FORBIDDEN LOVECecily Nottingham has made a huge mistake. The marriage bed was still warm when the earl she thought she loved crawled out of it and announced that he loved someone else.Loves. Someone else.Cecily was nothing more than a means to an end, that end being her dowry. With nothing to lose, in an attempt to goad the earl into divorcing her, Cecily sets out to seduce her husband’s cousin, … sets out to seduce her husband’s cousin, Mr. Nottingham.
Little does she realize that he is everything her husband is not: honorable, loyal, trustworthy…
Handsome as sin.
Stephen Nottingham returned to England for one reason — to save his cousin’s estate from financial ruin.
Instead, he finds himself tempted by his cousins beautiful and scorned countess.
He isn’t sure what to do first, strangle his cousin, or kiss the cad’s wife.
As the tangle unravels, his honor is put to the test, right along with his self-control.
Amid snakes, duels, and a good catfight, Cecily realizes the game she’s playing has high stakes indeed.
There are only a few ways for a marriage to end in Regency England, and none of them come without a high price. Is she willing to pay it? Is Stephen?
A ‘Happily Ever After’ hangs in the balance, because, yes, love can conquer all, but sometimes it needs a little bit of help.
Hell Hath No Fury is Book 1 in Annabell Anders’ wildly popular Devilish Debutantes Series.

I wanted things to work out for the couple but didn’t know how that would work out. Didn’t think Annabelle Anders would take the easy way out and she didn’t disappoint. The characters are well-developed and I had no idea who to trust for quite a while LOL then the whole thing blew me away with a few twist at the end. Loved it
This story felt fresh and unpredictable. I couldn’t put it down. 🙂
A forbidden love story makes for an interesting regency romance. It doesn’t start out right for Cecily, married to a deceitful greedy man, but his cousin Stephen makes up for it in so many ways… honourable, loyal and passionate. Love conquers all in the end, and theirs is a happily ever after meant to be.
Convincingly captivating!
3.5/5
I loved this book! This is the first I’ve read by this author, but I will be reading the rest of the series. The story moved along quickly, the events were unexpected and original, the emotions were genuine, and the ending was perfect.
Really enjoyed it
I loved this book! A gradual building of a beautiful blonde story.
Wow! So many twists and turns making this my kind of book.
It’s a bit darker than your average fun romance.
Judging a book by its cover: she did and so did her parents. Shame, shame, shame! Beyond that, I say nothing — except that I really enjoyed seeing a woman show strength and not relying completely on a man.
And yes — Hell Hath NO Fury Like a Woman Scorned — especially when she is subtle about it.
Lost Something Along the Way – 2.5 stars
The first chapter was great. I was immediately drawn into Cecily’s plight. There was also a good level of complexity in the relationships between the main characters. However, as I read further, the plot began to lose its spark. The situations were mundane and the ending lackluster.
Suspenseful, Deception, Betrayal, Revenge & Romance
A Wonderful Story that didn’t start off very well for me, but became very Exciting & Enchanting.
Cecily & Stephen are on a mission regarding Her Husband & his cousin.
Cecily goes through so much threats & dangerous situations that she feels like there is no Happily Ever After. Stephen is trying to get his cousin to be more responsible since he got married & inherited the title. It’s was hard to put the book down, the Story was Absolutely Wonderful.
Well my fellow readers, This was a good book to read. It had excitement, suspense, cat fight, romance and one dimwit of a husband. I apologize if I offended any husbands out there, but this guy takes the cake. Cecile, she is a very forgiving woman. Woman of today are strong, independent, survivors and don’t bleep from anyone.
In today’s world Flavorine would be mince meat. Flavorine exit left, Stephen, enter right. Stephen a man among men every woman would love to have. Read the book to hear his story as Cecile works to outwit her husband. This is a one time read for me, although I look to read more from this author.
Love the story. An original with many incidents comprising the ending. Just desserts come slow but sure. Love finds a way. A mess of deceit becomes a tangled and murderous time for the main characters. Atmosphere and characters well depicted for the period. A must read series.
Really enjoyed this book and thr whole series too!
Twists and turns. Toooooo much sex.
This is a great book that shows a young woman overcoming difficult circumstances to find joy.
It’s all about the need for a large dowry. What to do?
Loved it.
