Being Hades’s prisoner isn’t all it’s cracked up to be…It’s been longer than I can remember since I’ve seen sunlight, since I’ve felt a breeze… since I’ve been free. Imprisoned deep in the Underworld by an arrogant god, I’ve counted the minutes until my escape. But when I finally had the chance, I couldn’t go.Not without the man I’ve fallen in love with, my gargoyle guard. Who just happens to … with, my gargoyle guard. Who just happens to be technically dead.
Now, we have another chance to escape, but the risks are vast. What’s more, I’ll need to learn to trust more men: a giant gargoyle who cares about nothing but saving his brother’s life, and a sarcastic phoenix with secrets hidden behind his smile.
I’m the first witch, a powerful sorceress, and I’m seen as a monster by many. But are my powers strong enough to save all of us from the cruel god? Or will we be consumed by his darkness?
HECATE’S SPELL is a steamy reverse harem romance. It involves one lucky woman, two sexy gargoyles, and one hot phoenix. It’s also a #whychoose romance, meaning the heroine doesn’t have to choose between her love interests.

This chapter of the Monsters & Gargoyles series is very intense and heart wrenching. The characters have suffered under Hades and the thrilling trip out of Hell makes for an excellent story. Trigger warnings for allusions to torture and rape.
If you’ve read the first 6 Books Monsters and Gargoyles: (Books 1-3): A Paranormal Reverse Harem Romance (Monsters and Gargoyles Box Set Book 1) and Monsters and Gargoyles: (Books 4-6): A Paranormal Reverse Harem Romance (Monsters and Gargoyles Box Set Book 2), you’ll guess that this is the story of how Hecate and Andros escape the clutches of Hades, and you’ll expect a slow-burn reverse harem leading ultimately to hot, passionate sex between Hecate and three gargoyles. Unlike the others, this one starts with Hecate and Andros already in love despite being imprisoned in the Underworld, and a phoenix instead of a third gargoyle. “Variety is the spice…”, and this story is pretty spicy. This Book starts in the Underworld, a very dark, painful, unpleasant place, filled with suffering and pain. Blaise the phoenix, and Orion, Andros’s brother, are searching for the path to the Underworld; Ryane gives them a map. The Point of View switches among various characters, so be alert for the changes. As if escape isn’t difficult enough, the gargoyle Elites are extorted by Hades to make things even more difficult and dangerous; but despite the rigors of escaping from Hades, the Underworld, and monsters sent from the Elite, [spoiler warning!] the four find time for some seriously hot sex. And then the happily-ever-after ending, with a hint of the next story about Hecate’s daughter, Empusa.

Hecate’s Spell is a reverse harem filled with mystery, suspense, intrigue, steam, drama, action, twists and a great HEA. I loved everything about this book and this series. From the captivating storyline to the interesting characters this is a must read book and series. The writing is well done, the ending was great and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
A fantastic addition to the series of standalones. I love that we’ve got a glimpse at the characters through the previous stories before reading this one. We have little pieces of their backstory as individuals and we get to see more of their history. Hecate and her guys’ come together through beautifully crated story with a unique twist on mythology.

We have Hecate’s story here along with the three men she falls for. They are all escaping from Hades and the journey is not easy. However, I love strong female characters and even after everything she has gone through, Hecate has the strength and power to escape. It’s intense and exciting and sexy.
This storyline offers one female, two gargoyles and a Phoenix with an angry God to deal with. The storyline offers lots of action, intrigue and a roller coaster ride throughout the pages.

I love books that feature Gods & Goddesses so this book was right up my street. Witch Hecate (FMC) has been Hades prisoner for a long time. Being starved (as you cant eat the food in the Underworld without having to stay there permanently) and being tortured. An escape attempt (With Gargoyle Andros), a brother – Orion and Phoenix – Blaise, tasks, underhand people and one bad*** Goddess – Persephone. Its a cracking read with great characters and plenty of steam
We finally get Hecate’s story and lawd this is good. So we all know from the past books that Hecate is a prisoner of Hades in the underworld. You also remember Blaise and Orion from the previous books, well we get to see their story unfold too. Hecate cannot remember how long she has been imprisoned in the underworld. She has endured a lot of horrific things. I mean things that should have broken her but she is still strong and hoping that she will be back topside. Andros is a guard in the underworld and he is bidding his time til his brother comes to rescue him. We find out how Blaise and Orion become a brotherhood. Learn of betrayals and truths. Love is found and blossoms. Overall great story and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

Hecate the first witch has been trapped alive in Hades domain for years. The kindness of Persephone is the only reason she is not doomed to live there forever. Her guard, Andros is a kind gargoyle who was tricked into a spell that sent him to hell. Hades torments them both by having Andros torture Hecate. They seek to escape Hell. Blaise is a Phoenix. He seeks acceptance and a family. Orion is the brother of Andros. He seeks his brother. This is their story. I thought it was a good book and I enjoyed it. I would recommend it.

The Monsters and Gargoyles series really might be one of my favorite series of all time! The series has a very strong female empowering vibe and each and every book again I’m blown away by the strength of all these women breaking free of whatever or whoever was holding them back. So, when I got an e-mail from BookSprout that I could get an ARC of the 7th book in this series, I didn’t hesitate and clicked download right away.
Of course we had already met Andros and Hecate in the previous books in this series and I was so incredibly happy that finally we would get to see them breaking free of the cruel environment they were living in. And although we had already seen them, in this book we got to see even more of the cruelties they had to endure and the circumstances they had to deal with. There were a few moments I really felt a little sick and I never wished anyone a happier ending than Hecate.
Andersen manages on top of that to really make the plot exciting and intense. The entire trip from the Underworld, where of course no one is allowed to look back (for very obvious reasons) is a really thrilling ride, especially because just like the main characters in the story we are constantly in the unknown of whether or not the rescued soul is still following. I mean, I’ve read the previous books, I know how it was most likely gonna end and yet I had this racing heart in my chest and couldn’t stop reading until I got to the last chapters.
I also really love how there is always a layer of politics in the books, and it’s usually not a really pretty layer. Especially the chapters from the villains’ point of view really create a little extra tension and it reminds us that the stakes of what our heroes are doing are really high. I have to admit that the characters don’t feel too original anymore (but one can wonder if that’s even possible after so many books in a series with the same premise), but in the end I still grew kinda fond of them!
And after that epilogue I’m really excited about the next book in the series. I was already hoping she’d get her own book!
This was marvelous. Can only love it. I read it out of breath. I already liked Hecate and admired Orion for his perseverance. Andros in noble and ready to sacrifice everything for Hecate. Blaise is fun to be around and he simply need to feel as he belongs. Theirs journey was hard but successful. However without Persephone it would finish badly. It was wonderful story.
I really enjoyed this story. There is a great mix of characters and a fascinating fast-paced storyline that will keep you engrossed and on the edge of your seat. It’s loaded with action, suspense, mystery, danger, betrayal, secrets, drama, angst, and romance. The descriptions of the world are vivid, the evil and despair are palpable, the twists and turns will keep you guessing, and the ending is beautiful. Definitely not a book to miss if you are a fan of the Monsters and Gargoyles series.
I absolutely loved this story. It has so much drama and action throughout it. It is a stunning story that is extremely well written. I loved how strong yet sweet and caring Hecate is. We see that she has gone through so much in her time. To add to the mix her three amazing men that add such a beautiful element to the story. It is amazing story and it is most definitely worth reading and doesn’t disappoint. The descriptions throughout the story are vivid and allow you to easily picture the scenes in great detail.

Fabulous!! I love this series of stories and this one was no different. It hooks you from the very first page and you don’t want to put it down until the end. Hecate is trapped in the Underworld with one of her gargoyles while the two others are on the hunt to save them. You experience both the Underworld and Earth in this story as the journey continues for Hecate and her men. Definitely has an HEA but also leaves you with questions about the next book! Love this!! Can’t wait to read the next one!!
