Beckett Montgomery is a well-known detective in the New York area. He takes his job seriously and has little time for anything else.During an investigation in to a series of break in’s of an apartment building on 32nd St., he finds himself getting a little too involved. What had always in the past been his job, now felt as if it was so much more.He can’t seem to let go of the image of the … the image of the beautiful, scared blonde with a look of horror on her face. He found that protecting her became all he could think of. Whatever it took, not matter the cost, he would provide her the security she needed.
He assured himself he would remain professional, he would dedicate himself fully to the task at hand and never would he mix business with pleasure.
Yet with each passing second Beckett spent in the presence of Shanelle Kramer he found that the need for her only grew. Her beauty alone made him weak in the knees and that was only the beginning.
He had never desired a woman more.
Never felt the need to conquer, or claim, but she was different.
Maybe just one taste would end his addiction for Shanelle?
But one taste was just a tease….
And he needed more, so much more.
Because the Heat between them was just too hot to resist.

Oh my stars! These Montgomery Men just keep getting better. I thought Ashton was amazing, but along comes the sexy detective with a heart of gold and I have fallen head over heals in love.
Beckett is sweet, sexy and all kinds of Alpha. His determination to keep Shenelle safe, had my heart from the start. And with every page I loved him more and more.
I could not put this one down, I read it in one sitting and loved every single second of it. I highly recommend you pick this one up!
P.S. I cannot wait to get my hands on Knoxville’s story!
This is the second book in this amazing series, and is Beckett and Elle’s story. Beckett is a detective and Elle is a trauma nurse, and these two have an undeniable chemistry. No spoilers; this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a beautifully written story which is sweet, humorous, romantic, and with a stalker, angst, drama, and suspense. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I look forward to reading more from this talented author, whose work I highly recommend for all readers.
Five swoon worthy stars!!! What can I say I’m a sucker for a bad boy with a badge. That is exactly what we get with Beckett Montgomery. He is the total package sweet(she don’t tell anyone), kind, and a complete alpha male. Then we have Shanelle is a pretty sassy trauma nurse that is a bit naive, but believes in HEA’s. She has the best BFF any girl could ask for. I don’t want to go into great details, because I’m one that believes you should experience them for yourself. Let’s just say when you place a cocky detective with a sassy nurse their encounters can be downright panty melting.
This book was the second in the series about the Montgomery brothers. Beckett is a detective for the police force and meets Shanelle during an investigation. This story was a lot of insta-love and chemistry! It was definitely worth reading. And Lex… He makes me laugh! Can’t wait to read about Knox!
Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Well done
These Montgomery men are quickly making me forget the Sawyer Brothers and Southern Boys I was glued to, I thought there’s no way the author can outdo those Sawyer brothers but I was wrong.
Meet Beckett Montgomery.
NY detective, protective, sexy and hooked on a victim.
For the first time in his career he wants to protect and serve in a little more unprofessional manner than the rule book calls for.
Shanelle meets Beckett when he shows up at her apartment after a break in. She’s petrified and not really noticing the detective but she will soon enough!
HEAT has suspense, romance, sexy times and that sweet little something that marries it all together.
This series has hooked me, I love the suspense aspect instead of the standard romance with a stumble along the way, it just adds so much depth to the story and makes me love the characters even more.
