Any hope Celaena has of destroying the king lies in answers to be found in Wendlyn. Sacrificing his future, Chaol, the Captain of the King’s Guard, has sent Celaena there to protect her, but … but her darkest demons lay in that same place. If she can overcome them, she will be Adarlan’s biggest threat – and his own toughest enemy. While Celaena learns of her true destiny, and the eyes of Erilea are on Wendlyn, a brutal and beastly force is preparing to take to the skies. Will Celaena find the strength not only to win her own battles, but to fight a war that could pit her loyalties to her own people against those she has grown to love? Maas, is packed with more heart-stopping action, devastating drama and swoonsome romance, and introduces some fierce new heroines to love and hate. This book is my favorite in the series!
Rating: 3.5/5 Stars.
I read this book in almost a month. Aka, it was a slow read for me. I don’t want to blame it on going on vacation. The first part of this book was really slow and I didn’t get really invested until about the middle of the book. I just wanted more action with this book and I’m really hoping the next book won’t be as slow. …

I find that each book in this series really has it’s own flavor to it. I love the characters, the world, the story, and so far, I’ve really enjoyed the new aspects of each book, and how the story is building. I’m going to pause here, and won’t finish the series now until all of the books are published and I can binge read them.
LOVE THIS SERIES
I believe this is my favorite book in the series, and I’ve read all of the published books multiple times. It’s just wonderful, a coming-of-age for Celaena, her becoming the wonderful person she always had the potential to be.
Loved this book as well as the entire series!
