A billionaire bull rider and the pretty country music singer he’s boarding with…Can they make the best of a difficult situation and find love this Christmas?Todd Christopherson has just retired from the professional rodeo circuit and returned to his hometown of Coral Canyon. Problem is, he’s got no family there anymore, no land, and no job. Not that he needs a job–he’s got plenty of money from … plenty of money from his illustrious career riding bulls. But when his old friend, Graham Whittaker, offers him the opportunity to work on the ranch, Todd takes it.
The work comes with a place to stay at Whiskey Mountain Lodge, where a beautiful country singer, Violet Everett, is living as she works out some kinks in her career. The last thing Vi wants is a permanent resident at the lodge–it messes with her muse–but Todd is tall, handsome, and good in the kitchen. Besides, she doesn’t own the lodge, so she doesn’t really have a say about who stays there.
Then Todd gets thrown during a routine horseback ride up the canyon, and his only support as he recovers physically is Vi. She’s no nurse, but she does the best she can for the handsome cowboy. Will she lose her heart to the billionaire bull rider? Can Todd trust that God led him to Coral Canyon…and Vi?

I really enjoyed this story about Todd, a retired 6 time world championship bull rider and Vi, a multi-platinum country music recording artist. After 20 years of riding bull with no broken bones, Todd was thrown by a gentle horse who got spooked and he broke both legs; Vi became his caregiver. That was the main plot but the backstory was dealing with anger in an appropriate way instead of letting it fester and affect yourself and others. This book held my interest from beginning to end and I highly recommend it! I was entrusted with a copy of the book by the author and this is my voluntary and honest review.
Always a great book written by this suthor
I had a free copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Great series by Liz Isaacson and this book is no exception. The main character has an accident with a horse right after quitting the rodeo circuit, and breaks both legs causing him to rely on others for assistance. The plot revolves around him and a singing star who takes care of him. His feelings about his past and the way his parents treated him also cause problems until he figures out how to forgive and move ahead.
The hardship that Todd goes through in this book and the way that it affects his and Vi’s relationship was really well done. I really enjoyed getting to know these characters and I can’t wait to see what Isaacson has come up with for Rose!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
One of the things I like the best about the Christmas in Coral Canyon books is the emotional depth portrayed in them. It was very easy to sense their emotions as Vi and Todd experienced them; worry, frustration, hope – a full spectrum of feelings to process. I love how realistically their relationship is presented to us. They’re both intrigued with one another, but there aren’t necessarily instant sparks. We get to witness Todd and Vi fall in love with one another and work through all the difficulties that come with trying to blend your life with that of another person. I look forward to my next visit back to Coral Canyon.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.
Another great book by one of my favorite authors. I’m really enjoying this series and loved Amber and Lance’s story. I enjoyed the catch up on the past characters. I look forward to the next book in the series.
I loved this sweet romantic story of two people with complicated pasts but with a deep love for each other.
Really enjoyed this book…in fact this whole series.
MARVELOUS SERIES
What do you do on a perfectly nasty, rainy, windy day (think scuba gear over hip waders for going outside ;-P) when you don’t have to go ANYWHERE? Especially when you have just downloaded ALL of the Christmas in Coral Canyon books onto your kindle app… =) You binge-read the entire series! I’ve fallen in love with all of the characters-their strong, and sometimes not so strong, faith, their care of family and the understanding that family isn’t always people with whom you are related. What started out as a dreary day, has be a joyous time of meeting ‘new friends’ and watching them grow in their faith and fall in love. *Sigh 🙂 It’s been a LOVELY day!
Violet and Todd are both struggling with what to do next – career wise and personally. Loved the chemistry between these two. Todd – UGH – with his mood swings was too much. I understand he had family issues – oh boy did he but to take it out on Violet made me upset. Violet was my hero when she finally said “enough”. Loved the ending and how Todd was pretty romantic. Really sweet romance.
Todd has retired from bull riding, and went to his home town. But all his family have moved away. He is offered a job by an old friend, but is hurt soon after taking the job. Violet is staying at the lodge for a while to decide what her future holds, and ends up playing nursemaid. The story is funny, heart-warming, and has some great characters. I highly recommend it! (I received an advance review copy of this book from the author. The opinions in this review are completely my own.)
I enjoyed this sweet story in which both the of the main characters are struggling with the direction that they want their lives to go in next. I was glad when Violet finally had enough of Todd’s mood swings as that lead him to actually deal with what he thought was issues with his family.
Another excellent story in the Christmas in Coral Canyon series. When Todd meets Violet there is an instant attraction. But then Todd is hurt and Violet takes care of him which doesn’t set well with someone who is very independent. It takes Violet leaving for Todd to realize that he has to resolve things from his past before he can commit to a relationship and be the man that she deserves. It takes forgiveness, faith and some time for that to happen. Don’t miss this sweet romance by Liz Isaacson!
This story shows how even celebrities have a dark side that can bring them lots of grief if not handled properly. Liz Isaacson has a flair with writing to make you feel you are right there experiencing the trials and tribulations the characters in the story are. You laugh with them, you cry with them and you pull for a happy ending. But sometimes it does not come easily and this story is proof of that. Sometimes we think that celebrities have a perfect life with all their money but money cannot buy love or a good night sleep unless they get their lives right and in this story both Todd and Vi believed in the healing power of the Lord to bring that to them over time. And the one thing that they learned was that we have to learn to forgive others to get that healing feeling and ask for forgiveness when we have caused the injury to another. Well worth your time to read!
Liz Isaacson has got another winner! Her Cowboy Billionaire Bull Rider is a well-written, clean romance. Todd and Violet make a great couple although they have to work through some of their own issues to be that couple. I love how their faith is just a natural part of the story. The setting is a small town near the Tetons. The plot has some twists and turns and is paced well for this story. The dialogue flows naturally. I recommend this story to clean/wholesome romance readers and to Christian romance readers. I received an ARC. I chose to write a review and share my opinion.
