TOP PICK ROMANCE—Romance Times Book Review—“Julia Gabriel does an amazing job with this devastatingly heartbreaking love story.”
Becca never intended to come back to pretty little St. Caroline, Maryland and her family’s quilt shop. Growing up, she was the wild child … and the black sheep of the family … and the girl who couldn’t get anything right.
And she definitely never intended to see Jack Wolfe again. Those fifteen minutes she’d spent with him at a graduation party seven years ago? Unforgettable—for a whole lot of reasons.
Jack was the golden boy of St. Caroline. Smart, Ivy League-educated, law school-bound. He’s home from California for a family emergency, a situation that would not be improved by the news that he’s not the hotshot corporate attorney everyone thinks he is. If he can keep his real job a secret until the end of summer, he’ll still be golden and no one else will be the wiser.
But Becca has an even bigger secret of her own … one that will change Jack’s life forever …

I love the characters! What a great plot to the very end!
I enjoyed the gentle pace of the story as it unveiled each character bit by bit.
Unpredicable plot, great characters and a compelling story line
i thought it was well written and held your attention, for some reason i like books when the father has an undiscovered child, this one had a twist which added to the story.
Good characters keep me interested
Great story. Very original. Lots of happy, tempered with lots of sad. Really a great read!
Well crafted story about a young couple who meet again seven years after high school. I really enjoyed the story and will read the other two books in this series.
Becca returns to her hometown and family after being fired, evicted, and finding all her belongings on the front lawn on her apartment building in the middle of a downpour.
Unfortunately for her the key to her parents home is inside the apartment she is locked out of and her whole family is out of town. She heads to her mother’s quilt shop to spend the night. Of course, in keeping with her phenomenal luck, the quilt shop catches on fire, she’s rescued by the man she had sex with after high school graduation, and the shop and contents are a total loss.
This is my first book by this author and she really drew me into the story immediately. Jack and Becca are both 25 and struggling to find their places in the world. They are both keeping many secrets from their families and dealing with what to do next in life.
Standalone book in a series of three about this city.
