Lori has always admired Trip but he made it clear years ago that he wasn’t interested in her as more than a friend. Now, he sticking close and she’s finding it hard to concentrate on the danger and not the man.
Can love blossom between them before time runs out?

What’s not to love…Cowboys, ranch life, intrigue and a bit of danger all wrapped into a great read!
It was too redundant. I kept reading the same thing over and over and over again.
I found a lot to like about this story.
First, there’s a well developed second chance romance. At first, Trip and Lori are tiptoeing around the elephant in the room, but I appreciate how she is willing to ask the hard questions.
Second, there’s a great suspense / who-did-it story of stolen animals. It’s like a great western of the past where the heroes step up to the challenge and save the day and the villains are truly bad.
These two themes combine into a story that will keep you engaged to the end.
Romance – PG / kissing
Language – PG / nothing offensive
Violence – PG13 – there are a few tense scenes when the bad guys are involved.
My rating – 5 stars
I love all of Debra Clopton’s books.
4 stars
I purchased a copy of the clean contemporary western short romance novel Her Cowboy Hero (Cowboys of Ransom Creek Book 1): Trip by Debra Clopton and this review was given freely.
Action packed with interesting characters, a rocky romance, sabotage, some rustlers and a wonderful family of protective cowboys. Foreman of the Calhoun Ranch, Trip Jensen enlists the help of the neighboring Presley brothers and the Knight Agency in order to protect the woman he has always loved, rodeo bronc supplier and his boss, Lori Calhoun when her ranch is targeted by rustlers. Close proximity makes it hard for Trip and Lori to resist each other leading to them finally communicating and a happy ending.
Lori a rodeo bronc supplier is taking over after the sudden death of her father. Trip is the Forman of the Calhoun Ranch and has been working for her father. Interesting plot between the two of them and the challenges of a woman as a boss, unresolved cildhood issues and missing broncs.
Enjoyable
Another wonderful book from Debra. I loved this story and how it brings in family, ranching a love. But gives you a chance to look at some of the other characters and links.
Even though this was a relatively short story, it was still long enough to get to know the main characters, Lori Calhoun and Trip Jensen, and also their neighbors, the Presley family. While Lori and Trip have known each other most of their lives, she thought he wasn’t interested in her romantically. But will things change when her father dies and she returns to the ranch? Really enjoyed all of the characters. If you are looking for a quick romantic lead with plenty of cowboys, I would highly recommend this book.
The heroine is trying to make the ranch a success, after her father’s death, but her star broncs disappear. The Knight Agency is asked to investigate. When more stock disappears, the foreman seeks to assist her and asks the brothers from neighboring ranch to assist. Eventually, the culprit is discovered, an angry man who feels that the land should belong to him.
Her Cowboy Hero is the thirteenth book in the Rodeo Knights series. Both Lori and Trip left the Calhoun Ranch and both have now returned. When he was offered the position of foreman, Trip came back to buy into the rough stock part of the ranch. Lori returned to take over after her father’s death. Now with cattle going missing, they need to work together to figure out what is happening. I enjoyed their story, and I definitely recommend this book.
