They say a phone call can change your life. I had to look at my phone a few times because I couldn’t believe what I just heard. I was the winner of a week-long getaway on an exotic island. The idea of sipping cocktails with one of those cute umbrellas on the beach sounded like something I definitely needed. There had to be a catch. I just didn’t realize the catch would stand six feet tall and be … stand six feet tall and be called Joey.
We were nothing alike. I don’t even know what to talk to him about. But something tells me talking is furthest from his mind.

This is an extremely entertaining and interesting page turner. A well written storyline that is well-developed, relatable, emotionally deep, funny, and consistent. The characters are amazing and endearing; their chemistry is potent and sizzling hot. An absolutely amazing book that I strongly recommend reading.

I enjoyed the short story of Sasha and Joey. Mostly because things are not always what they seem and it points out that you should not always judge a book by its cover!

This is the first book in the series and now I want to go back and read the previous books. Even though this is part of a series, each book can be read as a stand alone.Creative writing makes this a fun and enjoyable read, the characters are strong and well developed and you will fall in love with them. I don’t like to leave spoilers on my reviews so I won’t. Grab this book, get comfortable in your favorite reading spot and enjoy an entertaining read.

Her Beach Bum is a cute, sweet and thoroughly uplifting romance between Joey and Sasha. Joey works in receiving at the hospital and makes as many deliveries as possible to Sasha’s nursing station. She is a nurse who’s had her eye on him but her fellow nurses are condescending and rude to and about him. Sasha likes him regardless of how they feel and, as the book starts, she and Joey have just had their first date. Even though the date went well, Sasha quickly turned around and ran when Joey brought her home. What was that all about? Joey and his cousin come up with a plan for Joey to take Sasha away and enjoy some alone time together in the Bahamas. First, they have to convince her that she has won a round-trip, all expenses paid vacation. Once the plane is off the ground, the story itself flies! As if a switch flipped, two “different people” find themselves enjoying one another in every way they had dreamed about. Joey has undergone a transformation and, even though Sasha loves it, she was attracted to the pre-makeover man! The ending was perfect, especially when Joey and Sasha caught the previously condescending nurses in a complete change of heart! Wonderfully written!
Beautiful On Both The Inside And Out
Although I enjoyed this 7th entry in The Man Card Series it was missing something. Sasha made it hard for me to like her. She was more concerned with appearances and what her friends thought about her and Joey than his feelings. She did redeem herself in the end but for me it was too little too late. Joey on the other hand was every woman’s dream. He was smart, considerate, generous and oh so loving. I guess he was more forgiving than I would have been.
The island getaway was hot and steamy and I always love a HEA.
