ROFUSFrom the moment I saw her, I knew I couldn’t let her go.For a decade I’d stayed secluded, my appearance and attitude frightening people, keeping them away. But I’d come to like that, grow stronger from it. And then she came into my life, a spitfire of a woman who challenged me and showed no fear.I should have sent her away for her own good, but I was too selfish to let her go.I wanted her as … let her go.
I wanted her as mine even though I didn’t deserve her.
BRITTA
I should have been afraid when he said I was his.
His heart had grown hard and cold, his isolation making him hate the world. He thought people should fear him because of the scars he bore, but I found beauty in them. I was just the housekeeper, but I couldn’t help how I felt for him.
Maybe he was a beast, a vicious animal hidden under a hard, powerful body. Maybe I should have run, but I knew he’d come for me, find me. Deep down, where I couldn’t lie, I wanted him to be mine.
And that frightened me most of all.
Warning: This is a sweet, fast retelling of Beauty and the Beast. But this isn’t the fairy tale you heard long ago. It’s packed full of hot, dirty bits that’ll make you squirm while you’re reading it. Don’t worry; it’s got that sticky-sweet Happily Ever After we all crave.

This was a terrific short retelling of Beauty and the Beast. I enjoyed the flow of the story and the characters were great. Chapter 6 really kicked things up a notch and I was ready for the heat!
I always enjoy Snow’s books and the variety of genres that she writes.
A Tale of Desire & Need Filled, Insta-everything too Yummy to Ignore…
“Her Beauty, His Beast” is a down and dirty, quick and flirty retelling of Beauty and the Beast as only Jenika Snow can tell it!
The story of Rofus Foxwerth, a thirty-five year old reclusive business tycoon, horribly disfigured and purposely isolated after a gruesome car accident a decade ago. A ruthless businessman called “the beast” because of his fierce hatred of people, and business politics. And his polar opposite Britta, a soft spoken, twenty-five year old lovely, all alone in the world, extremely down on her luck and about to be homeless. Who, out of desperation, answers a newspaper ad for a housekeeper for the Foxwerth estate.
What follows is an over-the-top, mega alpha driven, tale of desire and need filled, insta-everything! This book drips emotion off of every page. Snow’s prose within this novella is so saturated with lonely angst, you can almost feel Rofus’ eyes boring holes into your own neck as he stares at Britta from afar. So powerful are her descriptions of Britta’s uneasy anticipation, you feel the intensity of her trepidation in your own gut.
And while I normally love the length of which Snow traditionally keeps her story shorts. Here, with this book, I longed for more. I needed more. I needed more of their emotional dance as she longs for him and he fears to love her. I yearned for an expanded look at the time between when they lose all resolve and descend into love and the epilogue. I can honestly say, for the first time since discovering Jenika Snow’s stories, I desperately wanted a full-length novel instead of a novella.
I want more than the teasing goodness that is this short. It’s too yummy to ignore. I. Want. More. And you will too!
A short and quick read that combines all the hot and sexy stuff Jenika is known for. Loved it!
First of all, let’s talk about this cover. Whew, I sure wouldn’t mind hands like that on me. I just love the lust and sexuality and oozes out of this cover. I’m pretty sure I’ve stared at it longer than normal.
I had fun with Her Beast, His Beauty. It’s insta-love and over the top but it’s full of sweetness and adoration. From the moment Rofus locked eyes on Britta, he knew she was the one. The pull and allure of her was too much and it brought him out of hiding after an accident that left him scarred ten years ago. I liked that he didn’t hold back when it came to what he wanted from her. He didn’t try to play games and he came out in full honestly and disclosure on what his intentions were.
“You’re prefect for me, the beauty to my ugliness, the perfection to my destruction.”
I also like that Snow didn’t write Britta as a virgin. While I don’t mind that at all, I liked that it was a bit different and wasn’t full on stereotypical. But don’t get me wrong. I do love me some over the top alphas with epic loves towards the virgin women who steal their hearts. I just liked that Britta wasn’t a virgin and thought it worked well for the overall story line.
Overall, Her Beast, His Beauty is a short and sweet retelling of Beauty and the Beast. It’s an easy escape into a fantasy world full of love and devotion.
