, a clashing of past and present as memories and realities combine to create a conclusion which you will not want to miss out on.
Her Blackened Heart is book two of The Blackened series. It follows our main character who is the Villain of the story which provides a unique story line unlike any other. Once again Ms. Sravenheart provides great character description and a much more detailed plot. Her Blackened Soul is the first novel and I wasn’t sure I wanted to continue this story but I’m glad I did because book two had so many twists and turns that it left my head spinning. I’m glad that there is still two books to go in this series because I can’t wait to see what Ms. Sravenheart gives us next.
Her Blackened Heart, book two of The Blackened Series, is the continuing story of Lady Isra. Astrid, the raven, which Isra gave a human body, is now in the business of protecting Isra from anyone who would choose to do her harm. He has cloaked her castle from the view of any human. Unfortunately, magical creatures can still see the castle although they are not able to enter. Contessia, a Wiccan witch, is full of good. She comes to the castle to find her gnome friend. Unfortunately, she meets Lady Isra and becomes trapped.
After beginning this series, I found that I enjoyed the story more this time. Pieces of Lady Isra’s past are revealed in this book. It makes Lady Isra a more intriguing character.
Book 2 in the blackened series was as good, if not better the the first. I was pulled into the tale and loved every minute. I would definitely recommend reading this series in order. Lady Isra and her Raven servant are still in her tower hidden from the world, but a war is looming, will she be able to pull the young girl she met “Contessia“ to the dark side to help them?? Such a great read. I this the author has a unique writing style and should be applauded for her work. I also quite like the fact this story is written from the villains POV, something a little bit different to keep the brain satisfied.
Her Blackened Heart by Isra Sravenheart is my second book by this author and the second book in the Blackened Series. In this book it’s love and light vs the dark. I will always stand by reading the books in order- so, read her blackened soul first. Lady Isra is trying to lead Contessa into the darker side, which is not Contessa’s way. I was interested to see where this book went after the first one. I am curious to see what happens next.

Four Stars
Her Blackened Heart is the second book in the Blackened series by Isra Sravenheart. This book can be read asa standalone, but I recommend you read them in order to understand all of the back story. This story is quite unique as it is told in the POV of the villain, Lady Isra. Astrid, the raven/man servant who is very protective of Lady Isra, is also featured in this book. This book is fast paced and full of action and adventure. It is a story of good versus evil and how there can be a little of both in people. I am thoroughly enjoying this series and can’t wait to see what will happen next.

Her Blackened Heart (The Blackened Series Book 2) by Isra Sravenheart
Her Blackened Heart is the second book in The Blackened Series by Isra Sravenheart. I highly recommend reading the first book in this series if you haven’t already. It’ll give you a better idea of what is going on and help with the characters. I found myself lost in the pages and couldn’t put it down till I finished. The style of writing is unique and keeps your interest. There’s a lot going on but the author did a great job of making it flow so its not so overwhelming The characters are fun and realistic. Lady Isra is back at it and causing problems. Find out what lies ahead for her and Contessa the white witch. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.
Lady Astrid returns! Book 2 in the series gives us more magic, mystery, and slowly unravels this witch’s past. I would 100% recommend reading this in order. This series follows the same characters and has been a fun read. Cannot wait to see what lies ahead for Lady Astrid and her slave.
Her Blackened Heart is the second book in the Blackened series by Isra Sravenheart. The evil Lady Isra is at it again with her companion and lover, Astrid. Can she lead the good witch Contessia astray? What will Isra do about her enemy Everilda?
As with the first book, I still wish it was written in first-person rather than the narrated third-person. Maybe that’s just personal choice as the story is still interesting and has a twist at the end that definitely came out of left field and was unexpected. Like the first, this story ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, so I’m sure we have not seen the end of Lady Isra yet.

4 out of 5 stars
This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Sravenheart and I really enjoyed this story. The characters are amazing and the plot was awesome we have a few twists and turn, revenge, love, deceit, and suspense I cannot wait to read more of this author’s work.
Astrid is a raven turned to a man companion is very protective and deeply in love with Lady Isra. He will do anything to make her happy. Their love is eternal. He has cloaked their home so not a soul can find it.
Lady Isra is a dark witch and a war is coming so when she meets a young girl Contessia she fancies herself having a protege to lead astray. Contessia believes in all that “love and light” stuff. So, will Lady Isra be-able to turn Contessia to the dark side? Can Contessia be lead astray? You will have to red this story to find out….

I give Her Blackened Heart (Blackened Series Book 2) by Isra Sravenheart, 4 stars.
I really enjoy this series, and this book just adds to it. It is like reading a dark, adult fairytale. It picks up where book one left off. We see and learn so much more of Astrid in this. We also meet new characters who happen upon the dark castle they call home. They are all wonderful, you never know who is good or bad, or what exactly they are up to. Then there is the story itself. Again, twists and turns leave you guessing the whole way.
If you grew up loving fairy tales, but now root for the evil queen, this book and series is for you. It can be read as a stand alone, but you will understand more if you read book one first.

Her Blackened Heart (The Blackened Series #2) by Isra Sravenheart
This was a great read. Sravenheart knows how to make a reader want more. This Paranormal will leave you wanting more.
Lady Isra is still in her tower cloaked to keep the humans away. When a gnome is caught snooping around she makes him her slave. He’s to be her eyes and ears for the humans. The quote I chose for Lady Isra is: “It sounds like you met the love and light brigade. They preach peace, love, and goodness. Oh, how it makes me want to vomit.”
Astrid, Lady Idea’s lover, is a raven. He can change into human form as that’s what Isra did for him. He wonders if there is something Lady Isra is hiding. The quote I chose for Astrid is: “I do not believe that, for I see love in you. It’s just shut away behind a great big wall that you have built up yourself. But I— am a raven, and ravens can fly over any wall you build, no matter how high or how wide.”
A highly recommend Paranormal read for anyone!
I am absolutely at a loss for words for this wonderful book! I absolutely loved the first book in this series, and this one is even better! I very much recommend reading them in order! I just love the concept for this book as well, being able to read from the villains point of view! I was absorbed in this book, i just could not put it down until i finished it! This story will definitely get you involved in the emotions and the overall story, captivating you from paragraph to paragraph! I can’t wait to read more from this author!
