From USA Today Bestselling author K Webster and Nikki Ash, comes a modern telling of a classic tale. This isn’t a typical love story. This is a story of what happens when love is so powerful and all-consuming that it has the ability to destroy everyone involved. It’s definitely not pretty and it’s certainly not a fairytale, but it’s their story and it couldn’t be told any other way.
Wow, definitely followed the vein of wuthering heights. Its weird reading something like it again, but so good.
I absolutely loved Heath, a modern retelling of Wuthering Heights. I knew a little about Wuthering Heights, but never read it, so I was in for some shockers. What I got from this book was it is dark and twisted, super steamy, and not at all like any story I’ve ever read. It’s about love and hate, revenge, and regret. It has the most complex characters, and an array of different love stories (and hate stories). Heath is a deeply disturbed man who loses his grip on life, quite a lot, but you still feel so sad for him, even when you hate him. I fell in love with the second part of the book and the love story that unfolds. I don’t want to give anything away, so you’ll just have to read it if you want to know how crazy beautiful this story is, but trust me when I say, YOU WANT TO KNOW. Go in with an open mind, and be ready to get lost in these pages. I couldn’t put it down, and I’m left feeling it everywhere.
I’m a huge K. Webster fan, and this is the first book that I’ve read by Nikki Ash, so I just had to read this book! I kept hearing so many things about it. It was awesome! It was dark and gritty! I was hooked from the first page!
Heath and Catrina, what a tragic story, with some happiness in the end.
This story reminded me of the phrases the sins of our father, and repeating the mistakes made.
WOW! It was an emotional story that kept me on my toes, but I pushed to read this as fast as I could, but also I wanted to savor the story and really feel it.
I love K. Webster’s books, and this is a new favorite for me. Heath touches me deep inside, I can feel his love, his grief and his anger and resentment.
5 beautiful stars!
K. Webster and Nikki Ash almost had me performing kindlecide while reading Heath. O.M.G. Whatever you think this book is about, these ladies will surprise you. I don’t want to give too much away, so I’ll just say this: if you enjoy your romance on the darker/twisted side this is the book for you!!
If you are looking for a romance that is different from your typical romance I cannot recommend this one strongly enough. It isn’t a forbidden romance, it’s not even enemies-to-lovers, for that matter I honestly couldn’t tell you which romance trope this book would fall in. All I can say is that it is mind blowing, amazing, and will have you completely invested in the story being told.
Unfortunately, and surprisingly, I had a very hard time getting into it. I was intrigued by Heath I’m the beginning and a few times throughout but he was secondary in the second part. This was basically three separate stories. There were parts I really enjoyed but there are some I am actually disappointed with. There were some surprising twists I didn’t expect, this definitely didn’t go where I thought it would. It seemed to drag and I kept losing focus, sadly this one just didn’t hit the mark and feel flat for me personally.

~~4 ETERNAL STARS!~~
“I’ll chase her right into eternity.”
Holy Moly! WHAT. THE. EFF. DID. I. JUST. READ???!! When the writers hinted that HEATH was like nothing we’ve ever read before, they were NOT KIDDING! This hauntingly beautiful tale is INTOXICATING. Shockingly sinister. And oh so decadently delicious.
As a huge K. Webster fan, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this pair up with Nikki Ash, but they NAILED IT …and are without a doubt a match made in romance heaven! Their collaboration was seamless and their innovative spin on a classical gothic romance that’s universally beloved was beyond brilliant.
THIS IS A SPOILER FREE review so no specific plot details, but I will say that in this modern retelling of Wuthering Heights, Heath and Catrina are at the epicenter of this intricately woven tale of dark obsessive love, soul burning lust, cold-blooded revenge and sweet salvation. And as they set forth on their tumultuous journey together, their actions not only have a domino effect on their lives but future generations as well. Without giving too much away, this inventive plot tells multiple stories throughout, seamlessly transitioning from the present and the past, and the execution was FLAWLESS.
This wickedly twisted novel HOOKED me from page one, stole my breath, shattered my heart, roused my fury, and left me DELIRIOUS WITH DELIGHT! Ms. Webster and Ms. Ash masterfully transport the unwitting reader into an opulent world that’s brimming with angst, greed, lust and soul-obliterating heartbreak! The feels and scorching sensuality were OFF THE CHARTS. I felt the full range of raw, intense, stormy emotion—the passion, the pathos, the anger, the joy, the despair, the turmoil. And, no big surprise, the steamy interludes were BLAZING HOT!
Gah! I loved Heath and reviled him all in the same breath! As far as tragic heroes go… he is the quintessential dark, broody BEASTLY soul who leaves you all aquiver! And…eeep…his rags to riches tale is riveting indeed! Plucked from the streets of the inner city where he was a homeless, orphaned, “dirty little runt,” he was “pulled from a life that would have been nothing but hunger and violence and despair” and brought into the bosom of Mr. Crenshaw’s rich, privileged family. And that’s the precise moment when his destiny became forever intertwined with his savior’s beautiful, pampered and spoiled daughter Catrina.
“He brought me home. He made me his. And he gave me her.”
Over the years, he was groomed as Mr. Crenshaw’s apprentice and would do whatever it took to claw his way to the top and thumb his nose at the sanctimonious naysayers who swore he’d never belong in their uppity world. All the while his all-consuming, obsessive passion for Catrina burned bright within his heart of darkness.
But alas, their love affair was cloaked in secrecy and pulsating with raw, wild volatility. And while Heath was unapologetically arrogant and avaricious in his own right and was a willing participant in Catrina’s cunning cat and mouse games, his blinding pursuit of her—and sheer desperation to prove his worth—was oh so destructive!
Sigh. These two tempestuous loves were fire and ice together, and their own worst enemies! I was on pins and needles throughout, wondering if they could truly ever escape their destiny which was equal parts cruel, ravishingly romantic, tragic, and oh so titillating!
However, even when they were at their worst and most infuriating— and for the record, I DESPISED how Catrina foolishly took Heath’s unconditional love for granted — I was hopelessly drawn to these ill-fated lovers who are eternally tethered together by a soul burning passion that can never be extinguished. And when devastation strikes, unleashing a catastrophic chain of events that culminate in a shocking reversal of fortune, traitorous deceptions and sheer and utter heartache, I was completely WRECKED!! And fair warning: you better buckle in tight and prepare for the TEMPEST to be unleashed.
For as his whole world crumbles around him, Heath sets out on a merciless quest for vengeance—and eeek—his bloody wrath is so MIGHTY AND ALL-ENCOMPASSING no poor soul in his crosshairs has a chance of being spared! Penance WILL be paid but will his enemies’ downfall lead to the damnation of his own ravaged soul?
Gotta read to find out but I will say the way the story unfolds will leave you SPEECHLESS!
There are several secondary characters who play a key role throughout, especially Harrison and Cat, who owned a HUGE piece of my heart!! And I love how in many ways their star-crossed romance eerily parallels Heath and Catrina’s.
So…are there any HEAs in store for these gloriously tortured souls? Eh…my lips are sealed but I will say the ending is heart wrenchingly beautiful and ABSOLUTELY EPIC!
Highly recommend!
I LOVED this book! A modern day telling of a fairy tale was very accurate, I’m not sure how else you would describe it. You get everything you love about K Webster and everything you love about Nikki Ash all rolled into ONE book! Can it get any better than that????
Heath and Catrina’s story is a long one, be sure to block out several hours where you have no interruptions-more than once. Find a nice comfy spot. Have a box of Kleenex nearby. Grab yourself a drink. You are about to be immersed in a dark world full of love, money, death and revenge. Trust me when I tell you, that you are not going notice the time flying by. You are going to be turning the pages to see what happens next. You aren’t going to be able to put it down. It’s just that good. I can’t tell you how many times I said to myself “What the fuck just happened?!?!”
When you are done, you won’t want to be done. Then the processing starts. I’m not sure I’m doing this book justice. If I start giving away any of the storyline, that could give way the plot. I don’t want to do that. Go in blind. You can thank me later!
This was an amazing twist on a familiar tale. The characters were well developed and at some point I hated each of the characters. The story kept me interested the whole time. I have enjoyed each of these authors works and I hope they do another joint project in the future!
First of all a collaboration between Nikki Ash and K. Webster is beyond awesome but then they turn a classic into something all their own and my god do we have something incredibly amazing!! I can honestly say when i first heard about Heath i was super excited and from the first page i was hooked!! Its so much and more and i would definitely recommend this even if you’ve never read the classics!!
So first I have to say HOLY COW I love a retelling of a classic story and these ladies have knocked it out the park with this retelling.
Heath oh my Heath….. what to say about him, there is so much but I don’t want to ruin it for the reader but I will say this. Heath was a man in love and loved spending time with a girl Catrina. They spent as much time as they could together in secret…. yes I said in secret because Catrina and Heath come from two different worlds. Heath is a commoner and Catrina comes from wealth.
Heath works for everything he has and works his way up to get money. He is willing to do anything for Catrina but she is a spoiled Biatch and yes she got on my ever loving nerves and I wanted to jump through the kindle AND punch her lights out. She is so dam spoiled that she wants her cake and eat it to but she is betrothed to another man and she is going to marry him because he is wealthy and his family name.
This is where the story started to pop off and I was like holy batman the fireworks have just been lit and revenge comes back with a vengeance! You know what they say paybacks a biatch! This is a must must read for all who love classic retelling.
Such a great book! So good but so frustrating at the same time which is new for me to say about a book but I loved it that way!
Let me start out by admitting, I did not have a clue what classic tale Ash and Webster were going to recreate with their own spin by way of their new release Heath. So rather cluelessly I had no idea what to expect other than hopefully a great book written by two of my go to authors.
What I found was another complete story. Devastation. Burning desire. Twisted dreams, revelations and a heat so intense that you couldn’t help but be engulfed by the wicked words that laced three generations. Ash and Webster didn’t recreate Wuthering Heights, the torched the sucker and brought a whole new perspective on the story Bronte told so many years ago.
Admittedly I started reading this novel on my lunch break. Please people, if you are considering this then please let me make you aware that you aren’t going to stop in just your short hour. Oh no… You’ll tiptoe in thinking “Hey, I’ll give it a few chapters” and BAM… Totally absorbed by the sheer train wreck of emotions that Ash and Webster deliver.
With each turn of the page, I found something more fascinating than the next. Each character so well developed and written that I found myself loving them, hating them and everything in between. As I closed the final page, I found myself astounded by the mesmerizing tale these two ladies created. No, it’s not Bronte’s tale. It something far more, far better than these authors promises that will linger in your mind long after reading.
Heath by K. Webster & Nikki Ash is not your typical romance full of love and flowers, so beware before you enter. But if you like dark, angsty stories with blurred lines, this book is for you. I was frustrated with the characters half the time and the other half I could not read fast enough.
Heath was a heartbreaking and very angst-filled story. Choices were made that not everyone will agree with, but it was the journey these characters took. Heath was not an easy man to like, but he was very determined, passionate and sexy. Catrina was also hard to like at times, but her choices were not always her own. You could feel the chemistry and passion between them, but their journey was not an easy one.
Heath by K. Webster and Nikki Ash was a story full of obstacles, obsessions and vengeance. It was not an easy story and not for everyone, but if you like dark and twisted, this one is for you!

Happy reading!
This is an amazing story written by two fantastic writers. They seamlessly transition to the point were I do not know who wrote what. This is a modern retelling of Wuthering Heights. I LOVE the original and I LOVE this retelling. Heath is just as cunning and hellbent on revenge as Heathcliff. Catrina is just as ruthless as Cathy. It is simply amazing!
I loved this book!! Nikki ash is amazing I love k Webster the together make a great book. It had so many twists and turns very worth reading
This is such a great read from these two awesome authors! I loved their original take on the classic Wuthering Heights. It had such good twists and turns! I reacommend this book so much!
I have never read the book that this one was a modern day remake of. But I think that after reading this one I just might. This was one book that once I was finished it left me speechless. You just never knew what was going to happen next. I highly recommend that you check this book yourself and see what I mean.
I have never read Wuthering Heights so I went into this book blind.
This story was way different than what I normally read. It was good but different. I didn’t love it but I couldn’t put it down because I had to know what happened. I know, that doesn’t make sense but that’s how I felt.
This story is full of love, hate, happiness, sadness, anger, joy, and so much more.
