Her Cowboy Billionaire Bad Boy, Christmas At Whiskey Mountain Lodge, A Hammond Brothers Novel, Book 5. This is Ames and Sophia’s story. Like each of his brothers he made a mess of things and almost lost her. But, with 4 sister-in-laws on his back and 4 brothers determined to make him see what he was giving up, he had to make some type of change in his life. He couldn’t understand what putting their life on pause meant. He couldn’t work on his certification for the K-9 dogs and carry on a long distance romance. Sophia also had decided either she made a move at Christmas or lose what Ames and her had. This story also allows us to meet Katie, Annie and Colton’s adopted daughter and Easton, Wes and Bree’s second son. We find out that Cy and Patsy was holding a secret that they would be having their first child in a few months and we find out that Grams went to her eternal home in her sleep that left a whole at the wedding. Sophia was able to get both of her parents at the wedding. She had started building a relationship with her mother and they were getting closer. 15 years without family felt so much better with the Hammond family, Whittaker family, and her mother getting closer to her. Wyatt, Marcy and their 3 boys meant so much to Sophia after her being their nanny one summer. Ames could not wait till they had a family after watching Sophia with the boys. He wanted what his brothers had, a loving wife and children. And with Sophia agreeing to help him run the K-9 academy their life was finally lined up for a happily after after.
I love all of Liz’s books. She has a way with words.
Bad boy Ames is really a softy. It is his attitude that makes him seem like a bad boy. He is the last one of the brothers to marry and it is upsetting to him. He left his job as a policeman and does not know what to do with his life.
He had met Sophia Cooke during the fall when he was in Coral Canyon but he never called her after he left to go back home. Neither one was willing to relocate.
Ames accidently mails his thumb to the wall and has no family or anyone to help him. He runs into Sophia in the drugstore as he was trying to buy bandages.
Theirs is an on again off again romance.
I recommend this book to anyone who likes good clean reading.
Story line is great and I loved the characters. I really enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend it! Unexpected twists and turns had me reading this book in one sitting. Great storyline and character development made this book a hot and enjoyable read!
ARC for honest review with no compensation 4.5 stars
Her Cowboy Billionaire Bad Boy: Hammond Brothers is book 5 in the Christmas at Whiskey Mountain Lodge series by Liz Isaacson. Does the final Hammond brother find love in Coral Canyon?
Last up is Ames and Sophia, had a fling, he wanted her to move…she said no…end of story? Not by a long shot..
Trust, family and love issues, speaking up, push and pull, finding where they fit in, together or not and maybe a second chance at forever…
I really enjoyed reading this book! I enjoy reading about what he could do with the dogs! Both of the stars of the story had issues to work out before realizing they were in love! I recommend this book to anyone who loves romance!
The last Hammond brother finds love! Ames is feeling left out as all of his brothers are now happily married and he is alone. Sophia and Ames have a past but neither was very good at the relationship. It is time for Ames to decide how to use his inheritance but he doesn’t have a clue what to do. You will enjoy reading about this rich boy who tries to be a bad boy to cover his insecurities. Canines play a big part in this book so dog lovers won’t want to miss it. I received a complimentary e-book from the author. This is my honest opinion.
This is my first time reading something by this author. This was an entertaining and enjoyable read. Ames and Sophia were great characters and I couldn’t help but feel bad for them. They had some tough challenges in their journey and had a lot of hurdles to face before reaching their HEA. The story was well-written and flowed nicely. The plot was interesting and had some plot twists and turns that made this an interesting and intriguing story. The characters were strong and well-developed and had great chemistry. The author did a nice job of bringing this story to life with her vivid descriptions and well-developed scenes. I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading more by this author.

This last novel in a series continues to inspire those of us who need inspiration in this chaotic world. As she does in all her books, the author presents the nuances of the main characters and makes their actions realistic. This could be a stand-alone, but I recommend starting with the first in the series. An excellent and engaging clean, romantic novel.
The Hammond family always stick together no matter what they are going through. I love this story of Ames Hammond ,a former police officer, quit his job and was looking for something to do with his life. He was ready to marry and settle down. Sophie met him at his brother’s wedding and they couldn’t seem to work things out between them. This series is clean and we’ll written. The whole family believes in God and puts him first. I received an ARC of this book and I highly recommend reading this book.
When personal issues and insecurities threaten a budding relationship what will happen?
Ames likes rules. He follows rules. Rules are dependable and don’t require you to think. Ames also likes dogs and they like him. Dogs let you know what they need. They respond to training and act as they have been taught to. People are not as easy, especially women so Ames tends to be grumpy around others and stay away from women. But now he has met Sophia. Sophia is determined not to get become involved with a Hammond brother like her friends have. Then Ames enters her life and she finds that behind his gruff exterior is a good heart that cares for others, family, dogs and her. But Sophia has been disappointed by the people in her life, especially her family, and is not sure she really wants Ames around. Ames is not sure he wants to be involved with Sophia especially when she wants decisions about the future. Both pull away from each other but both are drawn strongly to each other. Can they overcome their own issues and accept the other’s issues or will they drift apart? I was given a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
This is book five of the Hammond Brothers: Christmas at Whiskey Mountain Lodge series and this book concentrates on the life of Ames Hammond. He is a little bit lost, after giving up his job as a cop some months beforehand, without telling any of his brothers, not even his twin Cy. He had been seeing a woman called Sophia for a few weeks over the Christmas period, but neither of them were willing to relocate to the others state and were both settled and had reasons to stay where they were. He said he would keep in touch when they split up, but he never did, believing it pointless to do so. He likes routine and organization, which made him love being a cop, but he was working to many hours and nobody wanted to date a cop! He feels he is a failure, wasting away his two billion dollar inheritance, as he hasn’t found his true calling and something to spend this money on, unlike all of his brothers. It doesn’t help that his twin is getting married and now he will be the last unmarried one of all the brothers!
After breaking the news to his family that he had left his job months before, he left the brother he was living with and helping out on his ranch, to go and live in a completely different state, where the Hammond name was unknown, and working part time as a simple cowboy on a ranch. He bought an old house and was midway through doing a complete renovation on it, when he accidently nailed his thumb to his new kitchen units! Finding he didn’t have any proper medical supplies, he had to drive off to the centre of Three Rivers, to find some. With one thumb wrapped in a towel, he is finding it difficult to pick up and hold any items he needs and ends up dropping them all when he is surprised by the sight of the last person he would ever have expected to see, Sophia!
She is in Three Rivers to be a nanny to Marcy and Wyatt Walker’s children and help them with their move to Coral Canyon. She will then be a nanny to them for the summer, whilst still working at the lodge and is enjoying the change in her life. She is hurt and annoyed that he has bought a home in a different state, after making so much of his refusal to move from where he was. But, she also realises that she still has feelings for him, as he does for her. But Ames has a serious problem with showing any sort of emotion or even feeling anything like any other person. In that, he is quite like his young nephew Hunter, who after a childhood trauma, started therapy when he wasn’t sure if he liked kissing a girl or not. Don’t worry, he has found out that he does! Ames doesn’t like to say he will do anything, unless he is positive that he will do it, he doesn’t do maybes.
This makes what happens next, as they try to see if they might still have a chance together, extremely difficult and almost impossible. Their previous relationship ended up in an impasse, with neither willing to accommodate the wishes of the other. Whether this happenstance meeting between these two will go anywhere this time round, will depend on a lot of factors and a willingness to accommodate changes. Finally discovering what he wants to use his inheritance for, will bring Ames some satisfaction, but he still wants love, marriage and children, which he can’t do alone. Another great story in this series. If you have read any of the other books, you know the characters well and have already heard parts of the story from others. What you get this time, is the actual full story of the Ames and Sophia, and all the hurdles they have to overcome, if they are ever to have a life together in the end. A quick read, even if over three hundred pages, as you are swept away into the storyline and love story. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
I fell in love with Ames and Sophia and I like how the author brought them back together for a second chance at love. From the well developed characters to the well written, heartwarming story that flowed smoothly this is a great read. This was my first book by Liz Isaacson and I look forward to reading more books by this author in the future.
A cowboy billionaire who’s rough around the edges, the woman he ghosted last Christmas, and their second chance at happily-ever-after.
A great story with emotions, action, thrills, passion and romance and of course a cowboy. What more could you want? Fantastic, well developed characters you’ll easily fall in love with. The story line flows smoothly through the pages and captures your attention. A wonderful second chance romance that’s a heartwarming read.

Really enjoyed this action packed and emotionally thrilling journey filled with interesting and engaging charters, witty dialog, heart racing twists and exciting passion. Was a great read from beginning to end.
Sophia loves Coral Canyon. Ames loves Colorado. Neither is willing to move to be together. And neither is interested in a long-distance relationship. He ghosts her after a brief fling when he’s in Coral Canyon to support his twin brother, Cy. When Ames quits his job on the police force in Littleton, he heads for Three Rivers, TX, and runs into Sophia. Ames is having trouble deciding where he should be and what he should be doing. Sophia loves her job at the resort, and the friends she’s made in Coral Canyon. These two are stubborn and insecure, and suffer from a serious lack of communication. But these traits make them into real people, flawed and yet lovable, not picture perfect but just like our real life friends and family.I love the relationships in the Hammond family. The brothers tease and poke fun at each other, but at the same time, offer total support and unconditional love within their extended family. I’m sorry that Sophia doesn’t have this closeness within her family. It was a hard road for them to find their happiness, but a story worth telling and reading.

Liz Isaacson has written a 5-star book. Sophie and Ames had been together for a few weeks when he went back home. He wanted her to move to his home town and she wanted him to move to her’s but they neither one would do it. Ames is the only one out of his brothers that is still single and he is not happy about that. He thinks about Sophie a lot. He tells his family that he is moving to Texas to take another job but it falls through before he gets there but he moves anyway. He is working on his fixer-upper house when he gets hurt and he thinks he can take care of it himself. He goes to the store to get the things he thinks he needs when he hears a voice that he knows. He looks and it is Sophie standing behind him. She looks at him and sees that he is hurt and tells him she is taking him to the hospital. After that, they start seeing each other and things go well for them until he decides he wants to train police K-9’s. He would have to go to North Carolina to take all the courses he would need to take and be gone for 9 months. He asks Sophie to go with him but she tells him that she won’t go. She said that she lived in North Carolina and she promised that she would never go back there. As Ames is working on his dog training things with him and Sophie grow distant. She finds out that he is going to be in town for the holidays and he did not ask her to go with him to his brothers with him. She thinks that this is his way of telling her that he is done with her. All of Ames’s family Is upset with him over Sophie and the way he has treated her. He needs to find a way to make things up with her and he gets one of his brothers to help him.
Can Ames get Sophie to forgive him or will she walk away from him?
Can Sophie get Ames to forgive her for the way she has refused to go with him to North Carolina?
