Hearts Stolen is a wonderful book! Action, romance, and excitement filled the pages. I loved the characters in this Texas based story. It even taught me things i didn’t know about Texas History. Caryl McAdoos books are full of fun and adventure.
This was a very good book. Levi Baylor is the kind of man any woman would love to love. I wasn’t expecting the ending. It is a stand alone book, but the ending makes me anxious to start the next one in the series.
A true to the times, clean historical romance. Some great characters to aid the storyline throughout. This book will keep your focus from cover to cover. Sassy Nightengale was married at 15 and was captured by some Comanche natives shortly afterward. It takes 5 years for Texas Ranger Levi Baylor to come into her life and rescue her,and her 5 …
This book captured my interest immediately. It was the second book in the series, but I didn’t have any problem following the characters even though I had not read the first one. I loved the way the author added a healthy dose of “Texas lingo” to her dialogue. I was disappointed when I finished the book because I wanted to keep reading about …
What a wonderful book! So many emotional highs and lows! An incredible story of trials and walking in faith! I love how we get to watch not only the love story grow slowly and beautifully, but their faith in God as well!! Caryl is a incredible new author to me! I truly enjoyed the audio version! I didn’t realize till the end that I didn’t …
I listened to the audiobook of this story. Narration was good. Sassy was captured by Comanche braves, while she is out visiting her Mother. No one knows, not even her husband, what happened to her. Plus she was pregnant. She gives birth to a son, but he is raised as a Comanche. One day Texas Rangers come into camp to trade for the white women and …
I was immediately in the story. Sassy Nightengale, an independent young bride, has been snatched by two Comanche warriors.
Texas Ranger Levi Baylor, a dedicated and honorable gentleman, is Sassy’s childhood friend. He’s declared himself an agnostic.
The journey that Sassy and Levi embark upon is filled with danger and harsh circumstances. The …
The historical setting of this book was the main reason I was interested in reading it. That was short lived. The opening scene when Sassy is stolen by the Comanches is the only scene that would be offered to the reader to establish empathy for her character. Five years pass in the blink of an eye. All that is ever mentioned of Sassy’s five years …
Great story of trial and triumph. A sweet love story that exhibits faith and redemption/salvation for the characters. I loved everything about it!
The narrator did a wonderful job.
I received a free audio copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving this review.
I rated this a 4, I did enjoy reading but it wasn’t a favorite
