From USA Today Bestselling author K Webster and Nikki Ash, comes a modern telling of a classic tale. This isn’t a typical love story. This is a story of what happens when love is so powerful and all-consuming that it has the ability to destroy everyone involved. It’s definitely not pretty and it’s certainly not a fairytale, but it’s their story and it couldn’t be told any other way.
I think sometimes when things get super hyped up it’s hard to live up to something so high. I was jonesing like an addict for Heath… I couldn’t sleep, I had the sweats, my heart raced… ok, ok, I’m exaggerating a bit but I was really pumped to read this story, so you get what I’m sayin’. Imagine my surprise when I kept falling asleep through the first section. I mean, this is K. Webster for goodness sake! My mouth is normally hanging open during her books not nodding off. However, I hung in and ever so slowly it got better and better. I guess I should mention that I haven’t read a Nikki Ash book before this one so I’m not really sure I could pin-point where one author stops and the other begins but to me that just shows that they worked well together. It also makes me curious of Nikki’s books since I always enjoy the way K. Webster tells her stories.
The second part of Heath was the best section of the book for me. It sucked me in just like I was hoping all along for. No longer was I nodding off. Now, this is going to be an odd statement for me, I love the way K. Webster brings the most outlandish thing to her story. They seem to get crazier and more deranged the longer she writes. However, I almost felt like the authors were trying to one-up each other on the sexy scenes. It seemed like there was a good chunk of the book where storyline was lacking and sex was all there was. Now, I’m no prude. I love me a good sexy dirty scene just like the other erotica, romance lovers but, I do want a bit more story with my sex.
I know, if you’re reading this review you’re thinking well why the hell is she giving it 4 stars? It wasn’t all a bad story, not in the least. Those were the bits off for me. Catrina and Heath were really interesting characters and I really enjoyed seeing them grow and evolve over the years. I enjoyed the blending of the classic Wuthering Heights into Heath. The writing was flawless and descriptive… so much more descriptive than I needed in some areas. Overall, it was a bit hit or miss for me personally… some areas I loved super hard and some I disliked a lot! I’d still recommend Heath to certain people.
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
This was such a perfect re-telling of the famous classic ‘Wuthering Heights’ ! K Webster and Nikki Ash weaves this story in such a way that i was stuck right into the book and its hold on me didn’t let go until the very end. Heath is a fantastic page-turner, one that you don’t want to miss out if you’re a fan of the two lovers Heathcliff and Catherine!
Heath gives credence to the the quote, “There’s a fine line between love and obsession.” From love that made me swoon right along with the amazing characters to one that left me somewhat devastated this book covers the many faces of love. While love left one person shattered another couple was lucky enough to find a love so deep it transcended any challenge. Though initially I wasn’t sure of what I was getting into when I started Heath I was quickly spellbound by the unexpected story that unfolded before me. I laughed, cried, thought I was going a bit crazy and was left grinning by the end. I love reads that can evoke such strong emotions out of me like Heath did. I found myself captivated by all of the intriguing characters and whether I loved them or not I refused to put down my Kindle until I learned how their story ended. Heath was a phenomenal and addictive retelling of a classic I definitely need to read again soon.
This book is such a twist from what is out there today that I’m not surprised it’s a spin off of a classic. I however never read Wuthering Heights so I can’t compare. What I can say is I loved this story. Just when I think it’s going one way it goes another and just when I’m in love with one couple I ended up loving another. This book had me going through so many emotions but it ended in such a way I’d say it’s a HEA. Without dropping an spoilers I’ll just say I really enjoyed this ride on the crazy train.
THis book was like no other. It showed you what an all consuming love can do to a person. This book was very dark and not everyone got a HEA.
I’m speachless…. I always feel nervous about writting review. Sometimes I don’t know what to write when book is just not good… sometimes I have problem when story is so amazing and overwhelming that I can’t think straight.
I have always this “second” problem with K Webster books… Till reading Heath I have no idea what kind of author Nikki Ash could be… TODAY I know – this duet just blown my mind!
I want to write so much here but I’m really in shock. Knowing K. Webster I was sure that Heat won’t be fairytale…I knew I’ll find here a lot of twists and hard moments which make me want to throw this book away…. Knowing now Nikki Ash I’m sure – K Webster has good accomplice in crushing my heart down.
This book is definetly in a kind “You won’t put it down”. I read it in one sitting, breathless… heartbroken… and with cheeks blushing hard. K Webster and Nikki Ash take me for very unexcepted journey. Sometimes I thought that it’s too much for me, that I have to many histories there.. That I won’t find out where em I. Even if it was difficult to read from time to time I still love it very much. From page to page I was diving deep and deeper in this story. From the one side I wanted to stay forever with Heath’s characters but from the other one I just needed to know what bring me last page.
Dear readers this book isn’t fancy and easy but for sure give this book big fat chance – it’s worth everything.
OMG! WOW!!! This is a powerful page turner like no other!
This is so far from anything you’ve read before. What an emotional roller coaster!!! It will blow you away! The plot was wonderfully written. It is a unique and captivating story that gripped my attention, held on tight, and consumed me until the very end!!!! It was intense, dark, gripping, gritty, emotional, sexy, beautiful, and twisted in the best and worst possible way. There were so many HOLY CRAP moments. I think I had whiplash (in a good way) from all of the goings on. There are many love stories within this book. Each one is unique, powerful, some obsessive, and twisted at times. Through it all though, the main theme is love. All encompassing, all consuming, passionate love. I won’t explain any further because I want you to experience this book for yourself.
I highly recommend reading this book. It is like no other. You will experience all of the feels and then some! The characters are so deep and addicting. You will love some, hate to love, love to hate others. I loved them all! I hope you love it as much as I did. K. Webster and Nikki Ash did a phenomenal job of writing this story that will blow you away. I thoroughly enjoyed it and hated to see it end. Thank you K and Nikki for taking me on this amazing journey!!! It was a great escape!

If I had only one word to describe this book I would say love. What would you do for love? It’s really hard to review this book without giving anything away so here are my feelings. I absolutely was pulled in by the first page of this book. It’s so unique and intense and beautiful and heartbreaking. Sum it up a emotional rollercoaster. I fell in love with each character and even screamed at my kindle out loud while reading this story. Both authors did such a amazing job. Definitely one I’ll never forget and wish I could have more. 5/5 stars in my top reads of 2018
I really loved this book and enjoyed it! Didn’t want to quit reading it once I really got started, even though I had to. I don’t want to go into details because I think everyone should experience this book with not knowing much about it. I will say it had such a great mix of both of these authors in it. Some of the characters, you just love and can connect with in several different ways. They just fit. So if you love these two authors then give this book a try!
If I could give this book a million star review I certainly would! It has EVERYTHING! This story is simultaneously heartbreaking and heartwarming, which I didn’t even think was possible! Old love revisited, new love, despair, betrayal, passion, anger, heat….I could go on for days! A twisted retelling of a classic tale, spun beautifully to keep your attention the ENTIRE read. There wasn’t a chapter that went by that I wasn’t completely engrossed with where the story was taking me and what the characters were experiencing. I reveled in their love and happiness and also wanted to bear the weight of their pain for them. I legit could not stop reading and did not put it down from start to finish. Its been a long time since a book had my complete undivided attention, but this book deserved nothing less. I’m trying to express how much everyone in the world needs to read this book without putting in any spoilers, its not easy!! I’m still just in shock and awe with what I read in the best way possible. My biggest book hangover in a VERY long time! Bravo to these two amazing authors and their beautifully tragic/all the feels novel!
***5 Stars***
Confession:
I had no clue which “classic tale” the authors were giving a modern twist too.
None.
All I cared about was that K Webster was putting more words out into the world for me to read and through it I’d be introduced to a new to me author.
So, I didn’t really dig too deep in attempting to figure anything out until it smacked me right in the face. And when it did…I had to pause and prepare because I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that this was going to be one hell of a rocky ride, and what a ride it was.
I waffled over stating which classic this is a retelling of, but have decided against it. So, if you know, you are way further ahead of the game than I was and I give you props. If you don’t and want a clue the authors released an excerpt…it may or may not have clues in it, but check out their FB like pages.
Now for the very vague and verbal vomity review of this book. This book totally sucked me in. I mean I tiptoed my way to the rabbit hole and fell in without realizing it and found that I didn’t want to leave. I needed to see the train wreck through to the very end and even though it was rough, and that is a huge understatement, it was absolutely worth it because even though I had issues with almost every character, I found them all absolutely fascinating. Love them, hate them, pity them…or not, this story is chock full of humanity at its very worst, very best and everything in between.
While there are quite a few characters that play essential parts in this dark and heartbreaking love story, Heath is very much the main focus and while I didn’t always like him,I couldn’t help but be drawn to him and have some sympathy for all that happened to him, even when he was his own worst enemy.
Anyways, I’m going to cut myself off because if I don’t this review will never end. So, the writing was engaging and seamlessly done and though this is a retelling, you could tell that the authors made it their own. This is, at its heart, a dark read, but there are moments of sweet and it helped to temper things a bit. Is there an HEA here? Maybe, maybe not. It all depends on how you choose to look at everything in the end, but it is a love story you won’t forget.

Lord where do I start! First let me say I’m so happy Nikki Ash and K. Webster decided to write a story together and I hope more are in their future. This was such an amazing story and definitely not what I was expecting. The more I read the more invested I became and needed to know how everything played out. I wouldn’t say Heath is one of my top book boyfriends but his story definitely left a mark on my heart. I’m really thinking about going to read Wuthering Heights now! I promise if you give this story a chance you wont be disappointed!
Well! What a drama packed, intense story! They said it wasn’t a normal HEA type story, and they were not wrong. I think the authors of this book have done a fantastic job. I enjoyed most of this story a lot. It was gripping and intriguing.
Heath come to the Crenshaw household as a child after being found homeless. Since then he has had a very close friendship with Catrina, Best friends which would later become something more that is fierce and intense. Heath is very passionate about Catrina.
Catrina, I must say, is a character I could not connect with. Truthfully, I found it hard to get through her scenes because of the way she acted. She definitely had one set of rules for her and another set for everyone else around her. The way she treated Heath upset me, and because of this it set Heath on a path of destruction.
Cat was a sweetheart, I liked her and I also loved Harrison. These two made the story even more captivating. I was rooting for them right from the start of their story. And Theo, well I would have liked to have known what actually happened in the end with him. And I have questions surrounding Francesca.
This book started off making me want to jump inside the book and having a quite word with Catrina. But this book just kept getting better and better as I read on. It was like having 3 stories in one. But one of those stories ripped my heart out and broke it into a million tiny pieces. I cried, I cried SO MUCH by the end. Oh, this story was so heartbreaking in parts. I felt for Heath so much, no wonder he was the way he was. And when it all came to the peak at the end, OH MY GOD. And Heath’s epilogue… **cue ugly cry** I literally bawled my eyes out like a child, seriously! This book is a lot different to the usual books we read, which makes it so refreshing. The authors have done a fantastic job in making sure this booked flowed well. I would not have guessed that it was written by two people. Even with all the ups and downs, this book is definitely a 5 star read. Take a chance and grab your copy of HEATH
This book was so unexpected! So many working parts! I loved it. These lovers have to fight, and some of them don’t fight hard enough.
For me, this story is about what Heath does for love and the journey he takes to get to his happily ever after. It is not pretty nor is it nice but it’s his story.
Heath was quite a journey. A story of love, desperation and revenge. About learning what love is and what it is not.
I absolutely hated Heath but loved him as well. He is vengeful, hateful and cruel but in the same breath, he is tortured, hurting and loves completely and fully.
Catrina was a strong, hateful character and did as she pleased. She is spoiled and ruthless. I am truly sorry that she was unable to redeem herself in my eyes.
When these two were truly together however, it was magical. They tamed each other in the best way and were at their happiest.
This is truly not your regular romance but brings about the fact that true love lasts forever and will conquer anything.
I received an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I went into this book totally blind and ran through a gauntlet of emotions while reading it. I laughed, cried, gasped, and wanted to throw my kindle across the room. Written from many points-of-view, the characters were well written and fleshed out enough that I had strong feelings for most of them. Fantastic story filled with twists and turns leading to a (mostly) happily-ever-after.
This book….it was NOT what I was expecting!!! I knew it was supposed to be a modern spin on Wuthering Heights, of sorts. But…STILL!!! I’m not going to say too much about the story and give too much away. This book is the kind of book to go in reading blind.
This isn’t your normal love story. But it is about dark, twisted love…Obsessive! These characters are very complex. It’s about money, greed, revenge…it’s very angsty, frustrating and intense!!! There’s lots of twists and turns. While the story is mostly about Heath and Catrina, there are many characters that we get to know and have strong feelings about. It’s a very character heavy story, and all the characters are extremely well written!
Speaking of the writing, it was SO well done. Especially with two authors. Nikki Ash and K. Webster wrote seamlessly! It’s beautifully done! I definitely think these two should write together again in the future!!!
Holy moses. This book!!! I had so many moments where I was like what the heck is going on but none the less I loved it so much and couldnt get enough of it when I was able to read it. Heath, Cat, Catrina and Harrison among the other secondary characters made this story so damn good!!!!!
One of the most intense books that I’ve ever read. So many twists and turns that will keep you guessing. This book is unlike anything I’ve ever read before, it kind of belongs in its own category. There’s a lot angst, intense love, crazy love and unrequited love but, even with all these elements it all somehow works. This book is darker than what I usually read but, I so glad that I did because this book is an experience that should not be missed.
This is a modern retelling of a classic, i’ve never read the classic I will now have to add it to my to read bookshelf and check it out.
I had a hard time putting this book down, There’s moments when your heart breaks for Heath, i can honestly say that Catrina isn’t my favorite character in this story, coming from money and choosing money instead of love starts Heath’s revenge.
This is one of my top reads of 2018.
Don’t wait to read this story
