After twenty years in the military, Eazy Phatt realizes he’s seen it all, done it all, and regretted enough. He retires, planning to stay with family until he decides what to do with his civilian life. He’s thirty-eight and his priority is to find a woman who’ll love him as much as his mom loved his dad. And he’s hoping to do that before he turns thirty-nine. He soon discovers his mother has … mother has invested in a harebrained scheme, capitalizing on the family name. She’s turning the homeplace into a weight loss center. Eazy’s not happy with the new business at all—until the last registered guest arrives accompanied by her dog.
The voluptuous siren is the woman of his dreams. But something has her spooked. She’s on edge, needs to unwind, maybe make a friend. Both she and her dog are watchful, suspicious, guarded. As a battle-scarred veteran, Eazy recognizes a victim of violence. He’s got six weeks to gain her trust and convince her to let him protect her too.
FBI agent Mackenzie Sierra Scott appreciates the irony in her situation. While she recovers from a gunshot wound meant to keep her from testifying against embezzlers, she’s spending six weeks in-hiding at a weight loss center. Her handler probably thinks he’s being cute, knowing she considers dieting stupid. Phatt Farm is going to be six weeks of mindless boredom.
But then again, maybe not. As soon as she meets the resident farmer, Mack thinks of many ways they could burn calories together. When he asks her to help him with farm work as an alternative to a daily regime of yoga, meditation, and pushups, she accepts, picturing hours of gratuitous sex.
Hot body aside, Eazy Phatt is a pain in the neck. Instead of becoming her lover, he turns Mack into a farmhand, keeping her busy from first light till bed. She drives tractor, stacks hay, picks apples, shucks corn, and somewhere along the way, falls in love. And that all happens before the shooting starts.

Sweet, sassy and packed humor!
Fun story full of all the right points. Danger, hero, lovable animals. Drop the city girl on the farm and who know what will happen. Great happy read!
A short and sweet, to the point, fast paced story. Since it is short I won’t say too much about it. There is danger, suspense and romance along with some drama. Well written with great characters that will make you laugh. I loved the humor, the plot and the touching romance.
I really enjoyed reading Phatt Farm. The book was told from Kenzie’s POV. There was lots of humor through out the entire book. There was also just the right amount of romance in it. If you’ve not read any other books in this series its a must. This book can be read in order or as a stand alone.
This is a great, fast paced story. The characters are interesting, believable, and entertaining. There is something for everyone in this story. I look forward to reading more in this series.
Great quick read with a take no prisoners heroine and her fierce guardian dog and a sexy alpha male who knows what he wants and he wants her. The rest of the Hell Yeah! series definitely on my TBR list.
PHATT FARM is a fast-paced, engaging read that is full of giggles and chemistry. Coming in at just over an hour’s read time, it’s perfect for a quick afternoon or bedtime tale.
Eazy is a sexy, ex-military man working on the family farm while he figures out his life and Mack is there hiding out from danger in her real life. There is instant attraction from their very first meeting, but Eazy does come off as a bit hot and cold at times. Mack and Eazy do fall in love quite fast, which wouldn’t have bothered me if it weren’t for Eazy’s gruff attitude one minute and flirtations the next. There is reason for this, but I felt like we got more of that information from the blurb than in the story, although there is a twist toward the end that gives us even more insight into Eazy’s actions. We also get some suspense stemming from Mack’s job as a forensic accountant, but it’s more of a side story once she gets to the farm.
Overall, the story is an entertaining read, loosely related to the author’s Smoke, Inc world, which I’ve really enjoyed. I would’ve preferred a bit more development on the romance, but we still get some interesting characters and fun banter in an easy to read story.
I’m a little confused on this book.
This was an okay book for me, it just felt a bit disjointed and seemed to miss some information that could’ve made for a smoother read for the reader.
I feel like there was more to the story that I missed from not knowing previous characters, but I’m not even sure if that’s right or not.
For instance…
Why does Kenzie need a guard dog? She was under the impression of being safe before the shooting, so why the guard dog?
How did she come to the conclusion that Eazy was working for her relatives and there to protect her?
Why was Eazy so against his mom’s nutrition camp that she had going on? Did he know she had ulterior motives?
How exactly did they go from Kenzie not believing he was into her to loving each other? There was no building of a relationship between them. Perhaps the author should’ve included parts from Eazy point of view so we could understand where the feelings developed. Because from where I’m sitting, I’m thinking he’s just trying to get with her because he’s determined to find a wife (info once again given by the synopsis, but not something we get to read about.)
