One of the best book I have read in this period of time.Really good and exciting to read,I didn’t wannat to let my phone down because I wanted to see what will happen next.I recommend that book 10000%.
What a wonderful story. I loved it. The characters were fantastic, had unique personalities and each offered something essential to the story. It also touched upon the subject of PTSD for our hero and how the comfort and the security of the heroine helped him on his path to healing. Several of the characters are from the author’s previous books of the hero’s family. It was nice to keep up with what was going on in their lives. There were enough subplots that kept the story interesting and made it a page turner. I highly recommend this book.
Once again Fiona Faris has excelled in her storytelling. Another realistic story of danger, separation and reunion and ultimately love that conquers all.
I always enjoy Fiona’s books. She brings the characters alive and you can’t help but experience their feelings of triumph, heartbreak and pain.
Fiona Faris remains the Queen of Scottish Love Stories.
I love historical romances about the Scottish highlands . This book exceeded my expectations. The two main characters, Amelia and Gavin, provide an entertaining read that keeps you hooked until the wee hours. I couldn’t put it down I til I finished it. The author, Fiona Faris, is one of my favorites and I recommend any of her books to the historical romance afficianado. Go ahead and get Her Broken Highlander; you won’t regret it.
Amelia meets Gavin when he saved her life…but he was arrested in the aftermath. For four long years Amelia had been searching for her baby brother but often thinking of the handsome highlander who had saved her. Four years later she arrives at Cadney Castle meeting her brother-in-law Lucas, Laird of Cadney and reuniting with her sister Ella. As she settles in she comes face to face with the handsome highlander who had saved her. They bond and when Amelia is captured by the mad Laird of Cabduh can he once again save her? Follow their journey to see how it ends….
I’ve read several Fiona Faris books and this is easily my favorite. Her characters come to life and bring the reader along in the story. Gavin and Amelia are strong, passionate characters. Their story not only shows the love that grows between them but their flaws and fears as well. The dangers they face keep the intensity of the story moving along with their growing romance. The large cast of characters are also well-developed and bring so much depth to the story. Highly recommend!
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily providing an honest review.
In 1689, Gavin MacGille planned an escape from the English prison with Tristan. It would have worked for Gavin but he got distracted. He had to save her. The beautiful woman would play on his mind for the next four years as he is being beaten and tortured in the dungeons of Perth.
Amelia has lied to her sister about her whereabouts for the past four years. Searching for the secret that her father told her on his death bed.
When Amelia visits her sister she is taken back when she runs into Gavin having a PTSD episode. Four years later there is still a magnetic pull between them.
When danger strikes Gavin and Amelia must flee or die.
Her Broken Highlander is an action packed story filled with mystery, suspense and romance.
I loved the Scottish language that the highlanders spoke. A must read.
I really became immersed in this book and the characters of Gavin and Amelia. I also liked that we essentially got two romance books in one with Amelia’s sister Ella. With an amazing epilogue too! I do love great epilogues!
The best book I have read so far by this author. And they have all been good!
