Cora Cabot’s life is falling apart. So when her Australian friend announces she’s secured an internship in the States, Cora has a brilliant idea: house swap! Small-town Australia sounds like the perfect getaway. Only, when she gets there, the house isn’t empty. Turns out her friend’s hot Australian brother is staying there, too–and he doesn’t look happy to see her. The last thing Trent Walters … Trent Walters needs is a roommate for the summer. Especially an American who immediately floods the house and single-handedly destroys the family project his sister created for their parents’ anniversary. Now, not only does Cora insist on helping fix the house, he needs her help re-creating the family scrapbook. And glitter is not his forte.
But between late nights cooking, pints at the local pub, and competitive matches of cricket on the beach, Cora starts to break through Trent’s defenses. Too bad Cora made a promise to return to working with her father at the end of the summer–a promise she can’t break–because this holiday is starting to feel like one she never wants to end.

This is another highly entertaining entry in this enjoyable series series. Cora and Trent were likable, had great chemistry and shared clever banter. The storyline was fun. It offered up a blend of emotion, drama, tension, heart, heat and humor. A book that is sure to brighten your day and have you smiling. This is my frank, freely posted review.
Her Aussie Holiday is a fabulous fun read. Cora is running away and trying to catch her breath again after the harsh criticism from her father. You totally get the Holiday feeling when it comes to Cora swapping houses with Liv for her getaway. She never expected to find Trent. Trent is Liv’s contractor brother who works on her house while she is away. You will giggle over and over again when it comes to Trent and Cora, as well as Joe. I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes. This Aussie adventure is so hot and fun to read. I flew through the pages and ended up with a huge smile on my face. You will just love Cora and Trent so much.
She who leaves a trail of glitter is never forgotten…
Patterson’s Bluff has bewitched me yet again. Cora from Manhattan house swaps with her friend Liv who is from Australia. Cora desperately needs some alone time from all the drama of her breakup, her family and overall frustrations of her life at the present time. When she meets Trent, Liv’s older brother, he is like a breath of ocean air. He seems to give off an aura of being carefree and live for the moment kind of man. Making future plans are not in his vocabulary. Trent has a strong love for family and helping everyone but himself. Cora and Trent’s chemistry is instant, but both have emotional issues that causes a standstill in furthering their relationship to go to the next level.
As their story progresses, we see the changes and revelations they both experience in facing their fears and dipping their toes into the deep end. I loved watching them both flourish towards each other. Another fun and entertaining love story by Stefanie London.
You need to read Her Aussie Holiday!
If you want a great contemporary romance, this is the book to read!
Cora Cabot swapped her apartment in Manhattan for her friend’s house in Patterson’s Bluff, Australia for a month so she could work on the book she has always wanted to write. Trent Walters assumed his sister’s house would be empty while she was in New York City so he could stay there while he worked on the house. Just what could happen during the house swap in in Patterson’s Bluff? Maybe fall in love!
Her Aussie Holiday by Stefanie London is fun with a hunky Aussie construction worker and someone who has always lived in the city and some fish out of water experiences.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is an enjoyable story about two people that put on a happy facade to cover up emotional wounds. Cora Cabot is coming off a broken engagement and emotionally absent parent and needs to get away from her life. She swaps houses for a month with her friend Liv Walters from Patterson’s Bluff Australia. Cora doesn’t know that Liv’s brother,Trent, was planning on staying in the house while she was gone. These are two kindred spirits that hold people at a distance to keep their hearts safe. While both main characters are a bit broken, watching their growth as people and as a couple was satisfying. This was the second book in the Patterson’s Bluff series, but can be read as a stand-alone. I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.
A sweet read on finding yourself and believing in yourself. Love the story between Cora and Trent. Love their ups and downs and how they make each other a better person.
Cora and Trent’s love story in Her Aussie Holiday by Stefanie London, book 2 in the Patterson’s Bluff series, was an amazing, sizzling, emotional and humorous tale. Through her visual descriptions of the town, the beach, the houses, Ms. London grabbed my imagination, making me wish I lived in Patterson’s Bluff and spent time with the Walters family.
Cora Cabot’s life has imploded, crumbling around her, forcing her to admit she needed a break from her job, family, and Manhattan apartment. When her Australian friend calls, looking for recommendation of places to live as she received an internship in New York City, Cora had the brilliant idea of a house swap. Small-town Australia would provide the perfect escape. Arriving at the house, Cora discovers it’s not empty. It seems that her friend’s brother, can we say hot, Australian brother, is also staying there, unbeknownst to his sister. Trent Walters thought he would be able to complete some major home improvements while his sister was in the States, not realizing she would have her American friend staying there. Cora ends up flooding the house and destroying a family project his sister created for their parents’ upcoming anniversary. It wasn’t totally her fault since Trent forgot to turn off the water main when he left the house for a bit. Since she was staying there, Cora insists on helping him fix the house and he needs her help in re-creating the family scrapbook. The glitter scene will keep you laughing for chapters beyond. As Cora and Trent spend time together cooking late night meals, pints at the local pub, and partaking in cricket matches on the beach they start to act on the sizzling attraction drawing them together. Cora might make a dent in Trent’s defenses but Trent has worked hard building up Cora’s self-esteem and confidence. If Cora hadn’t promised to return to working with her father at the end of the holiday, she questioned leaving as it she was feeling like she had found her home. Returning to New York Cora realizes family is not always the one you are born to and home is actually where your heart belongs.
Ms. London wrote a fun, emotional, and sizzling romance that should not be missed. She provided a tale rich with emotions, sexual chemistry, humor, wonderful dialogue, and charming characters giving Cora and Trent a chance at love and forever. I highly recommend Her Aussie Holiday to other readers.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
This is part of the Patterson’s Bluff series but is read as a standalone. A house swap in Australia that comes with an unplanned roommate. My O My – what could possibly go wrong. Cora’s decided that the answer to her crumbling life was a house swap and a vacation in Australia. Things take a different turn when her friend’s brother is staying in the house. Needless to say, he’s not a happy camper when she shows up. The book is well written and the characters are entertaining. Their back and forth banter was hilarious at times. A slow-burn romance that went from enemies to lovers. Lots of family demands that make choices harder. It was an enjoyable read but was slow-moving at times. I read an arc via Net Galley and voluntarily chose to write a review.
This book was a very enjoyable read with the good storyline and well detailed characters that captured my attention from the very beginning and wouldn’t let me go until the turn of the very last page!
**I received a copy of Her Aussie Holiday from Entangled Publishing and Net Galley in exchange for a voluntary and honest review. My opinion was not solicited in any way.**
Her Aussie Holiday by Stefanie London is a fantastic addition to her Patterson’s Bluff series. Ms. London writes this town so that while reading you can almost envision yourself walking down the street. I’d love to visit this town someday but for now will keep on reading her books. I’d give this book more than 5 Stars if I could as it’s worth it that and more.
Cora Cabot has always wanted one thing to be loved by her parents for who she is and as an author especially by her literary agent father. But his opinion of her rough draft broke her heart enough to agree to a house swap with her friend Liv to swap her NYC home for a Australia cottage. She didn’t expect Trent or a disconnected water pipe nor did she know that she’d find a family who loved her as she is in Patterson’s Bluff. But she does and even learns how to scrapbook a memory album.
Trent Walters has a secret that his siblings don’t know but he does everything for them even putting his dream home on the side for whatever they need. When he gets to his sister’s cottage to see flooded rooms and a drenched Cora he’ll be angry but mostly at himself. They’ll spend her month in OZ learning about each other and also finding that it’s better to be first than last when it comes to themselves. But when he sends her manuscript to his father to read will Cora be able to forgive or will she return to NYC to try to repair her own fractured family?
“Her Aussie Holiday” is book two of Stefanie London’s Patterson’s Bluff series.
To take a holiday from life, Cora Cabot exchanges her apartment in New York for a charming house in Australia. Right away, she meets a gorgeous guy and an outrageous cockatoo.
Trent Walters bunks at his sister’s house while doing renovations, not aware someone else is also staying there.
Their attraction is immediate, and with Cora only staying for a little while and the fact Trent is Cora’s friend’s brother, they agree they can only be temporary.
Cora and Trent both have pain they’ve kept hidden, not letting anyone get too close. It isn’t until each other that they begin to open up, revealing their secrets.
In “Her Aussie Holiday”, as in some of her other books, Ms. London is adept at balancing romance, comedy, and emotion. I will definitely be reading more books by this author.
Favorite Quotes:
Cora’s childhood could be best summed up as: may result in therapy.
Seriously? Did you hop into the DeLorean and travel back to high school?
I am the least creative person in my family. Seriously, my Christmas decorations were so bad as a kid, I caught my mum hiding them around the back of the tree whenever we had guests over… I can’t blame her. My ‘Christmas rocket’ really did look like a sparkly dick.
“I’ve heard about this.” Cora wrinkled her nose as the traffic-sign-yellow label on the jar of mysterious dark brown stuff. “Tell me, do Aussies really eat this or is it a mean prank you play on tourists?” Nick gasped and pressed a hand to his chest… “Excuse me,” he said, “but Vegemite is a national delicacy.”
My Review:
I’m enjoying this amusing yet thoughtfully written series with the second installment being just as entertaining and engaging as the first. The books are standalone yet involve the same family members and continue on from the previous publication. The storylines were relatable and held my interest with family drama, a sizzling new romance, Aussie assimilation, and amusing humor. The characters were uniquely flawed yet endearing, admirably hardworking, and highly likable human beings. As this brother turned out to be the opposite of what I was expecting, I am looking forward to seeing what this clever author does with the next family member.
Another sweetly sexy and fun adventure in Patterson’s Bluff, really enjoyed the emotionally thrilling roller-coaster ride from beginning to end. This is a fun and emotional journey that hits all the right feels and leaves you with a smile.
Patterson’s Bluff would be a place I would love to visit. Cora and Liv switch homes for 1 month. When Cora first gets to Liv’s home she is in for a few surprises. Both Trent and Cora are very likable. I liked that Cora was not the typical rich girl and was looking for her true self. She isn’t afraid to try new things and to make up for her own mistakes. Their relationship is easy going although they have a few funny episodes happen. They both grow with the other helping them. Sweet and sometimes steamy read.
House-swapping in Australia is just the thing Cora needs when her life starts to fall apart in the US. She didn’t expect to meet her fellow house swapper’s gorgeous brother on her first day, or to fall headlong into his warm embrace and loving family.
Trent has a secret that he hasn’t told his family. Well, most of his family. And it’s wearing on him. Then a gorgeous American stumbles into his life when she swaps homes with his sister. Is Cora just the thing needed for his bruised heart?
This is such a sweet, warm story. I loved Trent and his family. They’re like a big, squeezy hug when you need it most. Cora is almost the opposite with her defensive shell, but I felt so for her once her backstory with her father was revealed. Then I wanted to hug her as much as Trent and his family did. Altogether a sweet, tenderly spicy story with a warm, sweet Aussie and an American just looking for love.
For a couple who’s time has a short shelf life, their relationship has a slow burn. And it’s awesome! I loved that Trent and Cora became friends first, teaming up to work on a ruined anniversary gift, fix up Liv’s house and learn about each other. It’s fun to watch Trent help Cora acclimate not just to the slower pace that Patterson’s Bluff presents to this NYC girl, but to show her what she missed out on while being raised by a narcissistic mother and mostly unaware father.
It was easy to see and believe how they could be drawn to each other and I enjoyed the relative ease of their transition from friends to lovers (or fling, as both tried to categorize it) Trent’s friends were awesome and friendly, exactly the kind of people you’d love to meet and hang out with if you were in holiday yourself, but also who you’d like to keep in your life.
The other thing I enjoyed was Ms. London’s descriptions of the Australian landscape, from the beach to the bushland. As I doubt I’ll ever get to see the beauty that is Australia (this girl is not a good flyer!), I loved seeing it through her eyes.
I loved this book and could not put it down. I had not read book one in the series, but it did not take away my enjoyment of Her Aussie Holiday, nor was there anything that I needed explained/was confused about because of it. The perfect summer read!
My thanks to Netgalley for the advance copy. My opinions are freely and honestly given.
A renewal of spirit in a new place. Cora is looking for a place to heal in isolation. She does not count on having a sexy roommate in Trent. Trent is a happy go lucky guy living day by day. They are both people pleasers and keeping secrets. It is an emotional story. It also has funny incidents involving a bird and glitter. Cora and Trent spend some steamy time together as they grow closer together. Family plays a big part in the relationship’s success and resolving the issues that would keep them apart.
The perfect summer read, a small town romance that pulls you in.
Cora needs a change of scenery for inspiration. When her and her Australian friend decide to house swap. She wasn’t expecting a house guest when she got there. Her friend’s brother Trent is staying there as well. Trent was not happy with her arrival. These two have great chemistry and are so cute. Will things last when Cora is supposed to return home?
This was a sweet slow burn small town romance. I really enjoyed it and am really enjoying this series.
I didn’t finish it.
What do you get with a squatter and a true guest of the house? Disaster is what you get. But only in the beginning. We have a flood, a glitter explosion, and a Cockatoo named Joe. All of these things have one thing in common, they make you laugh. Cora just want a vacation from her life. She needs to find herself. Trent just wants a place to stay and to help everyone that needs it. But what they also find is one another. Trent has trust issues and Cora is lonely. But when these to come together the chemistry is off the charts. So what would be so wrong to have a fling? This thing called feelings, might occur. What happens at the end of Cora’s vacation? Can she just say good bye and go home? Can Trent just let her walk away? This is a definite most read. This is the second book in the Patterson Bluff series, but can be read as a stand alone.
