FORBIDDEN LOVECecily Nottingham has made a huge mistake. The marriage bed was still warm when the earl she thought she loved crawled out of it and announced that he loved someone else.Loves. Someone else.Cecily was nothing more than a means to an end, that end being her dowry. With nothing to lose, in an attempt to goad the earl into divorcing her, Cecily sets out to seduce her husband’s cousin, … sets out to seduce her husband’s cousin, Mr. Nottingham.
Little does she realize that he is everything her husband is not: honorable, loyal, trustworthy…
Handsome as sin.
Stephen Nottingham returned to England for one reason — to save his cousin’s estate from financial ruin.
Instead, he finds himself tempted by his cousins beautiful and scorned countess.
He isn’t sure what to do first, strangle his cousin, or kiss the cad’s wife.
As the tangle unravels, his honor is put to the test, right along with his self-control.
Amid snakes, duels, and a good catfight, Cecily realizes the game she’s playing has high stakes indeed.
There are only a few ways for a marriage to end in Regency England, and none of them come without a high price. Is she willing to pay it? Is Stephen?
A ‘Happily Ever After’ hangs in the balance, because, yes, love can conquer all, but sometimes it needs a little bit of help.
Hell Hath No Fury is Book 1 in Annabell Anders’ wildly popular Devilish Debutantes Series.

Happy ending to a sad story. Cecile married the man she thought she loved only to find out on her wedding night he married her only for money and doesn’t want anything else to do with her. In comes cousin Stephen who learns to appreciate all the positives of Cecily’s Personality but is unable to have her since his cousin is more like a brother. When someone tries to kill her and a duel changes Flavian forever, Stephen has a chance to change everything. Her anger is real to me as is her hopelessness. I didn’t like her need for an affair for a divorce, but I enjoyed the rest of the book.
Good writing, with a tongue in cheek twist to it.
I struggle to recall a more despicable human being than Flavion, our heroine’s husband.
The author really despises him, enough to (spoiler alerts coming – stop reading if you intend to suffer through this story) castrate him.
He is challenged to not one but two duels, on subsequent mornings. The first one goes beyond the pale in terms of being ludicrous – you can’t be challenged for taking the virtue of your wife, can you?
There are murder attempts: a runaway carriage with the accomplice present at the scene, poisoning, and a poisonous snake in the bed.
The references to entendres within Shakespeare’s writing were enjoyable; I must admit that.
A great well written historical romance that will drawn you in until the very end. The plot and characters are very original and will keep you reading. I recommend the book very highly.
Brilliant!
I absolutely loved everything about this story like the characters and what they got up to, all the clever twists and turns and the total cheekiness of this romantic and hot love story.
Annabelle Anders, I am so happy that circumstances forced you to begin writing your stories and I for one look forward to reading more from you.
Of course I am recommending this book! Do yourself a favor and read it too.
