Very well written story of love, forgiveness, and grace! After losing his beloved wife, Mason is struggling under a mountain of medical debt (we can all relate to that), being a single father, and trying to keep his ranch running smoothly. When his ex-girlfriend shows back up after 10 years with a twin brother he didn’t even know existed, they had to learn to move past their mistakes and problems and find happiness.
I can’t wait to read the next book and I’m really hoping it’ll be Ryder’s happily ever after!
Great book
She’s back for Christmas but is he ready for that?
Career woman falls in love with widower and child seems to be a common thread in Love Inspired novels, in both the romance and romantic suspense lines, but what isn’t as common is a situation that many people in modern society find themselves in, that of the difficult balance between caring for elderly family members at home or having to take that painful next step and start looking for a care facility. But Jill Kemerer takes that tough topic head on, but with grace and sensitivity, along with grief, unforgiveness, and the need to sometimes rearrange goals and adjust dreams. Yeah, a slim little romance novel really can have all that, and more, within its pages. Her Cowboy Till Christmas may have an exterior that lends itself to believing it’s a simple lightweight romance novel, it’s true that it is a fairly quick and easy read, but don’t be fooled, under the sweet cover is a pretty good book that shouldn’t be missed.

I really enjoyed this Love Inspired Romance by Jill Kemerer. The cover was a magnate that beckoned me to read the book. I’ve read Jill’s Christmas books before and this one certainly didn’t disappoint this reader. The Spirit of Christmas is blended with a tender love story of two lonely people reunited over the holidays.
Mason Fanning has been a widower for the past three years. He’s a single parent to three year old Noah. The death of Mia , his late wife has left him raw with grief and vowing never to betray her memory by falling in love with someone else. Only problem is he’s lonely after three years and feels that beyond his son Noah, that life has little meaning for him.
Brittany Green used to spend her summers with her grandma Nan, in her growing up years. She was a friend of Mason Fanning , her grandma’s neighbors son . As the years went by he became her first love but when Mason wanted her to be his wife she refused his proposal and went off to college in California. Her goal was to have a career as a dancer and there wasn’t an opportunity to achieve that in the little town of Rendezvous Wyoming.
That’s why years later Mason was surprised to find Brittany on his doorstep . She wasn’t alone either. She bought with her someone who rocked his world and changed his life as he knew it. Brittany was the last person he wanted to see or have waltzing back into his life. He just wanted to be left alone to grieve the loss of his wife and raise Noah his son.
All readers of Christian Fiction, contemporary romance and Love Inspired books will want to make this story a part of their Christmas reading . I highly recommend it for your reading pleasure.

Her Cowboy Till Christmas
Wyoming Sweethearts
By: Jill Kemerer
*REVIEW*
I love Christmas stories, especially when short and sweet, like Her Cowboy Till Christmas was. Mason is a widow raising a three year old son. My heart hurts for them. A girl who broke his heart years ago is back in town, much to Mason’s surprise. Brittany is back for Christmas, but she’s not staying. Mason harbors some bad feelings toward Brittany. A reunion doesn’t seem likely, but circumstances change, and life never goes to plan. Will Brittany and Mason have a second chance at love? I really enjoyed this story because it was sad but sweet, and it highlights the way life is something you cannot control, plus things often turn out different from expectations. The characters are genuine, relatable and likeable. This story is definitely a great choice for a little Christmas romance. I look forward to reading more from Jill Kemerer.
Jill Kemerer is an author I can count on to give me heartfelt, small town reads. Her Cowboy Till Christmas jump starts her Wyoming Sweethearts series and is everything I expected wrapped up in some holiday cheer.
Mason and Brittany have a history. One that Mason has done his best to forget but as a widower who is missing someone to share life with and a three-year-old to care for, the last thing he needs is the surprise Brittany shows up on his doorstep with.
I loved the message of this story—that our identity is not found in our successes, failures, jobs, or works and sometimes it’s time to let go of chasing a dream in order to let another one in.
Kemerer introduces some side characters I’m hoping get to step into the spotlight in this series. This is definitely a feel-good read that will put you in the holiday spirit.

Jill Kemerer begins the new Wyoming Sweethearts series with Her Cowboy Till Christmas. Who doesn’t love a good Cowboy? Mason is a single dad with a little boy who is struggling in many ways after the death of his wife. Who should show up in his life but Brittany Green, the girl who once broke his heart! Of all things, she appears on his porch with another man, but one who looks just like Mason!!
As with Kemerer’s other Love Inspired books, this story contains a sweet romance. Mason and Brittany are characters that the reader wants to cheer on to their happily-ever-after. They have both wrestled with hurt and failure. Will this time be any different? The secondary characters of Ryder, Noah, and Nan in this book are wonderful additions to the story. Kemerer creates a setting that draws the reader in and makes you want to be a part!
I definitely recommend this book for readers who enjoy a heart-warming romance set around the holidays!

This was my first book of Kemerer’s to read, but her tenth (10th) with the Love Inspired line by Harlequin. This also serves as the first in the #WyomingSweethearts series.
“Her Cowboy Till Christmas” is a holiday/Christmas read that takes place in the small town of Rendezvous, Wyoming.
At the center of this story of forgiveness, redemption, and second chances – is Brittany Green. She had once been involved with Mason Fanning back when they were kids. Now Mason is a widow and a single father to Noah.
Brittany shows up in Rendezvous for two reasons – to introduce Mason to Ryder, the twin brother he didn’t know about, and to check in on her grandma – “Nan”. She’s also thinking about moving her grandmother to California which bothers Mason. And, Brittany considers it more and more when she sees her Nan’s decline in several aspects of her life.
When Brittany shows up, Mason feels those old feelings for her, and she for him. But, he refuses to move forward despite it being three (3) years since Mia’s health-related death. And, he makes it clear to Brittany there is no room in his life for her. He wants to keep Mia’s memory alive.
Despite what he says, Mason can’t deny the feelings for the first girl who broke his heart. Brittany becomes torn between praying for the loan she needs to make her dreams come true out in California; and staying in Rendezvous where her dreams might be. She also hasn’t forgotten what her mother had said about the small town – it was a dream killer.
Mason’s journey is complicated – the arrival of Brittany, still reeling with the grief of losing his wife, along with finding the truth about his twin and their parents. In addition he is dealing with a complicated issue that no one knows about.
As with the usual Harlequin “story of the month” – this is a heart-warming story with a happy ending. The characters were realistically written, some to the point where I was in tears. Mason’s loss and conflict was gut-wrenching, and Brittany’s own conflict was heart-breaking.
Kemerer’s beautiful and vivid writing tugs at the heart and doesn’t let go. While there were parts (and characters) that were frustrating, I held out hope for the couple.
I read this in about two days, but I’d say closer to eight (8) hours as they were two “4-hour” readings. Definitely a quick weekend read. Short on time, but long on lasting memories. There were light “Christian” and faith tones throughout the book which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the other characters mentioned in this novel and am looking forward to the next books in the Wyoming Sweethearts series.
I can always count on Jill Kemerer for a charming, heart-warming, inspirational story, and Her Cowboy Till Christmas is no exception. Set in rural Wyoming and populated with realistic and engaging characters, this sweet Christmas tale wormed its way into my heart. I found myself hurting with Mason and rooting for him to find happiness, while hoping that Brittany could find contentment and love with the tender-hearted cowboy. Kemerer is a fantastic writer who pens easy-to-read and easy-to-love inspiring stories. I’m eagerly awaiting her next one!

‘I’m just saying talking about the good times hurts less than trying to forget them.’
Jill Kemerer starts off a new series with a precious story about a widowed cowboy with a three year old son. Mason Fanning is simply getting through life because he has not felt joy since his wife died. Then one day an old girlfriend, Brittany Green, shows up in town with a surprise. She ran out on Mason ten years ago and he wishes she would just go on back where she came from. Brittany has been chasing her dreams for the last decade but does she dare to believe that just maybe her dreams lie here in this small town in Wyoming?
Once again, Jill Kemerer proves she can write a cowboy story very well indeed. And I love her cowboy books! Her characters are well fleshed out and her locales are perfect! I want to visit the towns she writes about. We also get a glimpse of folks whom (I hope) her next stories in the series will be about. I can’t wait to read them all! I am a huge fan! Recommended.
*My thanks to the publisher and author for a preview copy of this book. The opinion here is entirely my own.
What a heartwarming story! Family secrets and past love interests bring people together in unusual ways.
