What happened after the happily ever after? You all know the story of your favorite fairytale, but did you ever wonder what happened after the fairytale ending? Well we know. Not all afters end up happily, sometimes the real adventure starts much later…With the dragons attacking and the kingdom falling apart, Azia must find out about her history to make changes to her future, but heading up the … to her future, but heading up the mountains to see the dragons is a downright insane idea.
Fortunately for Azia, she was never one to let a spark of insanity stop her doing anything. With a cast of characters including a witch, a seer, dwarves and of course dragons, Heiress of Embers is the second spellbinding instalment of the Kingdom of Fairytales.
Following famous fairytale characters, eighteen years after their happily ever after, the Kingdom of Fairytales offers an edge of the seat thrill ride in an all new and sensational way to read.

Captivating!
Sleeping Beauty is sleeping once more. Azia is convinced that the curse is somehow tied to her, meant for her. Her father has crumbled, so now it’s up to her. But that proves to be difficult! She comes to realize there’s a lot she doesn’t know. About who she is, about her roots. Many secrets are being kept from her.
This was really good. So well-written, in a more-ish way. Captivating, compelling, magical! The kind of story that you want to read as quick as you can and then feel sorry you’re at the end. I loved Nyre, the little dragon! So enthusiastic.
This is the second book of four in the in the Season One of the Kingdom of Fairytales Sleeping Beauty Series, an intricate and original Sleeping Beauty’s daughter story. You have to listen to this series in order. Azia’s story continues where the first book left off. The storyline is captivating, and fast-paced. During Azia’s quest, we learn a little more about her past. The story ends once again with a cliffhanger, and I am looking forward to listen to Throne of Fury, the next book in the Series. Melody Muzljakovich did an entertaining read of the story.
All your favorite elements of fantasy, squeezed into break sized portions!
Book 1 set the stage and ended with a huge revelation, don’t expect a resolution anytime soon. This is old school serial at its best. The story just gets more complicated and wow does this one end with a doozy of a cliff hanger.
The story moves along and develops well, and the cast is growing.
I have been provided with a review copy of Heiress of Embers by the author for an impartial review. This is the second book in the brand-new Kingdom of Fairytales series and the second episode of four for the Sleeping Beauty Retelling. This continuation is the second week of Azia story. I just had so much fun getting to reenter this world. It’s just so easy to get lost in and I just didn’t want it to end. Oh my gosh the way it ended I immediately wanted more. I just absolutely love these characters and I can’t wait to read the next episode of this series.
Sequel to Queens of Dragons, Heiress of Embers is the second book in Kingdom of Fairytales series by J.A. Armitage.
Azia’s mother, Sleeping Beauty, was again curse and is sleeping again. And Azia thinks she’s somewhat link to that curse. She need to figure out who she is. A lot of secrets is are hidding from her, and no one seems to really know where she came from that night when her parents adopted her.
Really loved this one and looking foward for more books in this serie. Thanks to J.A. Armitage for this arc.
Getting better!!!
This story just keeps getting better and better, the mysteries and unexpected twists and turns will keep you on edge and wanting for more; can’t wait for next week’s book!!!
Azia is back in the second of J.A. Armitage’s pretty darn glorious retelling of the classic Sleeping Beauty fairy tale, Heiress of Embers (Kingdom of Fairytales: Sleeping Beauty Book 2). You want magic, a witch, a seer, dwarves (of course, they’re a “must” here) and dragons (you can’t have this sort of tale without dragons). You want a superb lead and cast in a truly well written tale? You got it here in this compellingly addictive story. I’m already drooling in anticipation of book 3 and, I’m the interim, can only highly recommend this book.
