I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. This is a dark story about Lana, Jovan and their friends at school. Lana is getting into a private school with a scholarship. Her past is rough, her dad’s a drunk and her mom is dead and she was molested as a child. She meets Jovan and she’s thinks he’s a bright spot for her at school. She couldn’t be more wrong.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and the first book in a series so the whole story isn’t told here. There are some triggers in this story due to the topics covered. It’s a pretty quick read only taking me about an hour, but I am a fast reader. I was drawn into the story virtually straight away, although it’s a short book nothing seems to be rushed and the story and characters have some depth to them. I’m looking forward to book 2.

I love a good bully romance and this one exceeded my expectations. Lana has a traumatic past. She’s at an all time low when she meets Jovan. They have an amazing night together. Lana is starting at a prestigious high school and Jovan is the popular guy on campus. Lana and Jovan are excited to explore a future together when Lana finds out his father is her abuser. It all goes downhill after that revelation. I loved this book and I can’t wait to find out what happens next.

Hell Week! Wow, this might be a quick read but SOOOO worth every page! It has twist and turns that you won’t see coming between Lana and Jovan. It is a dark bully romance that will keep you on the edge of your seat screaming no he didn’t OR no they didn’t!! And yes it ends on a cliffhanger with you anxiously waiting for the next book. I will say I loved her friend Katie (Blue) and her loyalty to Lana.

4.5 stars
There’s been an abundance of high school bully romances in the last months and sadly many of them are similar. The synopsis of the book was pretty interesting, so I decided to give it a try and I really enjoyed it!
Lana and Jovan’s story is quite intense. They first meet and connect without either of them knowing what is to come. Lana’s past is full of hurt and sadness. When she finally finds a person that speaks to her soul, everything shatters because of the connection between him and her past. I couldn’t believe how fast Jovan’s behavior changed towards her.
This was a first introduction to the story, and I can’t wait for the next book! Hell Week is upon her and it’s game on between them!!!
Great start!!
This is a great start to a new series! Jovan and Lana have such a great start only to crash and burn when secrets reveal they are more connected than they thought and not in a good way. I cannot wait to read the rest of this series!
