This is book one of the Her Angels series and the main character Jane Mehr can see angels, not just your everyday angel, but Archangels Michal, Gabriel and Lucifer. She works nights as a barmaid in a bar called Heavenly Arms, in Blessed Falls. Her evenings are spent constantly surround by at least one of her angels and they never seem to give her a moment alone, even in her most private moments or when she tries to get dressed. They have only incorporeal bodies, but they are all hot and handsome! They may not be solid, but Lucifer in particular likes to touch her, which she feels as if a slight electrical current has touched her skin, in the most inappropriate places, especially when she is working and getting her very worked up. Considering she has been seeing them since she was a child and even got sent to a therapist and given medication because of it, finding out later on that her mother could see them as well, was a bit of a shocker!
Her best friend Mandy Stevenson is a police detective and when Jane helps her partner question someone in her bar, making the suspect answer truthfully to the cop, she is asked to help the police on a missing person case. She is known in the bar as a psychic, but that is only because of the help of her angels. Gabriel is a seer, Lucifer can tell if someone is lying and Michael is super observant. The police are looking for a young woman called Clarissa and Jane is asked to go back through their investigation so far, to see where she can help. Lies have been told from the beginning and her parents have told some of the biggest. Mandy’s partner, Detective O’Connor doesn’t believe in anything Jane can bring to their case and thinks she is a waste of space. She uses his derision against him, making snide and silly comments about him all the time, but also adding in a few truths, just to really wind him up. Her trio of angels help her figure out a few truths about the missing girl and her first case gets solved.
She takes this success and her paycheck from the police and is soon offered another job for the police. During the days before that she sets up her own little office to be a psychic detective, not needing any official training as a P.I. due to her setting up as a psychic! Now she has three jobs and maybe something will have to give, especially if her three angels take up more of her time! A vast majority of the book is taken up by her frustrated sex life, as her angels keep making her panties to destruct with their constant touching and looking hot beyond belief, but can’t actually become physical and able to touch her properly. The police case is picked up her and there, but this storyline I presume sets up the rest of the books in the series. So definitely not a book for those that might be easily shocked! The main character has been called crazy and weirdo from an early age and as she got older, the angels have loved to harass her body and play with her. Now she just has to make the most of what happens next and go with the flow. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
Jane a bartender has a curse or well a unique gift she sees angels and not just regular ones these are Archangels and there horrible for her sex life they won’t leave her alone it wouldn’t be so bad if Michael,Gabriel and Lucifer were in the flesh but there sorta ghostly. And that’s just one of her problems her friend Mandy a detective needs her help with a cass even if she thinks Jane is full of crap on the psychic thing until something happens to change Mandy’s mind. So find the missing girl and figure out her angel problem.

Loved the snark!
My favourite part of this story was Jane’s snark. She has a quippy response or a cutting comeback for every situation. Don’t get me wrong, the spicy scenes are also pretty great, but Jane’s irreverence is definitely the best part of this book.
Interesting story. I have read Erin before and was intrigued to see how this duo would fair together since I hadn’t read the other author before. I was confused at first but then was really intrigued. There are moments that are funny and I loved the take on the three angels and Jane.
Erin Bedford and J.A. Cipriano did a good job on Heaven’s Embrace, the plot and characters were strong, the story was written well, it was a strong start to this series. Jane had a strong connection with each of her men, Michael, Gabriel, and Lucifer. The chemistry was strong as well.
I enjoyed this story, looking forward to reading more.
Thanks, Erin Bedford and J.A. Cipriano. Good work 🙂
Soilers –
Jane can see three archangels and converse with them, making it look like she is psychic, as they clue her into things. Although no one else can see them, they can not touch either. When she gets a cut on her finger, Michael heals it by sucking it and he becomes real to touch… and have sex with. I loved that Mandy, a cop and best friend, and Jane are experts at emotional banter and sarcasm while working a missing person case for the police department. Lifelong friends, they do not hold punches. Love the kidding that the detective takes about knitting. Michael, Gabriel and Lucifer, along with Jane, open a detective agency and the series is born.

Wow! What a great read!
This is the first book in the Her Angels series and it was so unique. Not only is it a why choose with three different archangels, but there is also a mystery to solve. I really enjoyed not only the concept but it was such a smooth read. I am now starting to read the next book in the series to see what happens next!!
Loved it!
I recieved an ARC for my honest review.

Trio of Hot Angels: Jane can see angels. There are three angels that constantly visit her. There is Michael, Gabriel, and Lucifer. The main issue they have is that they cannot touch her. Jane gets asked to help solve a mystery and the angels agree to help her. Their payment is a kiss. There are a few hot scenes. The story did start out a little slow but it did pick up. I’m interested in reading the next book in the series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
The first book in the Her Angels series brings feisty Jane and her three sexy men lucifer ,Gabriel and Michael. The authors bring strong ,well developed characters and an intriguing story filled with humor and excitement as well as all the sexiness. It’s well written ,moves quickly and smoothly and I loved reading. Onto book two!
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
A steamy and fun read. Jane is likable in her own way. The angels are hot steaming hot. Couldn’t take a break from this book. All breaks (bathroom, coffee and dinner) on hold. Just stayed attached to book reading for hours. I need to read the next one!

This is my first book by this author, and I loved it! Jane was funny and sarcastic. Her three angels were hot! They really no how to tease and torment poor Jane. She spends a good chunk of the book turned on. The story had me laughing out loud quite a few times and I couldn’t put the book down. I was up really late reading so I could finish the book. Who needs sleep anyways? While Jane’s story continues in book two this is not what I would consider a cliffhanger. It left me wanting to read the next book in the series not throw my tablet down in disgust so definitely not a cliffhanger. I’m not a fan of cliffhanger stories. I can’t wait to dig into book two.
Jane has a gift or well maybe a curse. You see, Jane can see and speak to angels and she has three that always seem to be there. There’s Michael who is the most serious of the three. Then there is Gabriel who is laid back and then there’s Lucifer the fallen angel and the most persistent as the three in his lusty torment. They show up at the most in opportune times and seem to derive pleasure in teasing and tormenting Jane. They get her hot and bothered by can’t actually touch her, they’re not corporeal you see. People think Jane’s psychic and because of that the police rope her in to helping out on of a missing woman. Her angels agree to help her in exchange for a kiss. The only problem with this is they need to figure out how to be able to touch her to claim that kiss but if they figure it out will they stop at just a kiss?

This is an entertaining RH paranormal romance. It is a whole new adventure for Jane, and these angels are only part of it..

Heaven’s Embrace is the first book in J.A. Cipriano and Erin Bedford’s Her Angels series. In this book we are introduced to Jane who works as a bartender and is involved with three angels. Or at least she wants to be in a sexual relationship with Micheal, Gabriel, and Lucifer. But they haven’t yet figured out a way to assume corporeal form so…she tends to be very…erm…frustrated. Jane’s problems become worse when her best friend Mandy asks her to help with solving the mystery of a kidnapped young woman.
Some books you read because they are works of art and will leave you thinking about them for months afterwards. Some books let you see the world in a totally different way than before. Other books are trash but so enjoyable. They won’t grant you any grand answers to questions about the universe, but they’ll allow life to be more cheerful.
Heaven’s Embrace is a book of the latter quality. It’s trashy but so much fun. Cipriano and Bedford manage to create a universe and characters that are extremely enjoyable. I found myself relating to Jane’s way of thinking that you just need to get from one day to the next. Though with my acid reflux I can’t relax with a good bottle of sake or a double shot of absinthe. Heck, I can’t even enjoy a cup of bad coffee now. It’s funny as when I was younger I would have related more to Mandy who is serious and career oriented.
If you are a deeply religious Christian you won’t like this book. I don’t think you would like seeing Micheal and Gabriel being so interested in having sex. Nor would you like a protagonist who wants to do the nasty with Lucifer.
As I’m spiritual and willing to have fun with my beliefs, I don’t mind this aspect of the book. I like how kind Gabriel is while still not being all that innocent. I like how Micheal is in control both out and in the bed. I like how Lucifer just does everything. He helps Jane out while torturing her because…well…he’s the Devil.
Each of the angels have their own unique gifts so they become really interesting because of that. Lucifer, of course, can detect if someone is telling a lie. Gabriel can see all time at once. Micheal notices every tiny detail. All of their gifts are needed to help Jane solve the case Mandy has brought her in on. What makes the angels helping with the case even more interesting is that there are hints of how there are weaknesses to each angel’s gifts.
The only thing really holding this book back is the fact that it’s so poorly edited. There are numerous grammar and punctuation problems. I can overlook a few mistakes as even in Stephen King books there are mistakes that escaped the editor’s notice. It appears that both Cipriano and Bedford were so excited to get this book out that they didn’t edit it as good as they would’ve otherwise.
I would recommend Heaven’s Embrace by J.A.Cipriano and Erin Bedford to those seeking a good paranormal romance with a pinch of mystery.
I got lost in this book! I loved Jane and her sassy attitude and her three angels driving up the sexual tension. To have them all interact and solve mysteries kept me reading late into the night. I can’t wait to read the next books in the series!

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started this book. Jane is sassy in all the right ways and I loved how imperfect she was. And the guys! Lucifer, Gabriel, and Micheal were just simply perfect, I loved the authors portrayal of them. I enjoyed every single minute of this book and can’t wait for more of Jane with her “spirits”.

How addictive was this book then? It helped that the cycling world championship didn’t really start until 3.30, but I still managed to read this story while having the television with commentary on. And I can assure you: Usually I really suck at reading while having something in my ear. So, it really does say something about the book that despite the fact that I was watching cycling, it was the book that really managed to grab and hold my attention.
That’s mostly because the main character in this book is just too amazing. I wouldn’t say the main character is nice, but she clearly lacks a filter. Jane is the kind of girl who says what she sees, who exploits weaknesses and who doesn’t have an issue with making others uncomfortable. Let me be clear: I’d never want to be like her, but it’s quite amusing to watch someone else being that way, especially because of the fall out and the reactions.
On top of that there is this really amazing concept. Jane can see angels, but she can’t touch them. Not only very frustrating for the guys, but also for her. All that sexual tension and NO way to act on it! Once again not something I’d want happen to me, but something that’s quite amusing to read about. The tension keeps on building and building and we never know if (I could guess of course) the issue about them not being able to touch would be solved.
Combine all that with a nice mystery that has to be solved and you get a book that you would actually want to read in one sitting. The mystery might not be too complicated or scary, since it’s not the main focus of the story, but it’s still nice and interesting enough to really add something. And I also like how there’s actually a decent best friend in this story, which doesn’t always happen either. This friend is supportive, but also knows how to call Jane out, something she really needs.
And then there are the guys, but since there are two more books in the series, I will talk about them in my upcoming reviews! (Yes, even reviews have cliffhangers now!)
I LOVED this book!!! As with all of Erin’s books I knew I would enjoy it, but this one grabbed me in an unexpected way! Its different than her other books but just as brilliant!! Give it a go…you wont regret it! You will be up all night finishing it cause you wont want to put it down. LOL Her books tend to have that effect on me! Haha!
Heaven’s Embrace by Erin Bedford is the first in her Her Angels reverse harem series. Jane is just a bartender at a local bar, but she’s not an ordinary person. She can see angels…heavenly and fallen. She has three who like to pop up and show her attention. Too bad sometimes it interferes with her work and it is not doing her libido any favors either. It’s such a downer when you can only look and not touch. The fellas being incorporeal is a real drag and them popping up whenever they please makes it impossible for her to take the edge off. Even though she doesn’t have to Jane feels the need to prove a point to her parents, so she barely gets by with the bills. But when an opportunity to arises to help her best friend solve a case thanks to her “psychic” abilities she jumps on it because who’s going to say no to extra money?
Heaven’s Embrace is a steamy riot of a novel. I am an avid fan of this author and so whenever she puts out a new book I have to jump on it. Heaven’s Embrace is so full of steamy tension that will have you fighting off cold days with ease! Jane is surrounded by gorgeous angels who want to do more than just “ghost” through her. But…they are unable to. Instead, they help her out by giving her insight on certain people leading others to believe she’s “psychic.” One such situation leads her to be asked onto a missing person’s case. Should be pretty easy. Right? Well! Buckle up because this is where things start getting REALLY interesting and HOT! HOT! HOT!
There isn’t much that I don’t like about this book. Of the guys, I think that I have to say that my favorite is the devil. LOL! Honestly, he’s the most fun of the guys, even if he ends up being last. I like the good cop bad cop vibe from Mandy and O’Conner, but I don’t like how Jane pushes his buttons. She knows he’s going through a tough time, that he doesn’t like her, but she just pokes and pokes and pokes! I wanted to shake her and scream STOP IT!! Especially since he’s her best friend’s partner! It’s like Jane is clueless from all the sexual tension and that her brain has turned to mush.
All in all this is a fun book. It’s almost like a slow burn due to the fact that there is no touchy touchy for so long! But I do like that it’s not Jane meets angels, instant attraction, and Jane falls into bed with them one by one. I’m not against that by any means, but I enjoy the comedy and the build-up. It’s totally worth it. I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. If you are a fan of this author and enjoy reverse harem novels then this is the book to pick up.
Well yes this book is awesome. I loved the take on the Angels cause who wouldn’t want to meet those angels. Michael, Gabriel and Lucifer. Well Jane can see them. Now they are taking on a case of a missing girl. Very good book and it’ll not disappoint.
