He likes a challenge… instant connection to someone. Which means I’m in serious trouble. Chloe’s a smart, sexy distraction I can’t afford, but one date can’t hurt, right? Only she turns me down. And just like that, it’s game on.
She’s sworn off love…
Finn Auprince is the hottest player in the major leagues. Look up “It Factor” in the dictionary and there’s his handsome face. He’s also my biggest client and I don’t care how easy it is to talk to him or how fun it is to manage his social media accounts, I will not give in to his charms. Then one drunken night, I tell him about my curse: all my previous boyfriends have found their soul mates while dating me. One more heartbreak, and I’ll never recover. But Finn doesn’t believe in curses—he believes in me. Professionally and personally. He sets out to prove the universe isn’t against me, and that his one true love isn’t waiting around the next corner.
The problem is…can we play the game of love and both come out on top?

This was my first read by this author and it was an excellent choice. I absolutely loved Chloe and Finns story. It was such a fun read. It had all the feels. I laughed and cried. I enjoyed all the characters, especially grandma. I didn’t want it to end. Five stars isn’t enough. What a beautiful love story. I can’t wait to see what Ethan’s story is about
The chemistry was unbelievable and there were a few hot, steamy scenes. I liked seeing Finn and his family interact and see a different side to him especially when it comes to Chloe. I loved Chloe and her past, even though it was rocky for her. Love her determination and fierce love for baseball. These two really were a perfect match!! I am looking forward to reading the upcoming books about other characters in this book!
I was hooked from the very first page. I loved the banter and the connection that Chloe and Finn had. Not to mention the definite physical attraction thrumming between them from their very first meeting, when crashing into each other. I like the way the author would let us find out about things the same way as one of the characters, but she did it without us being held captive wondering what was going on with several chapter going by. It was always a quick surprise or event at the beginning of the next chapter. Perfect way to introduce us to a new obstacle, especially when we would get a hint of that at the end of the last chapter. I really liked Finn a lot, and I adored his brothers as well. I’m looking forward to reading more about them in future books in this new series. It was also perfect timing for a baseball story what with that season really getting going right now. If only my Kansas City Royals were back up to their playing from a few years ago when we were World Series bound, and they hadn’t traded away my crush, Eric Hosmer.
He is gorgeous. He is rich. He is a baseball player. Everyone wants a piece of him.
They meet in an unconventional way and it’s all he needs to change his focus. Being on the injured list isn’t something he likes but he may have just found a bright side to it! Heartthrob is a sweet and sexy love story. It also has a dastardly villain. (Really he’s a chump masquerading as a man!)
I have a feeling you are going to call for this “prince” just like the rest of us! One sweet word, sexy encounter, and heartwarming moment at a time!
A fab, feel-good, sexy romance!
“I understand what people mean when they say they feel an instant connection to someone. I can’t get Chloe Conrad out of my head.”
Finn Auprince’s number one passion is baseball. He doesn’t have room in his life for distractions. However, from the moment he meets Chloe, she’s one distraction he can’t turn away from. He finds himself diving head first into the best time of his life. Unfortunately, Chloe is skittish, so he’s got his work cut out for him if he wants something more long term with her.
“I can deny all I want that I’m not intrigued by him, but the truth is I like him.”
Chloe Conrad believes that she’s cursed in love and is not looking to have her heart broken again. However, Finn Auprince is gorgeous, ripped, charming and wholly likeable. She fights hard to keep her distance but there is no denying the sizzling chemistry between them. When she gives in to one passionate night, it leads to many more nights. Unfortunately, her doubts and insecurities keep rearing their ugly heads.
“She also affects me in ways that can only be measured by the pounding of my heart and the spring in my step.”
I adored Finn and Chloe’s story! It had a high feel-good factor that melted my heart. So many things like their instant connection, their developing understanding of each other, the adorable dog, their respective relationships with their families. The story had great pace, fun times, steamy times, and a gorgeous conclusion. I finished the book with a happy smile on my face!
This is my first book by Robin and I absolutely loved everything about it! I will be reading more!
Finn and Chloe were such a fun couple to read about. I mean when you accidentally hit someone’s car on the way to meet your new client you never expect that someone to be the person you just hit. This entire book is entertaining and you can’t help but smile as you read. It also doesn’t help that the couple is so swoon worthy.
Finn Auprince is the All American baseball player who gets hurt during the World Series and his team loses. While spending the off season healing his team has decided he needs a social media manager, that’s where Chloe enters the picture.
Chloe is a no nonsense kind of girl, who just happens to know baseball. Her father is a major league umpire, an umpire Finn just happen have yelled at not to long ago.
Finn and Chloe have amazing chemistry, and I just enjoyed everything about them. The story was charming, flirty, a little steamy at times, and a ton of fun to read.
After reading Heartthrob I’ll definitely will be going back and reading more of Robin’s books. And I cannot wait for book two in the American Royalty series. Heartthrob is a home run for Robin.
Professional baseball player Finn Auprince is as famous and as talented as they come, so the fact that he’s such a down-to-earth and humble guy makes him quite an appealing superstar, but with an injury that puts him on the DL after a less than stellar showing in the championship game as well as the fact that he mouth-offed and disrespected an umpire, the powers that be feel he needs a bit of help to repair his public image, and as luck would have it, the person in charge of rebranding baseball’s ‘it’ guy is none other than social media aficionado Chloe Conrad – the woman who Finn has already met when they got into a small fender bender and he soon learns she’s also the daughter of the baseball official who he had more than a few choice words with during his last game.
Chloe Conrad thinks she’s cursed when it comes to relationships, and her her track record does seem to point in that direction, but from my perspective, she just hasn’t found her one…until now! And while Chloe has a professional obligation to help Finn, the chemistry between them is definitely on a much more personal level, and the more time they spend together, the closer they become, until they can’t help but want to take the biggest risk of their lives…on each other.
The fact that America’s favorite pastime is loved by both the main characters and the author resonates from the pages of the story. The baseball lingo is on point and the passion expressed made me ready to play ball!
Heartthrob is a feel good, humorous, sweet, and swoon worthy romance; it’s light on the angst and heavy on the feels and laughs. I love that Chloe’s curse didn’t dominate her life or the storyline…it was in there just enough to understand why she felt the way she did based on her past relationships. After meeting Finn’s family, especially his brothers, I’m so ready to learn more about them and have them find their one, just like Finn.
4 Poison Apples
HEARTTHROB is the first instalment in Robin Bielman’s contemporary, adult AMERICAN ROYALTY romance series focusing on the Auprince brothers. This is MLB center fielder Finn Auprince, and social media manager Chloe Conrad’s story line.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Finn and Chloe) HEARTTHROB follows the building relationship between MLB center fielder Finn Auprince, and social media manager Chloe Conrad. Finn Auprince broke his collarbone in the final game of the World Series costing the team the game and the championship. Struggling to move beyond the stigma of losing and the realization that his patience is straining thin, team management hires social media manager Chloe Conrad, in an effort to boost Finn’s online persona. What ensues is the building relationship between Chloe and Finn, and the potential fall-out as Chloe struggles with issues of trust in the face of recent events including Finn’s reputation with the fairer sex.
Chloe Conrad believes she is cursed. All of her relationships have ended when the men that she loves fall in love with someone else. Meeting Finn Auprince finds Chloe battling her attraction to a man who has the ability to destroy what’s left of her heart. Finn Auprince is the media darling of the MLB’s Landsharks, but recent events find our hero struggling to keep up social appearances. When the team hires Chloe Conrad, the attraction is immediate but Chloe’s recent history is too raw to move beyond professional and friendly. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
We are introduced to Finn’s extended family including his brothers- restauranteur Ethan, and IT specialist Drew: their mother Liza Auprince, and their grandmother Rosemary; Team PR director Rena; as well as Chloe’s ex boyfriend Leo, her father Casey Conrad, and young baseball fans Josh and Jesse. Ethan’s story line is next in SWEET TALKER.
HEARTTHROB is a story of family, friendship, relationships and love. The premise is spirited and spicy; the characters are sexy and sassy; the romance is seductive and captivating. A great start to a wonderful series.
I am a super huge baseball fan, have been since I was knee high to a grasshopper. So when I find one a book that mixes baseball plus romance and it is written by an author that I know writes in a style that I like, I have to give it a go. Author Robin Bielman knocked it out of the ballpark with Heartthrob. A romance based around a situation that is all to real in the baseball world especially in the world of professional athletes. Finn Auprince is a top center fielder in MLB and is playing in the World Series. Game 7 and last out…all he has to do is grab the ball… what do you think happens? Then we have Cora Conrad the social media expert that he is given to help him during the off season. Cora isn’t just a social media expert she is the daughter of a MLB ump too and man oh man life gets interesting fast. Finn is every bit the Prince of baseball in so many ways and I have to say Cora is indeed his Princess. I love this book and look forward to more from the Auprinces!
Finn and Chloe were perfect for each other! And Robin Bielman crafted the perfect story for her readers to enjoy their journey to be with one another. I couldn’t put it down!
Heartthrob is book one of a new series by Robin Bielman. ‘American Royalty’ tells the story of the three AuPrince brothers. Finn is first up, he’s a star baseball player who has recently been injured and is not happy with his forced incapacity.
Chloe is the girl assigned to help his public image while away from the game. She’s also the girl who got dumped by her boyfriend and then crashed her car.
Into Finn’s car!
Finn is more interested in the blonde bombshell than the damage to his car, but Chloe blows him off and is happy to exchange numbers and the offer to pay for getting his car fixed. She not looking to meet another guy. ever!
But, her new job assignment changes all that.
Finn is Chloe’s new client.
He may be touted as the ‘hottest player’ out there, but he’s really sweet and kind. He’s devilishly sexy too, but his heart is in the right place. He shows this over and over. In one place in particular, he didn’t just make Chloe fall for him, but me too. This part gutted me. I was a snotty, snivelling mess after reading it. You will be too, or you have no heart.
This book packs quite a punch. It’s fun and flirty, has a few ups and downs, as mentioned above but overall, it light-heated, and just made me feel good. I loved Finn, so much. Chloe too, she was a strong woman and even though she was done with men, and who could blame her after what had happened previous to meeting Finn, she just couldn’t resist the effect he ad on her, and vice versa.
A match made on the baseball diamond, I couldn’t get enough of this book, Robin Bielman never fails to deliver the goods and she excelled with Heartthrob. One-Click today, you won’t be sorry.
I am so in love with Finn with Chloe!! They will make your heart pitter patter. Finn is a baseball player, who is injured and needs a social media manager to repair the damage of his reputation, in walks Chloe. Chloe has sworn off men, but soon that may change after meeting Finn. The chemistry between these two is so believable and hot! I fell in love with Sammy too. Two of my favorites in life, baseball and puppies, how could I resist! This book will leave you smiling for a long time, I highly recommend it, it was Amazificent!!
Heartthrob put a smile on my face almost the entire time I was reading it! Robin Bielman nailed these two characters to the point that I want them in my life as my friends! GAH!! Finn and Chloe were absolutely charming and I have to say, their chemistry was on point. There was not one thing I could find that made me doubt their attraction to each other, I was smitten with both of them throughout the story! I truly enjoyed every moment of Heartthrob and I cannot wait to read more books from Robin Bielman!
There is nothing I love more than a book that puts a giant, schmoopy smile on my face for almost the entire story. That very smile was set to perma-grin from the moment of Finn and Chloe’s meet-cute to the very end (with only slight wobbles along the way). I loved them so much, and Heartthrob is the epitome of a feel good story.
Finn is not exactly what I expected from the “hottest player in the major leagues”, much less American Royalty. He was much more likable than I anticipated – funny, humble, and utterly irresistible. My heart basically handed itself over to him immediately upon first introduction, and stood steadfastly by him as the story unfolded. The possibility exists that I loved him more than Chloe did, and that’s saying something because the chemistry between those two was on point and they set my pulse racing, heart fluttering, and – well, that smile. They made me smile so hard, so big, and so often – I was just a complete goner.
The writing is engaging is smart, and the humor hit right at my sweet spots. I had so much fun reading this story. I loved the banter, the adorable playfulness between Finn and Chloe. I loved that some more serious issues were addressed in a respectful, realistic manner even as the tone of the book felt consistently light and easy. I loved the emotional depth, and the sizzle between them. I loved the secondary characters – and the fact that there are more of these books to come. I loved the whole package and honestly cannot wait for more! ~ 4.5 Stars
I loved the story of Finn and Chloe! I appreciated that the author gave some thought into a unique way to bring them together. I also liked that it was realistic: not just the plot, but the characters as well. There wasn’t a lot of angsty back and forth; the doubts that each character had were real emotions that an actual person would feel in the same situation. I literally lol’d more than a few times. Oh, and it’s got baseball and goat yoga, so…yeah, fun times! I can’t wait to read the other Auprince brothers’ stories. Visit my blog at Fireflies and Free Kicks Fiction Reviews for some more thoughts on this sweet romance. This review was written based on a pre-release digital ARC.
Finn Auprince is a little down because he’s had a temporary setback. Chloe Conrad is not having a good day. You know you’re going to have a good time with a book when you have a character that doesn’t say anything yet you can’t help but laugh. There were times when I started looking for said character in some scenes and she was nowhere to be found.
I could understand why the author did that though because being a scene-stealer can be a tough job and it can be hard to bring your focus back to the main characters. It was nice to see the quick development of the ease these two had when they were around each other. That’s not to say that Chloe isn’t a little gun shy.
With the baseball season just getting into full swing, this makes it a good time to read this book. If you’re significant other is a big fan, they can watch the game and you can read Finn and Chloe’s story. It goes at just the right speed and nothing seems rushed. Sometimes I have an issue with speed-reading but I found myself slowing down and just enjoying what this author has created.
It was interesting to watch Finn take advantage of situations and on the flipside, to watch Chloe feel uncomfortable but able to feel a connection. Even though there is a baseball theme, the author doesn’t go overboard about the sport. It’s more like a secondary character that helps the scenes flow. The ending gave me one last laugh as well as saying “ew”. And the author twists that around to make it romantic. She also goes one step further and we get a look at the next book in the series.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Ok first of all, I could not put this book down! From the very first chapter I was completely hooked and that’s a rarity for me! I loved Finn, his cheeky charms and his ability to be cocky yet still so sweet to Chloe. And I loved all the side characters especially Grandma Rosemary! Can’t wait to read more about Ethan and Drew in the other books in this series!
I cannot begin to express how much I enjoyed reading Heartthrob by Robin Bielman. This book was witty, fun and just plain adorable to read and on top of all that, it is a sports romance! Which is one of my favorite romance genres. Finn and Chloe were great characters. They have an instant attraction to each other, but Chloe is there to do a job and her client, well Finn of course!
Finn messed up, to put it lightly and now his team has hired Chloe to fix his image. Chloe is determined to do her job, but will sexy and charming Finn wear her down? I loved their interactions and their story so much. I just loved reading Heartthrob by Robin Bielman. It was such a great read that captivated me and left me feeling happy. Such a heartwarming, fun and sweet read!
Read and reviewed for Reviews From The Heart.
Happy reading!
Loved this book! It was fun, flirty, and sexy. You will find yourself laughing out loud and smiling all the way through it. Finn Auprince is charming, sexy, and definitely cocky. He’s a baseball player with a bad reputation that he needs to repair. Chloe Conrad is a social media manager that is determined to fix that reputation while not falling for Finn’s charm. You know what they say about best laid plans right? When Finn decides to put on the full court press to prove to Chloe she’s the one for him things get all kinds of fun. Fast!
I recommend this book to everyone.
