New enemies, new allies.I survived my first year at Fortuna Academy. Lucifer met my mates and it wasn’t totally mortifying. I met Azriel’s mom and she’s not that bad. We’re all back at school and we have a mission—find that prophecy and figure out who tried to poison Keane. Everyone in our group has a least favorite Hellhound they suspect of doing the deed, but really, we have nothing. That is, … really, we have nothing.
That is, until Lilith comes through with information from school records. Both Hellhounds that have been harassing me have secrets, but this one ties back to Keane and the Lilim.
We finally find the prophecy as we gather more allies. Even with the warlock police and Hellhounds on our side, I’m woefully under prepared for any of this. Suck it up, buttercup. That’s my only option. With Lucifer as my father and all the prophecies surrounding my birth, the only thing I can do is figure things out.
I’m the Princess of Hell. I can do this, right?

I do not normally read academy stories, but I really liked this one. It is a college academy so it has content for a more mature audience (which is great). It has many characters for which the time and structure is taken to build well-developed personalities. I would recommend reading these books back-to-back until the series is complete as they are not stand-alone stories but rather build onto each other. JB intertwines love and angst into a paranormal world where characters from different belief systems live and work together for the betterment of the world. Her protagonist (heroine) is young, sassy, strong-willed, and eager to learn. She takes each barrier with determination, righteousness, and love in her mind and soul. I cannot wait to read more from JB Trepagnier!
This book picks up right where the story left off and starts with a bang (literally). New information is slowly revealed throughout this book deepening the plot line with twist and turns all over. A new member is roped into the craziness as well as allies and enemies are revealed. The multi-perspectives is my favourite part of a RH book since you get to know the characters soo much better than if it was a single perspective and you can connect better with them/the story. I like how there’s both Rhys’s and Gaius’s perspectives since we all know one of them will be joining the harem, but having both leaves a layer of mystery towards which one.. or does it really?. A lot of surprises are dropped in this book as well as the prophecy is finally revealed, although it was a disappointment considering the build up and expectation to get nothing new.. The sassy and sarcasm are still kicking and alive just like in Fire and Brimstone.

All five mates are in agreement sort of one of them finally mated her and 4 our of the five have got in on some sexy time . we now know why the hellhounds are noisy and why they are breaking rules. I can’t wait to see how they fix this mess.
This book had a little less action than the last, but still just as good!

The harem is just about complete! Haley has grown closer to her men and connected with them on another level. There is still another mate that has yet to join but it is just a matter of time.
The prophecy has finally been found and some missing pieces have been filling the blanks with more details on why the hellhounds seem so interested in who Haley’s father is, and it is definitely big!
The story has gone a little fast-paced in this second book, but I love it regardless. Can’t wait to get started on the next book!
