This was such a fun read. Looking forward to more in the series!
This was a freebie series starter, and I really liked it! Pilar gives her notice, and her boss takes that as his cue to tell her he’s been in love with her for years. As Pilar does her best to finish raising her younger brother after their parents’ deaths, she is finally ready to do something for herself. With plans to finish her degree and send her brother off to college wobbling, she appreciates Benedict stepping in to help out. I think the cutest part of this book is the fact that Benedict does his best to fix everything for everyone else without feeling like he has a stick up his butt. Looking forward to the rest of the series!
nice quick read
A woman who wants more and the man who wants her – they have worked together for five years but what does the future hold in store for them? Both have troubled and troublesome younger brothers they are trying to deal with while coming to terms with the chemistry they have been dodging for years. Both are responsible putting family first. Benedict is all that a woman might look for not only in fantasies but in real life and Pilar is a woman who knows her own mind and is willing to go after what she wants.
This is the first book in a new contemporary series that deals with the offspring of characters Ms. Turner wrote about in the historical series, Las Morenas. This series is steamier and more explicit than the Las Morenas series but just as well written. I look forward to finding out what will happen to Benedict, Pilar and their families as this series continues.
I should have looked at how many pages this was before I started it. E-books are the same thickness, not matter the number of pages. There was not enough character development for me. However, it was a very sexy book!
Never knew what to expect! Held my attention well.
Fast read. Read it overnight…couldn’t put it down. Will read the entire series. This author much better writer than some of the other romance writers.
Very enjoyable
This book was an easy read. It was pretty predictable after the first few pages but that was okay for me. Sometimes I need a piece of fluff. I don’t think the sex was vulgar. It was on level for the storyline of this book. The hero was someone I wish existed in real life, being rich isn’t important but wanting to take care of someone just because they love them.
This is the first book that I have read by this author. IMHO, it was okay. Pretty far fetched premise. I liked the characters, but nothing was outstanding. If you are wanting some fluff to read, this book fills the need.
good read and pace
Quick read – a good way to spend an evening even though it was predictable.
Quick and easy read, but hard to set aside.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book.
This story is more complicated than this simplistic title implies. Benedict being the oldest brother of a billion dollar ranching enterprise has been working 5 years with his admin in a very harmonious daily relationship. Neither wants the other to know that each has been in love growing during those 5 years. It’s really fun to see the love story evolve with two guarded people. I like to learn something as I read a love story. In this instance we learn this industry of bull raising to be trained for the rodeo circuit. Very informative. That bull just does not buck, twist, and dip for the fun of it. They are trained to do that from the earliest time of just being able to walk up the ramp into a trailer to the choreography of the actual maneuvering in the ring trying to throw that rider. Loved the book and the next one in the series.
Loved all the characters and couldn’t put it down.
Ok. Not my favorite
Vulgar! I stopped reading after the first chapter.
unrealistic and predictable, sorry
easy to read
