ONE AMAZING JOURNEY!!!
Holy Crap! Fireworks ain’t got nothing on this baby. Fiona showcases one refreshing spin on this bad boy and nailed it 100% on point with such realism it thrust this baby to life beautifully. The main female character let’s loose all that sass, fire and intrigue that blows this baby wide open with such sincerity, passion and finesse it just leaves me in awe. Twists and turns abound with a multitude of mishaps while balancing on a double edge sword as all the thrills and spills come blazing through. The main characters are stretched to unbelievable limits that keep you grappling, melding this baby together piece after piece seemlessly. The characters are authentic, impressive and realistic with such depth and individuality it feels like you’re part of the story instead of sidelined. Fantastic job Fiona, thanks for sharing this with us
The storyline was okay. A bit predictable but still okay. What wasn’t okay was the poor sentence structure and lack of editing throughout the book. Simple mistakes like “Het met Iain?” Instead of “He met Iain?” to more complex errors. Eventually I ended up skimming a lot of the text because I got tired of trying to figure out which words didn’t belong. And reading the same turn of phrase over and over and over again was disappointing. I’ll be happy never to see the phrase “if so much as a hair on Amelia’s blonde head is harmed” again.
I loved the story
This book would have been much easier to read with proper editing. It definitely needs a good editor, someone who knows proper usage of punctuation as well as proper word usage. Software programs for spellchecking and grammar usage just don’t do the job. The errors really slowed my progress through the book and took away from the enjoyment of reading it because I had to stop and figure out what the author was trying to say/.
Very enjoyable read!
Fun to read.
Honestly, I did not finish reading this book. It seems well written but I had difficulty getting my reading head into the book. Maybe need to give it a second try?
The characters were well developed and true to life. The connection the main characters had with each other was realistic as was the skepticism of family members As to the true nature of that relationship. There was also enough danger to keep the reader interested. Friendship and trust were tested.
The vast number of coincidences that occurred throughout the book to this couple was a bit unrealistic.
It was a fast and very enjoyable read.
Easy, enjoyable read.
Good dialogue. The ending could have taken longer to resolve.
did not like…..
Good read.
Wonderfully written
The Story didn’t flow well, I had a hard time reading the Book, with all the Scottish Gaelic words made the Characters appear illiterate.
There wew no references in the Book as to the meaning of these words.
There were so many Spelling errors & sentences (words) repeated in the same paragraph.
Amelia continued to question herself in regards to him wanting her especially after he tells her she is his & how he wants to court & marry her albeit they have Sex (make Love) during their their Journey.
It got to the point where it became tedious & boring I couldn’t handle it & had to stop reading.
I came back a couple months later & tried again with the Intent to try & finish with no avail.
It got worse. I ended up skipping pages & just couldn’t finish reading the Book.
I truly tried to finish the Book, it just didn’t work out.
A woman secretly looking for a lost family member, a man trying to escape from prison giving up his freedom to save her life, their meeting again four years later and him helping on her quest, an insane madman trying to kill her, confrontation – her stories are evolving into wonderful reads
I fell in love with the character’s in this book, and the storyline kept me glued to my tablet till the end.
This story made me laugh, cry and even giggle!I
I have enjoyed reading alot of Fiona Faris books but this one made my heart smile!
Gavin and Amelia’s story is gutwrenching and when you think all is lost things take a sharp turn, and that’s where you get the heartwarming part. I’m not big into battle scenes, but I must admit the last battle was glorious and it held me spellbound waiting for the next cut or blow! I was entranced by the simplicity and the intricacy of the battle. The author is a bit of a fox, with the extended epilogue teasing and new and old characters turning up, and another exciting story waiting to unfold! Kudos!
The third book in the Highlanders of Cadney series a great storyline that held my interest throughout. This is Gavin MacGille and Amelia Pearson’s story about all the things Gavin has to overcome because of his capture. I will be reading this book again at a later time.
I loved this book. It was unpredictable and very intriguing. I loved the characters and the way they flowed throughout the storyline. Amelia was fierce.
