“Hearts of Starlight” is a historical romance novel of approximately 57,000 words. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed happily ever after. For readers 18+ due to steamy love scenes. If you would prefer to read a sweet and clean version of this story, look for “The Scot’s Vow” by Audrey Adair.

A strong, independent woman escaping an arranged marriage meets a hard headed Scotsman looking for his cousin who has disappeared. This may not be an original plot, but the story here is good.
The character arcs are fairly strong (Victoria’s much more so than Callum’s), and the plot is moved along quickly in the middle and end (almost too quickly for me). Victoria’s realization that all women are looking for their Mr. Darcy is probably the truest thing I’ve ever seen in a romance novel.
What I didn’t like was Callum’s rather patronizing attitude towards Victoria throughout the book, and while he finally tells her he loves her, you don’t see the growth in character, you only know that he feels any marriage, rushed or otherwise, is indissoluble.
It’s a good, read, & while the rest of the series isn’t on top of my TBR pile, it is in the pile.
The book kept me entertained and I lost track of time reading.
Great book. Really enjoyed Victoria.
“Hearts of Starlight” by Audrey Adair is
a fast-paced, exciting historic romance
novel set in small town Canada during
the 1880’s. This novel contains
characters that are so well developed,
courageous, self confident and lovable,
that I really hated to see the book end.
Traveling from Scotland and England
are Callum and Victoria, respectively;
this is their love story, filled with surprises, adventure, twists & turns
plus romance. Thanks Ms Adair, for
creating this memorable tale!!

Clever Victorian era gal escapes a dreadful arranged marriage to find a highland laird and a mystery to solve! Loved the characters, the plot and the outcome!
I liked it.
This was a feel good book.
I enjoyed the story line.
Very well written, good characters
Okay dragged quite a bit!!!
This story wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. I found that a lot of this book was fixated on the heroine’s looks. There was also the matter that a lot was left unsaid. Not to mention it needed editing and didn’t quite make feel like I was in the late 1800’s. Something was just missing. And I definitely didn’t feel a connection to them it was more like lust at first sight and repetitive statements.
I Loved this Book. I had a hard time putting it down. I stayed up late into the early morning hours reading this book. The Love between Callum & Victoria was quite Adorable, even though they got off on the wrong foot with Judgement pn Callum’s part until Victoria kept getting herself into situations that could have had her killed but did it for the Love she had for Callum.
Nice use of a different location for a highland romance. Enjoyable read.
Great story, read right thru. True to life. Good entertainment.
A sweet romance.
Certainly enjoyed this page turning book could not put it down
Loved the story.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It has every thing a HR should have, including a smart and strong heroin and hero. It has romance, mystery, out-witty villains, and of course, happily ever after.
This was a different love story that I found interesting. The author left out one part though in the happily ever after story. I won’t spoil it but see if you agree. Hint: It has to do with her inheritance.
I was asked to do an ARC from this author for a complete review:
Truly enjoyed the book. I loved that instead of centering it in Scotland it involved it and brought it to a young America instead. Kind of nice to get outside that same story line you read in so many books. Gave it a 4 out of 5 stars only because there were times I felt confused in what was written and had to read it twice which throws off my enjoyment and it becoming a true page turner. I recommend you read it! I did truly enjoy it!
