USA TODAY BESTSELLER * Perfect for fans of J. S. Scott and Emma Chase, Hendrix introduces the wild and sexy Caldwell boys–three brothers who are living up to their legendary names in Detroit Rock City.
Hendrix Caldwell wants nothing more than to revitalize the family bar–and tear down every last reminder of his no-good father. But business isn’t the only thing on his mind. An explosive … the only thing on his mind. An explosive encounter with a stranger at a charity masquerade is just the distraction he craves, with no names and no strings attached. For Hendrix, sex is casual, and love is a four-letter word. His commitment is to his brothers, his bar, and his bike. So why can’t he stop thinking about the naughty Cinderella who rocked his world, then left him–and her panties–behind?
Olivia Hemmingway knows fairytales are for little girls. Drowning in debt and hiding a shameful secret, she won’t be saved by a knight in tattooed armor, no matter how mind-blowing their one-night stand may have been. Olivia never expects to meet her masked lover again. But when she takes a job at Hendrix Caldwell’s bar, her sexy new boss seems all too familiar. And once the lights go out and the music is turned up, the sparks between them burn hotter than ever.

I loved this book so much. I had the best time reading it and it swept me away so hard I never wanted to come back to the real world. This is the story of Hendrix and Olivia. Hendrick is determined to bring back to live his no good father’s bar and make it a success. He also likes the ladies but only in a love them and leave them kind of way. He loves the chase but that is as far as he ever goes because the guy doesn’t believe in love at all. Oliva grew up in a broken household. She did a whole lot of traveling between her mom and dads house. But when she was a teen everything changed and she began to rely on empowerment statements to get her through the day. We really get to see Olivia grow a whole lot in this book and I loved every second of that. She meets Hendrix at a masquerade ball and the night they spend together is magical. But neither expects to ever see the other. Until she starts working at his bar. Sparks are bound to fly because for probably the first time in his life Hendrix can not stop thinking about Olivia even if he doesn’t know her name. I loved every second of this book. You will laugh and you will feel the emotions of this book down to your very toes. You guys do not want to miss this book. I thought it was amazing.
Hendrix is one of the three Caldwell brothers and owner of the bar. He had a sexy one night stand with an amazing woman. Olivia has had a tough time. She gets a job at a local bar with none other than the sexy masked stranger she had a one night stand with, Hendrix. The two are good together and I enjoyed this story.
A new series by MJ and Chelsea, how could it lose? Simply put, it can’t! I love this story about our Detroit Dudes. A little rough around the edges and smart enough to know a good thing when they see it! Sometimes, reading Hendrix’s point of view, made me think of The Jersey Shore Boys. But, it was true to character and somehow adds to the charm! I definitely recommend reading this series!
Take on hot, sexy, broody man, and one quirky, naïve woman, add in one masked charity event, secrets, suspense, fiery chemistry, twists and turns, forgiveness, loyalty, and great banter, and you get one fast-paced, sexy, emotional read.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.
Hendrix Caldwell Tatted alpha hotness, Hendrix Caldwell the oldest of thCaldwell brothers. He’s No- Nonsense kinda guy.Dealing with his own loss
and trying to run a bar. While at a Benefit he meets “Squeak” the masked giggly girl.
Olivia(Livi) Gordon Fresh out of college trying to make her way without drowning in debt and still trying to get over what happened to her.
Goes with a friend to a benefit .After an encounter with a masked man who she can’t remember at the bar, and a romp in a closet. She soon finds the man from the closet. Is it Fate or will they make it? I would recommend this book to all! MJ Fields is an awesome writer and Paired with Chelsea who i have just discovered is almost as equally awesome as one hell of a book! So if you are looking for a Cry , love story and steamy scenes I highly recommend Hendrix!
This first book of the Caldwell series reminded me in some respects of the Steel brothers that Ms. Fields has written.
Hendrix, a broody, devoted to his family and others, mourning the loss of his mother while trying to rebuild the family bar and complete Alpha male character was one hot man. He has a one time closet encounter with Olivia (Livi) at a fundraising function only to later unknowingly hire her to work on a trial basis at his bar. He quickly develops feelings that he was not expecting for her to then learn her closet identity only to have those feelings grow.
Olivia or Livi, a recent college grad trying to make a living and pay her student loans finds herself down on her luck. She has a pile of bills to pay, a broken down car and student loans to pay and decides that she needs another job to help with her situation. She gets a job at Hendrix’s bar with no experience and quickly found herself in the company of people that cared about her well being as if she was true family. She worries about depending on Hendrix so much when he is trying to help her only to develop feelings for him.
Both these characters were well written and had chemistry that was off the charts. This book was a good read that had me interested in Hendrix and Livi’s story from the first page to the last only to be sorry that the story had to end. I enjoyed the secondary characters and look forward to their story being told. Overall, this was a good read that I enjoyed throughout and would recommend to others.
I have been a fan of MJ Fields since the Steel books. Getting a chance to read Hendrix did not disappoint. I really liked the main characters Hendrix and Livi. Their relationship was just awesome and they were perfect for each other. Livi’s panties obsession was probably the best part of the book. I loved every pair she wore to empower her. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
What can I say two fantastic writers in MJ Fields & Chelsea Camaron have given us the start of a fantastic new series the Caldwell Brothers.
Hendrix is book one in this series and what a start it is.
Hendrix the oldest of three brothers is all Alpha, Hot Dirty Talker Bar Owner living by his own rules And does want ever he wants.
Olivia a college graduate looking to make it on her own trying to overcome demons from her past and make a new life for herself.
One night changes it all when Hendrix and Olivia meet in a hot and unconventional way and life as they both know it changes everything.
We see the emotional rollercoaster that the two have to overcome but as you are cheering for the two of the them from page one right up to the words The End you are wishing for that HEA.
I am a huge fan of MJ Fields And Chelsea Camaron and if you want to read an amazing read by these two woman this is the one you won’t want to miss
Hendrix is an enjoyable quick easy read.
I have to say Hendrix is the quiet moody bad boy and for that reason, it’s a little more difficult to connect to him, but I loved Livi, the quirky female who’s had a rough start but really comes through for herself each day.
I loved the Caldwell brothers and can’t wait to read about Morrison and Jagger.
Took a few chapters to get into the story but once I did I found it ok.
Olivia has a few quirks but they didn’t particularly annoy me and Hendrix is the typical broody, tattooed hot male.
I liked the relationship with both Hendrix and his brothers and Olivia and his brothers they seemed to get on really well and felt comfortable together.
The issues with Olivia and her father and step family got swept under the carpet and forgiven a bit too quickly, more depth to this part of the story line would’ve been better in my opinion.
Overall an ok, good read, I certainly wouldn’t mind a night out at Caldwells bar to partake in Christmas cocktails and be entertained on ladies night just not eating the food there’s far too much heat in that kitchen.
Don’t ask me how but I read books two and three before this one so I knew some things going in I just love a broody hot man and that description could have been made for Hendrix. It was fun for me to remember the bond between the brothers I loved when they all were all together, the verbal sparring and teasing was there but the love shone through. Livi is the quiet force that he never saw coming. I loved her personality soft but determined but so ditzy her antics and dialogue made me giggle. The way that Hendrix shows her the beauty that others see made me smile and of course the brothers making her feel like one of the family was heartwarming. I think it is time for a reread of the rest of the series.
Another amazing story by MJ Fields. One of the things I love about MJ Fields books is her love of family. The strong bonds and protection they have for each other. Hendrix is no different. The bond Hendrix, Morrison and Jagger share is so special. Their mother would be so proud of them. Now Livi is part of that family. They support each other and are always there for one another. Livi has had some bad things happen to her and she has never told anyone. Once she opens up to Hendrix, he promises to always protect her and never let anything, or anyone harm her. It is this bond that makes them so perfect for one another. Livi has promised herself to rely only on herself but somehow Hendrix breaks down her walls and becomes part of her. What they share is something neither one has shared with anyone else. A perfect love story and a strong family bond that makes this series a great beginning. Cannot wait for Morrison and Jagger to find their soulmates
What a awesome story. Love Hendrix and Olivia. Such a bunch of loving brothers the Caldwells are. They have each other’s back no matter what. They are there for each other when ever they are needed no questions asked. Read this in a day. Could not put it down. Love how easy it was for Hendrix to go all alpha on Livi. Can not wait for the next story in this series.
A Broody, Crazy Kinda Love (lol) is EXACTLY what this story is!! Hendrix & Olivia find perfect in each other although they each were delt un perfect upbringing. Olivia is sweet, quirky, & funny!!! I wont lie sometimes i was scratching my head to understand what the hell she was talking about. Then there’s Hendrix….take charge, protective, realist who at the same time has the biggest heart. They both have had that “hell on earth moment”. (We all know the one. That moment that tears your heart out, & cripples you… but it doesn’t define you) Now their both trying to find a way to move past the “hell” & actually live. I am just lucky to be along for this beautiful ride. Warning!! You will need a few tissues if not a box…. i definitely ugly cried!!
Hendrix by M.J.Fields & Chelsea Cameron is book one of the Caldwell Brothers Series..
One sexy looking tattooed with a dirty mouth ~~~ that’s Hendrix….
He needs extra help in the bar he owns it’s there where Olivia enters the story .
This is not her main job it’s her second job .
An extremely hard and through worker Oliver catches Hendrix’s eyesssss!
There is a familiar feeling that perhaps they have met previously , shame engulfs Olivia !
This is co-written extremely well , I have no clue who writes who , it’s easy to read, a lot of humour ..
Both Olivia and Hendrix have a back story,
Will they find their happy ending ?
Read and find out ….
This book was a surprise for me. Usually MJ Fields doesn’t make you cry from the start, but she did with this one. Once I started it I couldn’t put it down. Livi and Hendrix story was extremely engaging. There was the laughter, crying, the yelling, and then the laughter again. Thank you for giving me the chance to read an advanced copy. I enjoyed this book as much as all of your others. I haven’t had the chance to read anything from Chelsea Cameron but now I’m going to look into her books.

Hendrix is the first in a series revolving around the three Caldwell brothers, Hendrix, Morrison, and Jagger. I enjoyed the characters – always love the alpha male with the equally strong female and Hendrix didn’t disappoint.
Hendrix: sexy alpha male, bar owner, insanely loyal to family and friends, saddled with a loser father, sarcastic and brooding. Livi: beautiful eccentric female, distrusting, independent, hard working, and challenged financially with a troubled past.
The story developed as their friendship and attraction grew; yet while simultaneously attacking their past demons and learning to move on. The overall story line had merit with a good foundation of humor mixed throughout in all major characters.
Although the language was strong and may have appeared excessive to some, I thought it matched the characters perfectly. This wasn’t a story that involved prep schools and etiquette training. It was a cast of characters that fought for everything they had, lived in and through some difficult challenges, and they spoke raw and real emotions. It was an authentic perspective for the story line.
As much as I enjoyed the book, I felt it was missing depth at times. I would have liked more development of the characters during some of the critical scenes/plots. With that said, I still thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to the others in the series.
