Denise Grover Swank is truly a gifted writer. I have read the first series about Rose and Nelly Kate’s adventures in a small town in Arkansas. These two characters are empathetic and want to help others while they try to determine what is best for their lives. if this was a soap opera, I would have to watch it everyday!

I don’t give many 5 star reviews. This book was amazing. If you have read the series you understand. If you haven’t then you need to read to fully grasp the entire book. I do believe you could read it as a stand alone and still feel completely amazed. This book has you continuously guessing, feeling sorrow, anger, and then blows your mind. Once again this author has pulled me in. I finished this book and I HAD to talk to someone ANYONE about what just happened.
I asked a friend to let me just tell her what was going on because it is THAT good. She is starting the series now.

*This story is part of a (spinoff series). I highly recommend you start with Book 1- Twenty Eight and a Half Wishes – to get the full experience with no spoilers. I promise… the WHOLE series is worth it!
Ah, Rose and James. The loooongest 2 weeks in reader history!
I am such a fan of Denise Grover Swanks writing that it’s no surprise this is a terrific story. The same strong, well written characters we’ve had throughout and they NEVER get stale. I adore Rose so very much. My heart breaks for all she endures, and I want to hug her and cheer for her in victory.
Hell in a Handbasket is full of emotion, action, friendships, and disappointment. Oh, and love. Blood family, non-blood family & romantic. So much love!
